^dun sa taas ng birth certificate upper right side may nakasulat dun na "remarks" pag hindi kasal dun nakalagay na illegitimate. try to call nso to ask kung ano kailangan para ma change to legitimate yung bata. you will be required to submit the marriage certificate for proof. not sure kung need pa ng court order for this.

^no need for adoption sis. "legitimated" ang tawag dun sa bata. I think u just need to present MC sa nso.

HI mine opinion is simple,
if ever you use the guys surname, well its a big hassel getting passport bringing the child out for trips and madami pang small document.
while pag nasa surname mo, u can bring the child out anytime you want, get document na walang nag madaming procedure.

^Hindi naman sis since illegitimate children are under the custody of the mother he or she need not have a travel clearance. In case the child bears the surname of the father, the mother should just be prepared to show proof of her relationship to the child, usually a birth certificate.

If there is one advantage of using the dad's lastname is that it does reduce the stigma attached to an illegitimate children because they no longer have to explain why their last name is not the same with their father’s. Or why they do not have a middle name.

Ang hirap nito in the sense na di lang sarili mo iisipin mo when making decisions. iisipin mo rin karapatan ng bata, future etc. ang hirap magdecide esp. if di mo alam if how that decision will affect your child in the future. minsan akala natin tama pala decision natin only to find out mali pala. I hope ma enlighten each single mom's sa tama at dapat gawin at mas maging strong pa to face everything.
