Share ko lang bukas i'll have hssg testing in kato but prior to that mag coconsult muna kame kasi we wanted to tell doctora perillo na di nakme mag nanatural ivf and we will proceed with minimal stimulation na agad
 Question lang pano kayo nag prep ng ivf nyo? Dapat ba three months prep nga sya like ng mga nababasa kong article? Though regular naman akong nag kakaroon never ako nakamiss nang monthly period paminsan longer period lang, i wonder kung May  mga preperation  ba na dapat namin gawin? A month ago kasi we stop taking bee pollen and follic acid kasi we wanted na doctor yung mag sabi sa amen ng mga itatake...
And last month visit ko sa ob she reccommend me to take duphaston for ten days para daw pag preggy nako eh kumapit if not mag kakaroon daw ako... After tenth day nagkaroon naman ako started with normal but nung 3rd and 4th day super lakas at ang tindi ng cramps ko na first time kong naranasan kina ilangan ko pa mag iron at ibufrofen diko alam kung dahil ba sya sa duphaston or biglang naging ganun mas kinabahan tuloy ako ...

Kaya gusto kong ask kung ittest ka ba ng kato to check if you are polycystic or kung may endo ka before harvest? Kasi dati wala akong ganun pero dahil sa nangyari sa aken this cycle kinabahan ako na may something wrong... Gusto ko sana icorrect lahat before gawin yung ivf tlaga

Hi eveyone.
 Iv been reading ur posts at napick [textspeak!] nterest ko sa IVF. Im 5 yrs married and no baby pa. My hubby n i wud like to hav one so try n try talaga habang 'young' pa:) my hubby is a seaman so palaging wala n timing is critical so id rather go for IVF nlng. After reading dis thread id like to ask, whats the socks for after FET? Im from d province, ano kaya maadvise mga sis na tagaprovince partcularly sa travel n hotel. Tnx

Hi. Wearing socks, drinking warm water and eating warm food are recommended after embryo transfer. Mas okay daw kasi na hindi malamig ang temp ng body/uterus mo for the embryo. Siguro kasi diba there are countries na may winter season. Tapos diba yung ibang flooring sa bahay, malamig. Saka food na malamig like watermelon. Kaya this is advised.

chiclet_24, don't stress about it. Ang doctor and tests mo lang makakapagsabi kung may PCOS and endo ka. It is better to complete your tests muna talaga. I never thought I have PCOS because I'm regular with my period. Sometimes I have cramps and sometimes I don't. Ultrasound showed I have PCOS. Pinaka symptom ko na siguro is I exercise regularly but I don't lose weight. Kahit I eat mostly brown rice. BMI ko is almost overweight. I have to take metformin and I try to be gluten free, mahirap! And I try to avoid sugar and carbs,again mahirap. I do these to help the quality of my eggs din. Hysteroscopy/Endo biopsy naman ang nag show na wala namang evidence that I have endo pero syempre Laparoscopy talaga makakapagsabi noon.

So like I mentioned, yung quality ng egg and sama na rin natin ang sperm. I don't know your history ng magasawa and what is your problem why you're not getting pregnant. Pero kasi people usually prepare 3 months before IVF kasi it takes 3 months para mag ka effect halos lahat ng ginagawa natin. Like acupuncture, other food and vitamins. Just make sure that you have started your prenatal vitamins. Pag mas ok ang quality ng egg & sperm, dapat mas okay ang embryo

Whether you are TTC or not, CoQ10 is beneficial for anyone/everyone. It's not a supplement, meaning we have this in our body. But as we get older, nababawasan siya. Taking CoQ10 helps with cell regeneration. In my case, I believe it's one of the things that helped me a lot in conceiving. I was under natural IVF protocol because stimms wouldn't work on me, so I had to work on developing quality eggs.

As far as I understand, DHEA helps with quantity, while CoQ10 helps with quality.

Hi sis, I hope you don't mind, may I ask where you've seen the evidence of a research that CoQ10 actually has an effect on egg quality? I've been searching Pubmed and Cochrane, but its effects on the sperm quality lang ang meron:
Effects of the reduced form of coenzyme Q10 (ubiquinol) on semen parameters in men with idiopathic infertility: a double-blind, placebo controlled, randomized study.

I've been cautious of taking too much supplements kasi (CoQ10 is labelled as a supplement), since this news came out early this year:

VITAMIN SUPPLEMENTS can INCREASE RISK OF CANCER AND HEART DISEASE.

And of course, because of the controversial Dr. Oz Effect O_o (he's a TCVS Surgeon in the US who made false claims about diet pills on TV to earn money)

I had my endometrial scratching yesterday. The pain was less than expected yay ^_^ buti na lang I took naproxen 30min prior. Sana pag maglalabor na, pwede rin mag-pain killers hehe

Papaharvest ulit ako this cycle para pwedeng fresh or domino transfer. Nagulat ang mga nurses dun na bumalik ako agad. Usually raw kasi nagpapahinga ang patients after a failed IVF. But I don't have that much time left, so go lang ng go ^_^

We are with you au_chic. Tama yan go lang ng go kung pwede. This process gives us heartaches but one day we don't want to look back and realize that we did not give our best and try our best!

@mamacita, That's good! Let's claim na sana magtuloy tuloy. Yung LAT test ba, parehas kayo kukunan ng dugo ng husband mo? Diba positive ka rin sa Category 2? Nabasa ko kasi sa book na gamot doon blood thinner. I'm not sure pero baka you are already taking medications for that too.

Hi everyone! Until today I was a "lurker" here. I've been following this and the previous thread over the past 4 months, and I find the sharing of experiences here very useful and encouraging. So  I thought it's high time that I also share my story, in the hope that it could inspire others as well.

My husband and I have been married for almost 13 years (he's 42 and I'm 39), and we have been trying to conceive ever since. We did a few fertility work-ups during the early years of our marriage but these were limited to the usual regular ones e.g. taking of Chlomid, follicle monitoring, timing contact, etc.

This year, God planted a new hope in our hearts, and we decided to give IVF a try, especially since I'll be turning 40 soon and we don't want to look back someday thinking, "What if...?" We did some consultations with St Lukes CARMI, Dr. Pastorfide and KATO. We eventually settled with KATO because of their body-friendly IVF protocol.

I underwent minimal stimulation and had my egg retrieval back in April. They got 7 eggs from me, 5 of which were mature and the other 2 were in GV stage. Out of the 5 that were fertilized, only 2 reached blastocyst (day 5/6) stage.

I was supposed to have my embryo transfer in May but since Dra. Ong-Jao discovered an endometrial polyp and myoma, I had to undergo hysteroscopic polypectomy and myomectomy first. By June, I had my embryo transfer done by Dr. Mendiola. Both blastocysts were transferred to me (the weaker 1 with assisted hatching). Unfortunately, however, the embryos did not implant. I was really sad. Even if we went into this with an open mind knowing na our dream of having a baby may or may not happen, masakit pa rin pala kapag nag BFN. But the good thing is, since we've been praying a lot, mabilis kaming naka move on ni hubby because God gave us the strength to do so.

We were planning to go for another IVF cycle right away, but during my last check up, progesterone level was still high from all the meds I had to take post transfer. Di pa raw nakarecover ang body ko, so the doctor suggested to wait for my next period na lang.

While waiting, an old friend (who also had a hard time getting pregnant before but is now a mom to a beautiful 12 year old daughter) got in touch with me and suggested that I check out info on reproductive immunology and consult an immunologist first before doing another IVF cycle. After doing some research,  I am now convinced that this is the way to go, kasi useless lang to pursue IVF if may issues pala sa immune system. This was not suggested to me by KATO though.

Anyway, to cut the story short, I went to see an immunologist recently and had my blood tests today. I should know the results by next week if may immunology problem nga ako. Hopefully wala. Those of you who had a similar problem, may I know sino ang immunologist nyo and how much more or less ang cost ng treatment?

Welcome @chicmunk. Please feel free to post here and update us on your journey. We understand what you are going through. Your friend is right, please be tested for immune issues before doing another IVF. You might need additional treatment or medication. Most of the ladies here Go to Manila Endocrine Laboratory. Please share your results. Don't forget to always take your vitamins and eat healthy for you and husband's egg&sperm quality. And yes, we will all have a success story soon!

Hi! Im new here. I've been reading the thread almost everyday.

Im 31 and my husband is 42. He has 2 kids with his first wife. In 2004, i had an ectopic pregnancy that ruptured my left fallopian tube. We've been TTC for 9 years already and we're losing hope.

I was browsing FB and theres a suggested page which is Kato. I attended the seminar in January of this year and planned to have my consultation but have no time. And finally! On July 18 my CD3, i finally had my appointment. They advised me to have a minimal stimulation since i had an ectopic pregnancy already.

On July 23rd, ill be back for my B-Scope maybe to check how my body reacted to the meds that was given to me.

To be honest, i dont know what to expect with the process in the next few weeks. Im somehow hopeful with all the posts i read but still im nervous.

Going through a process with people who can understand you is the most comforting feeling. Im being positive and i hope everything will be ok.

@chicmunk, actually I'm from another country. Mild pcos ang diagnosis sa akin pero I had so many failed cycles. Akala ko before starting IVF 2, na normal lahat immune testing ko. Yun pala hindi kasama nk cells and kung may HLA DQa match kami ni husband. Super mahal pa naman ng treatments dito. Reproductive Immune issues are still contreversial here. Kaya I wanted to connect with you ladies kasi nga mas open sa Philippines ang doctors sa lahat ng immune issues and LIT treatment is allowed. I'm still waiting yung HLA DQa test result namin. My doctor will add intralipids for my elevated nk cells next IVF. This is our last IVF for now dahil nga mahal dito. I'm hoping it'll work na talaga. Philippines and KATO are part of my back up plan pero sana hindi na umabot sa ganoon.
