Prep Dress

Am i the only one who is not into robe for prep?   My MIL told me that she would be giving me a customised robe and for the whole entou na rin daw para pare-pareho kami.. Buti na lang, my then-fiance was there when MIL mentioned it.  He said wag na raw kase not all entou naman daw will sleep over sa same hotel.  I was so relieved! lol
Our preps hotel kase has a very nice Tagaytay view and green outdoors kaya I was sure that most of the prep shoot after the hair and make-up would be done outside.  Parang it's weird to have outdoor shot in robe..
So depende talaga sa preference ng bride   If the hotel is purely hotel and the shoot would be done inside the room, I think the robe is good na.. But if they would do a shoot outside, better siguro either tube long dress or short dress.  Basta something you can easily take off and yung ibababa lang so it won't ruin your hair and make-up..

^true sis..  I have a friend who wore long sleeves naman during preps shoot, a.k.a. oversized boyfriend polo.. the shoot was all inside the hotel room and hallway.  Depende talaga sa preference

I'm not into robe din. Kaya i wore white long sleeves and shorts. Mas comfortable ako nung nag pictorial ako

^didn't wear a robe either, although I am not against it naman. I had 2 prep dresses (maxi dresses) one is blush and the other is white (lace)-- since i am not into boudoir shoot and lace undergarments, a lace dress is a good alternative for a prep shoot.

yes sis caleeice (the one i use as dp on fb) thaaaanks sis, actually those dresses made my hubby raise his eyebrow a bit. tsk! too sexy for him. sabi ko na lang, i just wanna make sure the dress won't touch my hair and makeup when i change into a bridal dress (lousy reasons lol)

^Conservative talaga families natin noh? Hahaha. When my mum and I shopped for lingerie for me to wear underneath the robe, kakatawa siya sobra. So funny her reactions when she saw me looking at really sexy garments! To think panloob lang yun that no one will see hahaha! That's also why I went for La Tercera because it's nice and modest. I already anticipated negative reactions/comments from the parents and then fiance if I wear something a little too revealing for their taste. Hehe!

Another option that I explored was boyfriend polos but later decided against wearing it because I know I'd feel uncomfortable sporting it in front of my family. Hehe.

^you looked very sophisticated in your la tercera bridal robe, unfortunately pag ako magsusuot feeling ko di babagay sakin..siguro dahil mas sanay ako sa dress? (strict ba your inlaws?) my parents aren't but my in-laws are hahaha. pero so far, wala akong naririnig na complain. siguro nagsawa na magsabi?
i've seen one of my friends din wearing a white boyfriend's polo and denim p_k-p_k shorts (sorry for this, that's how i call them hahaha) for her preps, i don't know pero parang di rin bumagay sa kanya kasi maliit syang babae (as in tiny) although very cool ang idea pero baka may binabagayan ding built ng katawan, or nasa nagdadala lang din.

And sis caleeice di ba ang romantic lang talaga ng mga robes from La Tercera tingnan hehe. 

When I was a bridesmaid during my friend's wedding, she wore this fuschia pink lingerie like lacy playsuit, and all of us entourage members wore white polo shirts, so may uniformity pa din sa pics.  So sya litaw na litaw sa pics. Nakakatuwa lang.

yes sis bonzaigirl, the blush dress is my pre-getting ready dress, and the white lace dress is the actual prep dress hahahah! naloloka ako sa ginawa ko, it was all Gail's idea to change into another dress. so i actually had 4 dress changes during that day, 2 prep dress, a bridal gown and a reception gown. LOL!!! sulit na sulit the pictorial

I was wondering where to get a nice maxi dress? I'm not that tall kasi so usually the really nice ones are too long.

although if i can't find one i'll polo and shorts na lang. panindigan ang pagka boyish

sis rightback, why not pa-alter mo na lang yung length if you find a maxi dress that you really like? if marunong ka magtahi, you can even diy it since simple lang naman ang stitching nya.

sis belle_v2g, kering-keri mo talaga yung prep dresses mo! just the right amount of sexy & classy. though syempre, ang mga h2b talaga may pagka-protective yan kaya gusto medyo conservative. hehe

i really wanted to get a lace robe too pero ang mahalia kase nung customized ones and wala din akong makita sa malls that i went too. there's this nice robe na nakita ko sa landmark trinoma for almost 2k ata na may "bride" embroidery kaso isang stock na lang tapos small yung size. kukunin ko na sana kahit small kaso may nakita akong mantsa. though baka mas marami na silang stocks ngayon.

i settled for a simple gigi amore white robe na i found sa sm dept store. isang stock na lang din sya pero malinis naman. nilabhan ko pa the night before the wedding sa hotel. hehe
900 lang sya may kasama ng tank top at shorts. ang importante lang din naman saken is madaling tanggalin para di matamaan ang makeup.
gusto ko din sana yung boyfriend polo look kaso feeling ko may binabagayan din sya at baka magmukha ako'ng chubby.

Try Seek the Uniq, The Ramp, Rustans, Karimadon for more modest ones, lovecmanila on IG for those 'sideboob' dresses lol if yun ang trip mo :p I got to buy a nice lace dress in Details (The Ramp) before. Cheap pa parang 1500 lang. Im pretty sure they would have something like that again.

The sideboob dress is really nice sis rightback, check it out. i had the blush one but not from the same store mentioned above. and i agree, it is really sexy and appeared nice on photos too.  Medyo need lang magpascrub ng back and whiten underarms kase bare sya from sides and the whole back. But it was pretty and everyone loved it!

Thanks sis f878!! robe ka din like sis caleeice diba? I received the official wedding photos on dvds na and ang daming shots during preps. I loved both the blush sideboob maxi dress and white lace maxi dress. Ganda sa photos!! If i remember it right i got them for like 2,800 each. di pa nakikita ni hubby yung photos pero for sure may pingot ako kase litaw braso, kilikili at pati buong likod haha! 😅😅😅

Sis rightback, I didn't get mine from lovecmanila. I checked their IG account now and it seems like their sideboob dress is not the same cut as the one i got. Pati fabric (and even quality i think) not the same.
