^ parang ang dami kong nbabasang ganitong feedback regarding Infinite Soul recently? Nakakapagtaka lang dahil very responsive si Monica before. I used to inquire with them sa FB at ang dami kong tanong! hehe! Ok syang kausap, friendly, at nagrereply agad in full details! :) Im almost close to booking them. But I ended up getting Sound Salad(Teejay and Sandy) dahil mas nagustuhan ko ang vocals nila. Baka talagang wala lang siyang internet recently?

^Naseenzoned nya ako once pero in fairness when i followed up nagemail naman agad. She is very chatty nga before andami namin napagusapan. Im asking for a meetup sched now that my wedding is close na. I hope she responds. :) Pero my coordinator friend said kahit di ko na daw imeet actually, super busy kasi nila and veteran naman na so the fact that i gave a songlist already should suffice, basta iconfirm nya na ok sya sa lahat. Im still after a meeting though ideally.

Update: Was able to find and book a replacement DJ already. Thankfully, free din kasi friend of family. This will be my last supplier booked! Thank God. We'll just give him a good token, siguro a hotel stay or some North Face gear since hilig nya. But he charges for normal gigs, i just dont know how much. He'll be playing in Masskara and Zamboanga daw this month. Not as bigtime as our original choice but im happy na!

I was able to talk to Monica yesterday regarding my friend's wedding.

For all Infinite Soul brides-- i emailed Monica our songlist an hour ago and she responded na agad. Will be meeting her in November! Although nameet ko na pala sya before in a cousin's wedding super bait din. Well thats it, basta sumasagot na sya timely now :)

hi mga sis. we have already talked to a band for our feb wedding pero wala pa kami naibayad sa kanila. just last night napag usapan namin ni h2b kung sulit nga ba kaya ang may band sa reception or nice to have lang ito?

kasi during cocktail hour pwede naman music lang. then after program, music na lang ulit. kasi medyo reunion din ng relatives yung wedding namin so for sure most of them would be busy sa chikahan. just want to know your thoughts kung ano mga pros and cons kung meron or walang band sa reception. tia!

For me it is one of the "must haves" for weddings, why? Because I can compare some weddings that ive seen na walang band at merong band , sobrang bored ako also other guests parang hindi interested sa nangyayari, pero kapag may band, parang alive na alive mga tao and nagstay talaga hanggang matapos.Although there's a big part rin na you need a great emcee talaga,  so make sure magaling ang emcee mo kung napagkasunduan mong walang banda. :D Hope it helps you regarding your question.

I just have to vent out here because one of the best-rated suppliers I have has been so unprofessional.

More than a month ago, I set final meetings in advance with my suppliers, knowing that we might both be busy come December. Antagal na na-finalize ng date, time and venue ng meeting ko with Infinite Soul Acoustic, right down to the restaurant in the mall where im meeting the lead singer, Monica. It was finalized not just over FB chat where we usually talk, but on SMS as well. Ok daw.

Today, after enduring more than 2 hours in APEC-related traffic and giving her a text 30 mins before, we arrived on time there, and called her. Sumagot.. wow, nasa Pampanga daw siya for a wedding. I said, diba meeting natin dapat ngayon? Andito na kami after driving 2 hours!! And at first she even had the nerve to say i didnt confirm naman the day before that we were meeting. And that didn't I receive her text daw? Kumulo dugo ko. I said hello, diba antagal nang nafinalize ng meeting sched natin?! So panong di yun confirmed. So walang kwenta pala kausapin ko sya ahead of time kung day before e bigla sila nagcacancel? Ang malala, she didn't even cancel! I had a feeling that was an excuse. Then as i prodded on she said different things, all variations of that their coordinator suddenly informed them they had a wedding today and di nga din daw nya gets bakit ang gulo and so on. I asked her so ano na, kelan na tayo magmimeet? She suggested next week pero di parin daw sya sure. Haaaay. Wow ha. So much for being professional. It's not as if amateurs sila para di pa sanay mag-ayos ng schedules.

I know they have good reviews here and I still like their performance overall, pero professionalism counts so much too.. We're not paying them to just perform on the day itself, kasama na dun na di kami ma-stress sa kanya and we be given a chance to say what we want them to deliver on the wedding day. We are paying clients too. And respeto lang.. you made us drive 2 effin hours ni walang advise na di sisipot. Kung nagtext ka and the client didn't reply, you shouldn't assume na ok na. Of course i'd still be disappointed if they cancelled on us for a wedding given i blocked that date more than a month ago pero she really doubled my disappointment in not even informing me.

P.S., we've been in wedding preps for over a year--- they are the only supplier na no-show samin. Nakakahiya, nakakastress. I've been nothing but nice since I booked them, even going so far as recommending them to friends...so I dont know why they treated us this way. They better make up for it sa wedding! >:(

So sorry to hear about that Sparklingjewel!! I have a feeling they totally forgot they had an appointment with you in the first place. But I can imagine how annoying it would be especially with all the effort it took to getting there on time!

Let's just hope that this is the worst of your wedding preps, and everything else will go on more smoothly from now on!!

^It is one thing to forget and another to turn it around and say it was I who didn't re-confirm the day before ergo it was not gonna happen.. she did not require that anyway. Nakakaloka lang to have to deal with something so basic expected from suppliers. Parang wow, ako client ako pa dapat magremind sayo sa prior commitment mo, and if i dont then its cancelled? Common sense and respect please. And yes, i wouldn't go all the way to MOA on an APEC dry run weekend just to meet with her (being considerate since taga South sya) if the meeting wasnt confirmed. Good lord. I will pray for their professionalism and that they still deliver on our wedding day.

Hi sparklingjewel, im sorry for what happened. I understand the feeling kasi diba ako nga may hmua cancelled on me. Auoko kasi ng additional stress, and i am trying to finalize all the songs na din. Ako kasi im thinkingnif i need to set up a meeting with her too kasi nung bridal fair at facebook lang kami nagkita. I want sympre to talk about the ceremenoy, kung papano kasi i have songs na instrumentals lang, then may ibang may need ng vocals mga ganyan. Do i need to set up a meeting with them? Sometimes kasi yung mga ganyan super additional stress and emotions pa yan na unnecesarry for us.

By the way, full band ka ba with violin or with sax or both? Iniisip ko pa ano kunin ko e. Sayang gusto ko pa naman both.

Yeah they better give you freebies or additional something to make up for the unproffessionalism.

^Hi sis, i didnt meet her before i booked her, but i've met her already in a wedding i attended where we approached her to say na we also got her for our own wedding. She was okay then, bait naman. I never encountered probs setting the meeting, just the ACTUAL meeting.

Submit to her muna yung song list mo, for each part, ceremony, cocktails, reception etc. since sabi nya sakin aaralin pa talaga nila yun muna and will finalize like 1-2 weeks prior to the wedding. I got full band. We were supposed to discuss that song list during the meeting. But now i dont know nga if we'll meet pa since she hasnt even gotten back to me on the new sched. Im slightly offended how mildly apologetic she sounded sa call. I am not expecting anything from her except what i paid for, which is their service.

Hi!

Any recommended band or small group for entertainment during cocktails in a garden area (Mango Farm). Thinking of just getting a singer, kahon, and acoustic guitar to play para medyo intimate ang dating. Para may entertainment for guests during the cocktail hour in between ceremony and reception.

Thanks!

Anyway she called na two days ago to set another meeting end of month.  Im just hoping they pull through.
