Hello girls,

Can someone help me with some ideas in exchange for the loose petals sa labas ng church after the wedding? Our church is so strict kasi, their policy is that "anything that falls on the ground" is prohibited

Same situation here sis-- I've seen couples do balloons, ribbon wands, bubbles. Sayang nga kasi loose petals come free with my florist but bawal talaga. Still thinking which one i'll do, parang ayaw ko gumastos for a 5-second moment hahaha.

Ngayon lang ulit nakabisita. Pero here are my completed DIY projects. We had our save the date shoot Aug 2014, prenup April 2015, and we're getting married on Friday!!!
- save the date
- prenup props such as paper cranes, origami stars, signages
- paper cranes for our backdrop
- small pillows for the bearers
- candles for the ceremony and for the departed (reception)
- gifts for our parents (abaniko for moms and embroidered hanky for dads)
- bouts
- wrist corsages
- mini bouquets for my MOH and BM
- my bouquet

Please help us pray for good weather on Friday. TIA!

I love DIYs! So on my wedding day, hubby & I created the following:

- Feather + Crane boutonierres
- Cake (3-tier wooden stand, ruffled  ombre cake on top, donuts on the bottom 2 layers)

- Backdrop (silky laces + cranes glue gunned vertically on a gold string)
- My wedding program
- Invitations
- Wedding website
- Candles and Ring holder (a slab of wood + marsala lace)
- Prenup props

Our wedding was a Marsala, Garden/Rustic Kind. Our wedding got featured on one of the wedding blogs and they labelled our wedding as 'Unconventional'. You could check out my blog for the pics.

Hey CodePink, I used Powerpoint for my invites and monogram - it's quite easy (as long as you know that the style you're aiming for is doable). Tip is to go online (I got addicted to Pinterest because of this) and look for sample layouts, monograms, graphics, and fonts. If you're in a rush, you can find templates in Etsy too.

^^sis dolphin, what time is your wedding?  If there is still light outside by the time that your wedding finishes one other option are ribbon wands, or balloons.  If it finishes at nighttime, what about sparklers?  Hope this helps

@CodePink tama si sis AnneShirley. I am doing mine naman using Microsoft Word. At the moment,  I 've just finished our maps. All from scratch. I just followed the instructions of 120515, dawn11, anneshirley and other talented ladies here in GT.  It's not easy hahaha. But it's doable!! And this is coming from a person who doesn't have any computer graphics or any IT background.  It's so time consuming. I finished our maps in 5-6 hours straight hahaha.  But I love it. 😍😍 Pinterest helped a lot. If I can't follow anything, I try to google the how's. Youtube also helps 😄😄😄.

Bonzaigirl, OMG me too with the maps!!!! Before we even booked venues I've been doing samples of invites na and I did the map and was so so happy about it! It's such a basic thing: copy and paste the google map and then trace the streets and enter street signs etc, but achievement unlocked talaga hahaha

What's funny is the church and reception venues we eventually booked are different from what I've used in my sample map. But that only made me happier kasi I get to do it again hahaha Weirdo lang

Usually meron sa baking stores like Chocolate Lovers (pero mahal). But i have a crafty friend who sells these. She makes fluffy lanterns out of them to hang in her room and she also styles kiddie parties. PM kita.

Dolphine, i think ginagawa lang ang ribbon wands, hehe hindi binibili. Fairly easy i would like to think. I plan to DIY if ever since im not aware if there's anyone i can pay to do it for me.

Sis, if you want to cost-cut for the wands, use crepe paper instead of ribbons (https://www.pinterest.com/pin/4011087144367799/). Our church doesn't allow loose petals too, so I made some wands.
