So happy that I've finally visited Coron! Had a fun and relaxing time there.
I highly recommend
Coron Bluewave Hotel. It's a fairly new hotel, about 6 mos old. Here's my review:
Location - strategically located in Coron town across Princess of Coron Hotel. Wala sa main road so there's no tricycle noise but walking distance to restaurants, to the church and to Mt. Tapyas.
Rooms & amenities - The hotel has a relaxing ambiance, all white with a touch of blue ang theme nila. The swimming pool is very clean and inviting, we lounged around the pool every afternoon after our island tours. The rooms and bathrooms are simple but have all the basic amenities you'd need- A/C, tv, hair dryer, refrigerator, hot/cold shower. The mattress and comforter are comfy, nakatulog ako ng mahimbing. Rooms at the first floor have direct access to the pool.
Breakfast and drinks - included in the room price. Limited choice lang, either Filipino or American. For Filipino breakfast, the choices are Beef Tapa, Longganisa and Tocino, served with garlic rice, 2 eggs, fruit and drink (coffee, tea, juice). For American breakfast, the choices are waffles, pancakes and toast, served with bacon, 2 eggs, fruit and coffee/tea/juice. The breakfast is yummy and very filling. Although it's P300 if you want to order another set. The breakfast is served at the rooftop dining hall, sobrang nice to eat there. You get a nice view of Coron tapos very relaxing yung music and ambiance, it's like being in Santorini. They also have a bar there that serves both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Oh by the way, we were always given free stuff. In the morning, we get free kimchi while in the afternoon we get free cashew nuts. Also, you can refill your water bottle sa hotel, make sure to bring water sa tours.
Service - I cannot sing enough praises for the warm service we received at Bluewave! The Korean owner, Mr. Oh, is a very pleasant man. He's always smiling and he always greets us, no wonder all his staff are also very warm, accommodating and courteous. As I said above, they often gave us complimentary kimchi and cashew nuts. All our requests are always granted fast with a smile. We asked for umbrella, extra towels everyday for our tours, mass schedule, etc. They give the best service talaga, we felt spoiled.
We got the sweet room, the cheapest one they have for P11k for 4 days 3 nights for 3 adults, so we shelled out P3,700 per person. In my opinion, sulit na sulit. I would definitely stay at Bluewave if I find myself in Coron again. Please please please check the photos of the hotel. They have a facebook page. Naeexcite ako to know if anyone will stay there coz I know they'll definitely enjoy their stay.
No wonder they have a 9.4 rating sa agoda and also excellent reviews sa Tripadvisor.
