Kumpil (Confirmation) How old for kids and is there any solo kumpil?

I just want to ask if how old should a kid would be having kumpil?

Meron bang solo kumpil?

I remember sa parish namin I was 8 years old. I don't know now if the system can be still the same like a kid can have confirmation already.
