How did you come up on your Wedding date?

Sis awesomecakes oo naman pwede! hindi lang naman pang chinese un, i have filipino friends that believe in fengshui too:) and okay naman ang sunday, usually nga mga napupuntahan ko na mga weddings sunday eh, bihira lang saturday

sis kami naman we got married on a Monday Natapat lang. ..
we are both based in Taiwan, so Chinese New Year talaga ang long holiday...para makauwi ang mga kapatid ni hubby saka yung mga friends at PS namin. Bilang dito kami nagkakilala, kaya maraming guests manggaling dito...Gusto namin maka-attend din sila.

This year ang CNY holidays ay Feb 18-23..karamihan nakauwi after Feb 18.
Tinignan din namin yung chinese zodiac calendar...lucky sa amin ang Feb 23 (feeling chinese lang!!!)..hahaha..then birthday din ng father in law and only brother ko. So there!!! Feb 23 na talaga naging date namin

Nearest weekend sa anniversary namin ni h2b, Dec. 19, 2015.

Things we considered:
- cold/romantic weather
- most of our friends have weekend off
- bonuses ng companies, mapera mga tao, they don't have any reason not to attend.

I requested to have it on July coz it's easier for (immediate) family abroad to go home during summer coz of school. Yet to be determined pa coz we're yet to consult with a Feng Shui Master. Our family flying in are used to not spending the holidays here naman so we're sparing them from horrible holiday traffic as well 

I think kaya madami Chinese getting married on a Sunday coz most (relatives & guests) still have work during Saturdays. This was quite a discussion for us. I want to have a Saturday wedding to avoid eat & run guests. Hopefully, date will still be in my favor haha

we picked july 4 kase yun na lang ang available na date ayon sa venue namin na tatama sa school vacation sa US/Canada since most of my husband's family ay manggagaling abroad.
actually gusto pa ngang i-move sana ng december 2015 ni hubby para mas maka-ipon ng pamasahe at mas maraming time mag-prepare pero sabe ko ayoko nga, gusto ko na ikasal ng july! haha!
buti na lang God really made a way at nakauwi pa din lahat ng relatives nya for our wedding.

Wow! Sis Moana, we have the same wedding date. Ours will be in Tagaytay. Where will you have yours?

We chose 12.12.15 for very practical reasons:

1) Tagaytay will be chilly but not too cold yet.
2) Relatives and friends can come home for the holidays, and attend the wedding.
3) The date is early enough in December that it wont compete with reunions and/or office parties and it's close enough to the holidays so people will be in a festive and relaxed (money-wise) mood
4) Date's easy enough to remember.

we specifically picked a date that held absolutely no meaning for us.  equations like myBirthday + hisBirthday * the cosine of Pi / our 134th monthsary = wedddingDate held absolutely no charm for us.

It'll be a day after our 13th anniversary.
'coz sabi ng isang Chinese AE na nakausap namin, the date still equates to the number '8' so swerte pa rin daw.

Pasali! We have no formal proposal YET (hopeful B2B here haha! *^▁^*) but we have talked of our future together like getting married in a church (he insisted on this, another one of his non-negotiables) & having kids so we both think that a wedding is in order.  I suggested the date - 12/14/16 maganda kasi yung order ng numbers tapos we both wanted it on a December para mas malamig. I looked for the phases of the moon online & on that date e nataong full moon yun, supposed to bring newlyweds good luck & a prosperous married life ayon sa elders. Also we have financial obligations pa so sa December 2016 na talaga kami "makakaluwag". Anyway, di naman natin masasabing yun na talaga yung date as meron din kaming pinaghahandaan para sa future namin. We're both willing na iForego yung church wedding next year as long as matupad kahit yung isa lang muna sa aspirations namin. Good luck with the preps sisses! ｡^‿^｡

Ganda nga ng prospect date mo sis djctapalla23 Me I want sana between July-September 2016 para hindi fully booked mga suppliers. Of all the 3 months, September is my choice. Non-nego ni h2b na dapat weekend ang wedding para maraming guests. So we checked alin sa 2016 ang 7 and weekend since 7 monthsary namin. Supposedly August 7, 2016 but since h2b is Chinese, bawal magpakasal kapag Ghost month.  Then May 7 sana, but election ng May 9 so naisip ko baka matraffic at madaming saradong daan.

Then when we inquired sa Christ the King, lahat ng gusto naming dates between march-may, booked na. We chose our date June 5 since yun ang swerte samin according to feng shui plus yun ang afternoon wedding na available sa church.

Hi mga sis Finally, we've reserved our wedding date on my dream church. It's on October 30 next year. Kaka-excite!
