@joanner, hindi tumuloy sa blastocyst si embryo dahil sa chromosomal abnormalities. Ganoon talaga 30-40% chance of success lang talaga ang IVF better take DHEA na to improve your egg's quality


@ttc4aab, you have an option naman to opt for a female doctor. Medyo nahiya rin ako sa male doctor noong 1st 2 egg harvests ko. Medyo uncomfortable.


Since then, I requested kung pwedeng female doctor pag harvests and transfer. They have 2 female doctors so hindi naman affected ang waiting time

Hello, i'm new sa thread and been reading for quite sometime now. And ang question ko ay never bang naging issue sa mga hubby nyo ang male OB? Hesitant kasi si hubby. Gusto nya sa female ako rin naman kaso i don't have a choice kapag sino  yung nandun sa kato ng time ng appointment sya ang titingin. any comment and suggestion? Thank you!

Hi sis ttc4abb! As they said, you can choose naman whether si Dr. Perillo or Dr. Ong-Jao gumawa sa'yo. Pero nung sakin kasi, though si Dr. Perillo sa transfer, the embryologist who was there inside the OR was a guy. Siya yung nag "turnover" ng embryo kay Doc before she put it in. hehe Check mo nalang din with KATO if you really want na all-girls lang ang mag-aassist sa'yo. Mabait naman sila so I don't think it would be a problem.

Update lang, i have started my ivf journey last tuesday minimal stimulation... Di nakame nag try ng natural ni hubby even though qualified kame...

On my day 2, ive done a series of blood test all came out as normal though anemic ako kaloka... Pero dra ong jiao says na di naman daw makaka affect yun sa ivf... Ive start taking meds na letrozole, serophene and gonal f and i will be back this sunday for monitoring... Btw last bscope nung tuesday may 7 follicles nako without stimulation... 3 daw sa left and 4 sa right... Hoping na everything will be good this sunday para matuloy na ang harvest this month

Question: masakit ba harvest? Anong anesthesia ginagamit?

Hi mga sis!

It seems the forum got quiet. Anyway, share ko lang. I'm currently 8w1d today. I'll have my next checkup tomorrow after 10 days. Sana okay naman. Lahat yata ng rare napunta sa akin.  Sabi ni Doc, the baby is growing as per expectation, but my gestational sac is quite small. Dapat pala the measurement of the baby and the gestational sac should have a difference of at least 5mm. Mine is at 4.3mm. This occurrence only happens 1.7% in pregnancies. Aside from that, I have low levels of progesterone.

Haaaay, sana talaga si Baby is doing okay. Hubby and I are praying that everything goes well tomorrow.

We just completed our first treatment with Kato. We had IUI done 3 weeks ago and sadly it was negative. Doctors at Kato said we can proceed with natural cycle IVF and will go back on the second day of my wife's period. Looking back at the total cost of IUI, it would be best to just go for IVF on the first try since if you fail with IUI. The cost is almost half of the cost if you fail with natural cycle IVF but with natural cycle IVF you have double the chance for success even if you pay more with a BFP via IVF.

Just my 2 cents on comparing IUI and natural cycle IVF.

Hi sisses! I'm new to this thread but I've been following ur posts and stories here. We've been TTC for almost 9years. Though we had our initial consultation already with Kato, we're still deciding whether we do our first IVF with KATO or in Taiwan. Can anyone one here can share me their reasons why you chose KATO over other fertility centers? Maybe this can help me weigh things out. Thanks all!

Hello sissies! I'm new here I just need some prep tips for my embryo transfer (our 2nd try). I'm almost done now with my LIT and by nextweek check na ulit ng LAT (which I hope tumaas na) then proceed immediately to transfer na, probably on Oct to Dec.  Ask ko lang ano ba special preparation na pwede ko gawin? Since sa first namen I was just very complacent di ako prepared masyado. Also, sino dito guys naka try ng USANA? I'm considering kasi. Thankie! 😘

Hello sissies! we've just started minimal IVF with KATO. I had my blood tests done 3 days ago and been taking the meds now.. letrozole, gonal f, clomiphene.. I'm just worried now that i have not prepared my body that much, because I've read recently that most patients undergoing IVF are taking supplements, acupuncture, etc at least 3 months before. Does anyone here personally or have known anyone who've had successful IVF even without these preparations?

Same here... Been super drunk for a week I stop drinking Sunday Lang  , tapos Sep 29 Tuesday I had my period that's why I went to kato wed Sep 30 and now taking meds... Ayaw ko na mag prepare ko pag nag pre-prepare ako lagi Lang me na lulungkot.... They only thing I take us folic acid and cqo10 [textspeak!] letrozole antukin ako for some reason how about you?

Hi sis diezel, I'm only taking folic acid, vit c, and b complex. I bought Royal Jelly but nagdadalawang isip pa ako inumin. When did u start taking Coq10? I was there also last sep30. Is it your first IVF?

Hi ttc4abb, it was also my first time to be handled by a male OB. Quite hesitant at first, but later on i became comfortable. He's very professional and I became more comfortable with him. My first 2 visits were handled by Dr. P and OJ, but on the latter part it was Dr. M most of the time.
First encounter with him, he did my TVS. I told it later kay DH, he even joked me, that i should have removed my top also hahah.. So hubby just makes fun out of it. He also did my oocyte retrieval, medyo awkward as i was totally spread out in front of him. I just told myself, ok lang coz i trust Dr.M on what he's doing. What's important is the success of this procedure;)

^It was also Dr. M who did my first oocyte retrieval. Ang awkward talaga >_< Dati sa St. Lukes, medyo covered ka pa. Sa Kato, exposed agad pagkahiga mo pa lang hehe.


the next 2 retrievals, nagrequest na ako ng female doctors ngayon my OB is male again after graduating Kato (he was my gyne-onco). Currently at my 12th week. Sana talaga CS ang gawin sakin

Hi sis au_chic! Yeah! I agree Yung pagka spread mo sa kato parang medyo kelangan ng flexibility sa legs;)
Btw, its nice to hear BFP ka na. Somehow, it gives us and others a big hope and positivity. I'm still in the first phase of the process, still waiting for the outcome of our eggs.

Hi everyone the vitamins I was taking are folic acid 80mg and cqo10 100mg both from healthy option, my harvest day was yesterday (Saturday) Oct 10 2015 by 8:30 that morning I'm inside the recovery room already waiting with other mommies to be☺️ I got 9 follicles in total but 5 Lang Ang may laman na eggs, Kay hubby naman they got 8M sperm 😏 So far I'm happy kc dati nung nag follicles monitoring ako 2 or 3 Lang Ang Meron ako na follicles I think the cqo10 did help me. Take note I've been taking them for 2 weeks lang before the harvest.
