Starting a GRAB / UBER business

Sino po dito ang may business ng Uber taxi/ transport? Can you share po kung ok ba ang ganitong negosyo? Magkano ang income dito every week at safe mo ba ito? Plano kase namin magasawa ipasok ang kotse namin bibilin sa uber.

Mga sis, Uber rider lang ako. Meron group sa FB ng Uber Riders, Drivers, Operators join kayo. Ok doon kasi me mga discussions ang mga tao.

Based sa nabasa ko, better sya if the owner drives the car kasi walang share si driver and mas maaalagaan ang car. In terms of kita, based sa discussions, ok pa ngayon kasi me mga incentives pa (basta ma-meet yung minimum number of trips per week, etc). But if walang incentives, talagang kailangan ng extra-extrang sipag. According to most drivers/operators din, better if you have an existing car na ipapasok sa Uber or Grab, for extra income. Pero pag kukuha ng bagong car at iaasa ang pang-amortization sa kikitain sa Uber or Grab e medyo risky daw. Maaaring kayanin, maaaring hindi.

^went to the Uber briefing last Friday in SM Aura and sobrang daming tao. Hindi na nga ako na-accommodate (along with other people) kase puno na yung venue. They even allotted a separate room for application/device issuance and mahaba din yung pila.

Maganda yung incentive scheme nila (you get P300 per trip if maka 75 trips ka in a week). Pero sobrang hirap nun. Kase you need more than 10 trips a day for seven days para lang ma-meet.

Nakita ko lang din yung Grabcar, accredited na sila ng LTFRB. I'll try to find time this week para puntahan sila and inquire.

^sis kindly clarify that incentive scheme naman, so pag naka 75 trips ka bibigyan ka ng 300 per trip, is that 75* 300? or 300 sa sususunod na trips mo?

Uber plays around with the incentives every week.
Right now it's below 300 na lang. Pababa ng pababa.
There was a time na wala talangang incentives at marami ang nahatak na sasakyan.

Grab has better incentives right now, pero the question is hanggang kelan?

In every business, merong risk.  Study your situation, if this is the kind of business for you.
May mga FB groups na pwede kahit non-partners para makiramdam kayo kung anong klaseng
negosyo itong papasukin nyo.

@oyie - right, incentive schemes change every time. sinasabi naman nila yun. kaya nga parang mas ok yung grabcar kase licensed na sila.

does anyone know if pwedeng parehas Uber and Grabcar iparegister yung car?

yes, GrabCar is legal na.

sa ngayon, pwede pa yun unit tumakbo both for Uber and Grab.
pero dahil din sa incentives, most drivers and operators focus only on one.
kasi mahirap ma-hit kung magpapalipat-lipat ka.

not sure lang pag naayos na yun accreditation, kasi medyo malabo pa sa ngayon,
nangangapa pa karamihan sa requirements.

if you're eyeing to buy a new unit, better get a 7-seater or higher.
para at least pwede pa ipa-rent just in case matumal ang byahe sa uber and grab.

plus a new ride sharing app is coming in, the u-hop.

This is enlightening. Oo nga, owner na lang magdrive ng car.
Naisip ko kasi kummuha ng driver. sabi 60-40 ang magandang hatian.

Seaman asawa ko. we're thinking mag Uber na lang kesa ang layo layo nya.

@ma.jewel - every mon wed fri 12nn to 1pm. Come early kase napupuno agad.

Nakita ko na yung ads ng u-hop sa FB. Nakalagay lang you pay a fix rate tapos hop on hop off yung labas niya. Not sure about the full mechanics.

^^ me nabasa ako discussion about uhop dun sa Uber public fb page. Parang around 20k yung membership fee. Then mala-shuttle/schoolbus/hoho service na sya. The passengers/riders will need to pay yata weekly or monthly or something.

Ang recent incentive ng Uber is for trips above 50, at least 275/trip ang babayaran ni Uber. Pero pag ang fare is more than 275, wala na dagdag. Then meron din yata 100/trip na addl for peak/rush-hour trips.

Ewan lang if ano yung incentive scheme nila for this week.

^ang mahal naman ng uhop. Sa uber kase alam ko nasa less than 1k magpa accredit. Tapos now waived na yung fee for the device.

Hindi ko lang maaasikaso pa kase yung supposedly driver ko 6pm-9pm lang daw pwede. Parang sayang naman. Kase lalaki lang naman yung kita if you hit the target and get an incentive.

@raspberi yep, pwede female drivers, pero professional license dapat.

uhop, is starting to offer the same no joining fee like uber. their joining fee kasi is for the device, the gps tracker, and for those who will get fix income. pag nagbayad ka kasi ng joining fee, naka-lock in yun sasakyan mo sa kanila, and you are paid fix income that ranges from 25k - 60k depending on the seating capacity of your vehicle. this is ideal if you are after a stable income kasi may kontrata to.

Yup! Twice na ako nakasakay sa female driver. Yung isa BlackCar (Montero), yung isa naman e UberX (Getz).

Na-a-amaze ako sa uber. Lately ko lang kasi nasubukan mag-uber, madalas sa grabtaxi or grabcar ako.
