^ Thanks so much sis! Pwede pala yung tea tree oil, akala ko too much sya pag you're on tret. Ever since I started tretinoin, I stopped spot-treating kasi whenever I have pimples. Ta-try ko yang tea tree oil. With your current regimen, hindi ka ba nagppeel, like yung obvious flakey peeling skin esp. when you're wearing makeup?

^right now sis not too much flaking na ever since i tapered my tret. pero if i am peeling more than the usual like after chemical peel or power peel, i try to avoid makeup na, spot conceal na lang if i really have to. kasi talagang obvious the dry spots if full-on makeup. trial and error din ako sa makeup na hindi nakaka accentuate ng flakes, so far tinted moisturizer na lang ako now. (OT: i swear by theBalm Balm Shelter, better than NARS and Laura Mercier sya)

tea tree oil kasi mabilis magwork for me, to think i use body shop lang. i just dab sa spot and wala na sya the next day. once lang ako mag spot treat with tea tree oil kasi baka magdry todo if repeated application.

Honestly ang tagal ko nang hindi nakakapag liquid foundie, the last time I tried e disaster sya, flakes all over, kaya when I have to wear some make up hanggang mineral powder foundie na muna ako, I use bareminerals matte foundation.

Power peel involves use of crystals right?  How is radiance peel different from tca or glycolic peel?  What ingredient does it contain that makes it any different?

surprisingly, theBalm balm shelter has dimethicone listed pang 7-8 sa ingredients. so yeah, try it din sis.

agree to this but ang hirap maghanap ng primer na non-drying. but will try Laura Mercier hydrating or radiance next.

yup, power peel uses crystals which are blasted on the skin then vacuumed back to the machine together with the dead skin cells. for me, maintenance procedure ko lang sya if my skin is not too problematic.

actually radiance peel is a chemical peel (salicylic acid based). from what i know TCA is a deeper peel, meaning may downtime of mga 10 days or so and it's more on age spots, older scars, pimples, and aging texture. if you have multiple skin issues, TCA is advised. glycolic peel naman is a fruit peel or an AHA so not suitable for very sensitive skin. i developed skin irritation when i tried glycolic peels so not for me sya. but since it's an AHA of course it targets pigmentation din. and i was told for dry skin din sya which is not very sensitive.

salicyclic acid peel naman works best for oily skin, kasi it removes dead skin cells and declogs pores. obagi's radiance peel is maganda for me because for some reason nakaka brighten sya and tanggal talaga dead skin cells immediately after the session. tamang glow lang not too matte or dry looking in the long run. i'm on my fifth treatment this coming weekend and i noticed changes na in my skin, although not drastic but noticeable na. i received compliments na din from people and i was told "dewy" ang skin ko even with no makeup on.

alternately using safeguard derma sense and dr.alvin's tea tree soap (kasi sayang, included sa set that i bought) to wash my face.  morning, i'm using tea tree toner from bodyshop. at night, maxipeel.. nag-lighten na pimple marks ko. idk whick among those yun naglighten ng marks. may mga pimples pa rin na pasulpot sulpot but i'm happy na hindi na sya kasing dami at grabe like before..

go to vmv for their product and have ur skin type specified so they can access the right product...sometimes skin care must be specific for our skin type and concerns for it to take effect.....buy the whole set or ask for samples to try first.....go to a reputable derma they would really know how to treat ur skin mahal ngalang pero in the long run if its effective in like 3 months usage mas ok na compared to years of spending on products that wont even work mas sayang ang pera....basta medyo mahal nga lang pag like belo or the league of mahal na dermas meron din mura yung di mashado advertised

Thanks baby_chichay!  I was considering actual peeling initially but decided to just try something with no downtime.  Hirap din kasi to walk around with peeling skin. 

I have tried revlite at skin house and it does what it says it does with the pores and anti aging.  When i did the gluta drip, i noticed that it helped with the lightening of the skin and making it more dewy from the inside out.

Massive break-out. Forehead, cheeks, chin. Nakakabawas self-confidence. Hayy. Ngayon ko lang na-experience 'to. When I was in college I rarely get a pimple but since I started working super breakout na.

Is it okay to have a facial/diamonf peel if active ang pimple?

^Nope. Make sure they are healed or dried first. Lalo kang breakout if magpapadiamond peel ka. Magsusugat kasi. Visit a derma muna. They will give you viable medical options.

Hi everyone. Just want to share din my experience with Pimples.
I have a very oily and acne prone skin. I went to 3 different dermatologist
1.Dra. Rose Gatmaytan of Caraderme. in few months kuminis talaga ako. Ang problema malayo na ako sa kanya. mga 10 rides papunta at pabalik. Plus tinamad ako sa dami ng topical treatments nya. so ayun bumalik si pimples. I remeber going back pa on her for the 2nd time nag back to basic kami. acne surgery pahid sa umaga , pahid sa gabi. sumuko talaga ako sa sobrang dami ng meds. so nun nagbalikan si pimples naghanap me ng iba.. yung very well recommended ng bloggers na nababasa ko.
2. Dra. Kristina Reyes of Luminisce - super advisable ng mga bloggers na nabasa ko. kaso nun nagpunta ako sa kanya ang gusto nya ipa inom sa akin is a pill na bawal magbuntis.. tapos every month daw magpapakuha ng Dugo para ma monitor yung mga dapat i monitor sa blood. ayaw ko. nauwi kami sa topical creams the usual toner creams mas konti comapared sa caraderme. kaso hindi na ko nakabalik for follow up so ayun hello pimples again.
3. Dra Christine Javier of Novel dermatology malapit sa amin. isang trycicle lang. niresetahan ako antibiotics same as my 1st and 2nd derma. meron din me topical creams pero ito panalo sa konti. perfect sa tamad na katulad ko: sa umaga sabon-toner-sunblock. sa gabi sabon-toner-mix adapelene and tyrowhite for the whole face - tyrowhite again for darkspots. sabi nya weekly facials pili na lang ako ng swak sa budget. pinaka mahal is 5k Photofacila, pinaka mura is 750 fruit acid facial. I went to Whitening peptide 3500 then nun 2nd week sa glycolic with bosster 1581. continue lang ako dun sa mga pinapahid. so far diko masabi kung Ok na ko. may tumutubo pa din na pimples.. saka dito kay DOc Tin parang hindi nya monitored ang pasyente nya. pag may itatanong kasi ako need pa sked ng consultation eh di palo agad 650 dun. unlike sa Caraderme si doctora rose talaga ang hahawak sa mukha mo lalo sa pricking.
pero I just need to trust lang talaga this Novel kasi ayaw ko ng lumayo. lets see in few months time pa wala pa naman ako 1 month sa mga gamot nya.

meron na ba naging paient ni Dra. tin of Novel sa inyo?? Any suggestion? Ok ba talaga siya? napakinis ba niya kayo?

My derma prescribed me Emolkleen. Para siyang Cetaphil in texture - dito ako nahiyang. Together with M2 Refinish nagamot acne ko. Mahal nga lang yung M2 and yung cleanser I think sa mga Derma lang nabibili. Meron din siyng niresetang cortisoid pero kasi para lang yun nung super grumabe talaga yung acne flare up ko. Now ok na yun nga lang may mga nagsusulputan paisa isa kapag malapit na akong datnan.

One thing I noticed pala is nakakapimples din talaga yung pillow. So make sure guys na labhan yung pillow case every week. And for oily acne prome skin mas ok if you use gel type moisturizer.

Hello😊. Anyone can suggest a good facial clinic aside from flawless. Okay naman service nila, the staff were nice and accomodating. I always have my acne facial and powerpeel there. I just finish my 4 session of powerpeel (promo) but didn't see a big improvement. Im still prone to blackheads, which would turn into pimples and those cystic ones in my chin and jawline. I was considering salicylic acid peel for my blackheads but im worried sa downtime and for any allergic reaction since i have very sensitive skin. And hindi ako hiyang sa products nila especially their cream, it irritates my skin.

Get the radiance peel (SA peel) sa Obagi. This really helped cure my stubborn blackheads, whiteheads, dark marks, pimples from before. Doctor will tell you how often you need it depends on your skin condition. I used to do it every 2-3 weeks then monthly then gradually paminsan minsan na lang when uneven skin tone ko na lang for about a year. No significant downtime sya, just a couple of days na micro peeling lang. I like it for its instant effect na ang bright and dewy talaga ng skin mo.

For now since pricey sya (4500 per session), i get power peel na lang from flawless since minimal nalang naman ang breakouts ko during period season na lang. With power peel, i noticed effects after 6 months of 2-week interval sessions when i started from zero. It works pero matagal. And with conjunction with potent skin care pa.

Sis how much is power peel from Flawless? Pang maintenance din ba to? I really don't have big problems sa skin except sa occasional pimples due to PMS. And medyo matagal kasi mawala scars sakin so I need to cover those with concealer pa kapag lalabas. But I've just started incorporating vitamin c serum and retin-A sa routine ko. And everytime na nagpapapower peel ka ba may kasama facial particularly extraction? Yun kasi yung ayoko, gusto ko sana peel lang talaga.

^2k with facial. (Pricking, extraction included). I think pwede naman without the pricking if you don't like that, so wash, face massage, steam and laser lang if you skip the extraction part. but you would still have to pay the same rate i guess.

If i want a power peel without the facial, i opt for obagi. Mas expensive lang konti, 2300 or 2500. That range.

And yes, it's a good maintenance if you have non-problematic skin naman. Would address brightening and uneven tone, plus with no downtime. And since you use vit c and retin-a (i also use these), walang adverse effect ang power peel sa skin routine mo unlike chemical peels with which you need to halt your tret for a while before and afer the peel. Just make sure you're not peeling or red from retin-a before a power peel.
