Another one that isn't frequently talked about but required in a wedding... where did you girls source these? And please tell me if I missed anything

- Candles (What specs and how many? What color allowed?)
- Arrhae
- Offertory baskets (How many, what are the contents and did you DIY?)
- Wedding cord (How long is this if you were to customize?)
- Secondary Veil (usually included na with couturier)
- Bible (Just any bible or may specific version?)
- Gift for your officiating priest (Cash or an item? How did you give it?)

I've even read of some brides na pati matches customized according to their theme! Not that I have the time for it, but what else do we need?

hello sparklingjewel!! Here are some thoughts...

Candles, Offertory baskets: You can ask your florist or stylist to prepare the offertory baskets and candles for you =) Flowers are OK unless your church doesn't allow offertory flowers and specify fruits.

Bible: I plan to buy any white catholic bible and just attach a ribbon or whatever on it. There are ready made bibles covered in lace at the Wedding Library too.

Arrhae: My plan is to collect 13 coins of similar size, in different currencies, then have them dipped in gold. Or you can buy some vintage coins. Or if I get lazy I just might use whatever coins I find LOL! If I don't get lazy, and have the extra time and cash I plan to buy a silver jewelry box as a container for the coins. Then have in engraved. I did this for my 1st wedding and I used the jewelry box daily and displayed it on my dresser.

Wedding cord, secondary veil:  plan to just use whatever comes with my gown's package. Im not too particular on how these look.

For the pillows, cord, arrhae, secondary veil, garter and clutch bag, ask your wedding gown supplier.  Check your contract, because some have these included.  When I inquired with Mel Orlina, she had these included as freebies.  My gown is RTW so I will be acquiring it elsewhere.  Some that have been recommended here are Beadybeadz and the wedding cord.

For the bible, I'll either use my old one and dress it up, or buy something new.

My wedding veil and secondary veil will be customized by the designer who will make my mum's and my sister's gowns.

As for the arrhae, we've collected some minted collectible coins from the UK and the USA, so we will be using those.  Or if you've got some coins from countries that you've traveled together, and have them either gold plated, that is another option.  Moreover, there are some jewellers that also offer arrhae coins dipped in silver and gold.  I saw them in a bridal fair last March, just can't remember which one of them it was.  I believe it cost from 8-15 K something. 

Our officiating priest will be my husband's uncle, so we have to give him some gift aside from cash.  It will really depend on you. 

For the offertory, we may just give the normal ones, flowers, fruits and a bottle of Mompo.

candles - we'll get this from our church, not sure if we have a choice pero i dont wanna bother looking somewhere else na rin. eto sabi sa w@w:

*Php 1,000 - Candle set with name decals (1 unity candle, 2 ceremony candles, offertory candles)

offertory basket - we have 2 basket of flowers coming from our church florist and ento florist. we'll add na lang basket of goods. ill have to consult our coordinator about this kasi baka may specific din requirement yung church

​Bible, ​Bridal Veil, ​Bridal Headpiece, Ring pillow, Arrhae pillow, ​Arrhae, ​Bridal evening bag, ​Secondary Cord, ​Secondary Veil, ​Garter - all included sa package with bridal gown. not planning on having anything customized na. well, at least not for now. lol maybe if i have extra time and money na lang, effort din kasi to look for suppliers pa and think of all the details.

Unity Coins - ito rin yata yung arrhae? not really sure. but we found a supplier at the bridal fair, it was around 3k only if i remember correctly.

stipend for the priest - we've alloted a budget for this. i think its given to the priest after the ceremony.

nice thread sis sparklingjewel! its good that we can take note of this habang maaga pa and we have plenty of time to research. we can easily forget these details and nakakadagdag pa ng stress kahit small thing lang.

- Candles (clueless din ako dito, ilan ba dapat and [textspeak!] anong sizes needed? May free secondary sponsor candles na included sa church where we booked, ilan pa kulang ko kaya?)
- Arrhae (got this as Bridehouse freebie, di ko lang sure kung kasama ba coins dun? Sorry clueless ulit)

You can buy mompo wine at your local savemore (if they are the big grocers ). That was where we used to buy offertory gifts for the church before.  For the host, you can buy it in any st. Paul's if wala ang grocery. Hope this helps.

Thank you to everyone who replied so far! Honestly sisses i need this thread! I am SUPER clueless about these little details that i dont care about haha im glad it's helping you guys too! I am not too particular also Chili1113 on how any of these look, as long as meron pwede na! Hahaha i just dont want to miss out on anything

So to recap whats usually included in the couturier's package: Bridal Purse, Veil, Secondary Veil, Ring Pillow, Wedding Cord, Garter. Some include the bridal headpiece also but this isnt the case for me..

For the arrhae, my fiance said he will take care of this (thank god as it doesnt seem like a fun task, im so lazy rin kasi Chili1113 pag mga ganitong little stuff!)

On the Bible, must it be new and white or can we use any bible? Ang sayang bumili hehe.

On candles, bzbee bakit ang mahal ng candles mo!? May special kind ba needed? I thought i could buy lang sa normal grocery hahaha hindi ko din alam what specs needed (color, size). Does anyone know? Or does it depend sa church? Di to kasama in any of my suppliers' packages.

I failed to ask my florist if my package includes offertory flowers... pero ano at ilan ba usually kailangan na offertory baskets? 2 flower baskets, tapos 2 canned goods or fruits, plus host and wine, ganyan?  Is this the standard or pwedeng 1 each lang? Sorry super clueless!!

Our priest is a guest priest na family friend (Fr. Gerry Orbos) and i have no idea if he accepts cash or something else! Wahh. Kung cash how much will you girls give? Pwede bang cash lang or usually may gift din?

Mompo is the wine that is being used during communion.  It's a bit bitter than other red wines.    Most big groceries have them. Just ask for Mompo, they will know.  I forgot what section to look for them as I haven't shopped for  these in over 6 years hehe. Some big groceries also carry the host. 

If you don't have it in your local grocers, St. Paul's which sell religious articles normally has the host,  rosaries, and bible. 

The shops at your local parish  also carries them some times . 

As for the bible, some prefer to buy a new one, some are okay to just use the old one. It would depend on you.

As for your offertory flowers, ask your florist if they included it.  That is aside from your church altar flowers.

here's what we're doing:
1) candles - we're planning to buy from ikea and then i'll dress it up to match our overall theme. but i just learned from you girls that there specifications so i'll have to consult with our coordinator.
2) secondary veil - we bought tulle for this. i'll be putting a design on it so it matches our theme.
3) cord - we also bought silk rope for this. i'll put a laser cut leaf (made by my husband) at the center.
4) arrhae and holder - my husband says he wants to use the silver coins that his dad gave him BUT he may have misplaced them. the backup plan is to use our coin collection. for the holder, we'll use a wooden box, which he'll laser cut with a design.
5) Bible - this will be a special bonding activity for us. we consider this very important as it will be our family Bible. we'll be shopping for this when we go on our vacation in august.
6) offertory gifts - we will consult with out coordinator but we're planning to offer fruits and wine.
7) gift for priest - we're planning to give a monetary gift as well as a gift in kind

Yes sis the offertory candles are different from the candles the secondary sponsors will light. Iba pa unity candle if you opt to include that.

Based on the list of my coordinator offertory usually includes: Bread, Wine, Candle (1 or 2), Flowers (1 or 2), Fruits (1 or 2)

Offertory candles are usually just small votive candles

The candles the secondary sponsors will light is already setup in the church. I remember buying 2 white candles for this in my 1st wedding. In the church it was placed on two stands which the stylist added flowers to.

LOL come to think of it, in my 1st wedding I was so unprepared!! I didnt even provide matches/lighters. I saw sa pictures that 2 people were carrying offertory candles, and another 2 people had fruit baskets. I have no idea kung saan kinuha ni coordinator yun kasi I never prepared any of those. I have a feeling they had to run to the grocery and buy fruit baskets hehe 

The coordinator did a good job completing the missing items and not even letting me know na madami ako kulang. The coordinator took care of it like my little fairy godmother =)

Share ko lang, less than 500 lang pala ang magagastos sa mass wine (different pa 'to from mompo) and host (500 pcs). Asked this from St.Pauls Megamall pero di pa kami bumili. Baka sa weekend na lang para sabay2 sa mga need namin i-DIY.

Sis yannuh, the candles ba are not included in your package with the florist? They usually asks about candles during meetings. minsan kahit di included, nagbibigay sila. Pati offertory basket sa kanila din. ask your florist sis they might be able to help.

These accessories (bible, veil, cord, coins and arrhae) are considered the most important component of wedding. Di baleng walang expensive P/V basta meron nito lol!! I heard for catholics, 5 candles, usually. For christians, 7pcs. I ordered all mine from a separate supplier.  Actually we had more candles since we had 8 candles sa aisle to light before the march.

Hi sis, Mompo is a brand of mass wine. The wines that they are selling from St. Paul's may be of a different brand.

^hi sis yannuh, since you'll be asking your church regarding the candles, ask them as well if they accept other mass wines aside from Mompo.
Mass wines kasi are mostly made by certain monks who are dedicated that the mass wine process and tecniques  are followed through.  And they can only be derived from grapes from a vine.  Mompo is one of the most popular brands, I guess because of inflation, business such as St. Paul's need to look for cheaper brands. Kaya better ask just to be sure.
