Do you use tampons?

I am and most people in my circles use pads so never really bothered about the pros and cons of tampons. But for the rest who are, are you aware of this risk?

It's very rare but it happens. I also read that the reason why we continue to see non-cotton tampons in groceries is because of the rarity nga.

Yes. Convenient, I buy from S&R
IMO, hygiene must be a priority. 
I change my tampon at least 4x a day.

Yes, when I need to train (sports), or when going out of town. you don't feel like you have your period. You just need to change more often because the absorbency is lesser compared to pads.

Yes. Pag mag beach tas may period. Pero yun TSS naka indicate yun sa box or sa paper inside the box. Nakakatakot din talaga hehe

Me too. I just use it if may swimming tapos may period ako. Wag magtipid. Change tampons every 4-6 hours para maiwasan yung TSS.

i only use when i'm at the beach. and i change 4x a day. ganun din naman kasi ako sa pads, i change 4x a day or more. so just because you don't see blood coming out doesn't mean you don't need to change tampons.

I have heavy periods and about a year ago, I developed an allergic reaction to sanitary napkins. I had no choice but to alternate between tamps and napkins, though I use tamps for majority of my period. I change them every 2-4 hours depending on the flow, but I take great care not to reach 6 hours. I believe the one that had the toxic shock syndrome was the girl who left her tamp on overnight.

yes i use Ladouce tampons it's much better than pads co'z very absorbent and hygienic compared to pads. You must change tampons every 4 hours. For it's safe to use tampons than pads. TSS only develop when you leave your tampons overnight or for a long hour.

I'm curious and I want to try tampons. Actually nagamit ko na siya once because I had scuba class. Pero sobrang takot ako dahil sa TSS. Pero sobrang laking come on nung feeling na hindi naka-pads eh. Hehe. Might try it on my next period. I do remember na pag naipasok mo na, parang wala lang na. Haha.

And no, I'm not worried about virginity issues... Case study kasi namin ito sa class kaya ang dami ko na ring nabasa, sobrang convinced na ako. Haha.

Curious ako dito sobra. kaya lang parang scary haha! ilang beses na ko nagbebeach tapos natataon sa AF ko. nakakaloka at nakakahiya at the same time. hmmm

Yes! I use Playtex. Sad to say bihira lang sa Pinas toh. Nagulat nga ako eh wala sa mga Makati Malls kala ko meron. Dun lang sa Mercury Drug. May binili ako Femtex yung brand pero cardboard applicatior pero hindi ko pa nagagamet. Kung i-try ko man bumili online sa ibang bansa aba ang tax ay 4k wag na lang 


Share ko lang nakita ni mama sa drawer ko [textspeak!] mga tampons ko. Ayun nagalit bakit daw ako gumagamit nun kasi mababawasan pagkabirhen ko at magagalit daw si papa tapos tinago niya pa pero nahanap ko din  Nung nasa early teens ako gusto ko magpabili nun tapos sabe niya kapag hindi na daw ako virgin lol. Nagulat lang ako ganun pa rin siya mag-isip.

Yes. When I got here sa UAE at nakita ko na mura lang naman nagswitch na ako. Mainly for the "clean" feel and comfort.

Its true you need to change tampons a lot esp on heavy days kasi madali mapuno. But due to this news I might switch to pads at night instead kasi I won't be able to change nga naman pag tulog ako.

Yes. I use kotex brand. Although ginagamit ko lang pag nataon na may period ako tapos may swimming or magpapamassage hehe. Mahal kasi eh tsaka ang hirap hanapin. So pag need lang talaga tsaka ko ginagamit. Pads parin ang primary use ko.

Gumagamit ako dati, Playtex brand. Yun lang for me medyo messy siya upon application kasi you have to be in a certain position when putting it in diba, eh minsan pepwesto palang ako umaagos na yung dugo ko  . Pag hindi ka pa sanay medyo uncomfortable talaga, kaya ako when I first started using them nilalagyan ko talaga ng lube yung applicator to lessen the discomfort and to get it over it. Once it's properly put in naman na you shouldn't be able to feel it. What I hate the most is taking it out though, since pag ang dami na niyang naabsorb and you try to pull it out, parang lumalaban, tapos pag natanggal mo na eh sing laki na siya ng napkin paglabas 

As for TSS, you shouldn't be worried about it if you frequently change tampons. TSS happens if you leave tampons in for more than the recommended amount of time. I used to change mine every 4 hours and I haven't had a problem. Use tampons when you are awake, if you're going to bed then change to pads instead.
