It was my mom'S decision na gamitin ng son ko ang last name ng dad niya. I was too young too decide.
Wala sustento, communication , even regalo on pasko at birthdays wala... Kapal

My surname.

Just exactly the same as donya_dyosa as in ganyan na ganyan with matching eyes rolling. Lol but seriously oo. Okay kasi kame at that time kaya ayun, mali maling mali talaga kaya ngayon hirap na hirap kame sa pagpalit ng surname na yan!

How I wish na nga lang tinakbuhan nya ako from the start sana. Sana ganun nalang.

My son is using his dad's last name. Ok pa naman kasi kami nung time na manganak ako and nagplan kami na magpakasal right after I gave birth. Kaso daming nangyari e. My son wanted to change his last name to mine but I told him to wait until he is of legal age and siya na ang magprocess since I don't want to deal with his dad anymore. For sure ico-contest nun ang petition to change his son's last name pag ako ang nagprocess kaya sabi ko mas mainam na silang mag-ama ang mag-deal nun later, bakasakaling mahiya ang tatay niya sa bata at pagbigyan ang hiling agad. My son doesn't get ANY support from the dad (sabi ko nga maski moral and spiritual support ok na e kaso wala talaga).

Dad's surname. Eventhough he's an *censored* partner, he is pasado naman as a father. Gives allowance/allotment, sees our kid when he's here for vacation, as in bonding talaga esp if free si junakis.. They also chat/video call online pag free ang tatay.

Good for you and for your child sis. He may be a bad partner but atleast he's doing his best to be a dad.

I remember my son telling me that his dad is a bad person and I corrected him. I told him that he's father is not really a bad person, he is just a bad father.

I, UNFORTUNATELY, named by child after the father thinking that we'll eventually get married so para less hassle eh pinasunod ko na sa apelyido nya. My child also liked to change her name para pareho kami ng apelyido kaso ayaw ng tatay. Since I'm getting married soon, I'll just wait after the wedding so I can get the paperworks done. The hubby will adopt my daughter so she gets his name din. Hoping the father won't have objections this time since wala namang napapala ang anak ko sa kanya.

I have a feeling that we will not end up together naman and hindi ko rin nakikita na magiging responsableng ama sya sa baby ko.  But our relationship is currently ok.

By the way sisses, ano pala ang irerequire ng hospital sa parents for birth certificate registration ni baby?  :)  Hihingan ba nila kami ng ID or birth certs?

Nothing wrong with using your surname kung di naman kayo mag end up together ng sperm donor mo. My daughter is using my surname and middle name as well. di ko kasi alam dati na hindi pala dapat. She's now 15 and I am solely responsible for her. Just make sure na may acknowledgment ang tatay sa birth cert para kung maging bilyonaryo ang tatay eh may mahabol ka. HAHAHA! Makaganti lang!

Kidding aside, best talaga kung same surname nyo.

When I gave birth then surname ko ang ginamit ng son ko hanggang he was 12 years old kasi ayaw namin ng family ko iapelyido sa dad but he signed the acknowledgement sa b. Certificate. Walang sustento until my son was grade 5.

I've read sa net na according sa law, pag single ka, you should use your surname and hindi dun sa tatay, not unless kasal kayo.

ang advice ko lang kung hindi pa kayo kasal don't name your child after the father. wait till you get married na lang. pag naka register na kasi mahirap na palitan. there is no law that will allow you to change your children's surname to the mother. adoption process lang which cost 100k or more, very tedious process and could take years hindi ka pa sure kung ma approve.
