We were expecting 140 heads for our wedding but only 120 showed up. While some were gracious enough to inform us the night before the wedding that they can't make it, the others who confirmed but didn't come were "dedma". I felt that it was so impolite of them to do that! And for that markado na rin sila sa akin hahahaha....

sis lots-o, that's sad  :( I hope your mom changes her mind pa. Your hubby is right though; it's your day. So, if she doesn't show up, just let it go and enjoy your wedding. :)

OMG, Sis Belle! Dahil sayo I consulted my guestlist because of your accurate count. I need to get my stats as well. :D Its been two weeks and my husband and I assumed that we just ended with our 157 pax as expected. :D

We initially planned for 170 adults but our coordinator advised us to just reserve 150 with K By Cunanan since it's easier to add. We started our save the dates 3 months before the wedding and from the original 170 we officially sent out 160 invites with 10 kids. Funny lang kasi out of our original magic 170 madami nag-decline, etc. So our strat was pag may nag-decline then we will add/invite from our back-ups. All in all we got 71 declines. Kasama na dyan the back-ups who also declined.

My target was 150 plus 10 kids since alam ko na may 20% more or less na fall-outs from the 160 invites we sent. A week before the wedding I was expecting 157 guests. We ended with 144 with 1 gatecrasher na okay lang naman since she's the girlfriend of a cousin. The 13 who declined were mostly relatives and plus ones. Among the 13 there were only 3 guests who did not advised that they are a no-show.

I am at peace with my 144. :D

P.S.
The 71 who declined are "marked people" in my book. Haha! These are mostly relatives from our big clan so I don't really mind. But there are also a bunch of friends from college and former officemates who were not able to go because of work, Christmas Parties (gee, thanks), meetings, etc. Well - medyo dedma ko sila ngayon.

So sis lots-o --- DONT WORRY!!!  8)

Sis Stylus - that's one of the most outrageous things I've heard. Hahaha!

we're still not done with detailing with the caterer. the first stylist assigned to us resigned without informing us, kaya pala hindi na nagrereply, burado pa all her files. for a few weeks, yung AE namin ang nag handle ng styling. so inulit na naman lahat ng details. then ngayon pinapasa nanaman kami sa another stylist. we're having a meeting this weekend. sana maayos na.

one of our PS backed out. we had 2 proxies that also backed out. lahat ito friend ni MOG. ayaw lang nila mag proxy pero gusto pa rin pumuta sa wedding. we never even met these people! pinagbigyan lang namin si MOG na mag invite ng friends niya tapos ganun. galit na galit si h2b, binawi niya lahat ng invitation nila. ang ending, friend na lang ng mom ko ang magpproxy. kakabigay lang namin nung tela, ipaparush pa namin tuloy ngayon yung gown niya.

my aunt complained bakit daw walang accommodation for families from out of town. she posted this on our family's facebook group. hindi ko alam kung anong gusto niyang patunayan. wala namang ibang nagccomplain kundi siya. sobrang galit ng dad ko, he told her not to come to the wedding na! ang ending, nag usap yung  other families coming from out of town para sila ang magtulungan sa accommodation and transpo. kaloka si tita.

MOG went to our ento gown supplier's shop to fit her gown, she came all the way from valenzuela to bgc for the fitting. then surprise, surprise, hindi pa pala nagagawa ang gown nya! ang nasa contract namin is dapat last week of Nov ready na for fitting, but i let that go kasi i understand na busy talaga pag peak season. pero my gulay, sobrang nakakahiya kay future mother in law. akala niya hindi ako nagffollowup kaya hindi nagawa ang gown niya. our supplier apologized and promised to finish the gown in a week. we're scheduled for fitting this weekend. sana maayos na rin.

sorry napahaba kwento. dito ko na lang nalalabas lahat ng problem namin. less than 4 weeks to go!!

bzbee, I thought it was sweet of your dad to defend you. Grabe naman yung tita mo ha, diva attitude?

I do think it's unacceptable for your supplier to be delayed with your MIL's gown with only 4 weeks to go! That's a breach in the contract and you should clearly point that out. >:(

Mabuti na lang your Dad did this, kasi ibang parents won't help their children meaning pababayaan na lang and just be civil na naman ang drama kahit na negative vibes na on wedding. Buti na lang your are lucky na you have a Dad na understanding. Your Aunt deserves it, Kung ako lang I won't tolerate her too.

thanks for pointing this out mga sis! true, sobrang na-appreciate ko ang support ng family ko during this time, especially my dad, im a daddy's girl kasi so he's always been so protective. :) pero i always try to calm him down, masyado kasi siyang affected and ayoko naman mag cause ng hidwaan sa family just because of our wedding. sinasabi ko na lang im still thankful kasi out of all our relatives, isang tita lang ang naging problema namin.

sa gown ni MIL, i dont want to turn into a bridezilla just yet. im still giving our supplier one last chance to do it right. if hindi pa rin naayos within the deadline i gave her, hay nako, all hell will break loose! lol

Sis tubby, and you know what, even without consulting my list, i know exactly who the "no show" guests are. Matindi pa, when we ask them why they weren't there, NR!! And speaking of the gatecrashers, i saw them right in front of church's gate {literal na gate crasher} while i was waiting inside the bridal car. Haha!

^Are you gate crashers talagang pumunta na lang as in kapal mukha levels or are they plus ones? :) Before the wedding hindi ko alam dati if kanino ako mas magagalit: sa gate crasher o sa mga no shows. I realized after the wedding sa mga no shows/no RSVPs talaga ako naiinis. I could've replaced them with other people. Sa mga gate crashers naman at least they want to be at the wedding. Haha.

^Haha medyo guilty ako dyan ah. Mag ggatecrash ako sa isang wedding sa church namin this month e! Pero sa church lang di naman ako pupunta sa reception nila. I just want to know pano ang wedding sa Christian church. Never pa kasi ako naka-attend at I don't know what to expect.

Sis meixin, as long as you adhere to the couple's requested attire, or if there's a way to let them know that you just wanted to witness a Christian wedding, maybe they'd understand. Yung gatecrashers namin kasi, di naman nagsabi na pupunta talaga {they insisted at the reception registration area na nag rsvp daw sila e hindi naman, walang proof}, and yes, they went to the reception. sila lang ang walang place card doon kaya inagawan pa ng seats yung relatives ko. worse pa they didn't even follow the dress code eh all our guests who attended are wearing long gown and formal suits. Pati plus ones nga ng guests naka attire eh. Sorry ha if i can't move on. What they did kasi was very disrespectful.

^that's why i wouldn't forget what they did haha. It's totally fine if we were just informed, baka hinabol ko pa names nila sa last minute place cards na ginawa ko. the 3 gatecrashers on my side ayaw na nga daw maupo according to my mum pero ang ninong ko daw nagpilit {kase sya ang may bitbit ng 2daughters plus bf ng daughter} imagine nalang ha pati bf ng daughter sinama! my hubby naman reprimanded his niece na pati bf nandoon eh he wasn't even introduced to us ever.  basta yun, the unforgivable story of the 4 gatecrashers. haha!

My first ever complain. Someone from grooms family invited some people to sing at our reception without my go-signal. Sad, my wedding is this month na. Everything is all set.Now i need to accommodate them. compromise kami.

I gave strict orders to our coordinator. not on the list, no entry. If they think Im kidding, I told them to approach me the next day and confirm with me personally that they cannot go in. My guest list is ballooning to 330. only 6-8 people declined. I persisted and making each and everyone of them RSVP.

^Kailan ka na inform na there will be people to sing? Did your h2b informed you right away? I honestly find that so disrespectful of not waiting for your go signal. To think 2 kayong celebrant dito it is just that I don't like the idea na kapag may family na nakialam parang birthday ng anak niya yung icelebrate. I like the idea of your strict orders. Ako pa man din ayoko rin talaga yung hindi ako sineseryoso pagdating sa planning.

I just found out today. The hurt is there. Wedding is in 2 weeks, I didn't hire a singer coz 1. i don't like singing while people are trying to chat 2. I was trying to save the 4-5k for hiring a singer. Now, we pay for 2 of their food thats worth around 8k.

Will still count my blessings but i got quite mad. I am very a chill bride overall but got affected and needed to refocus afterwards. Something happened yesterday, ( ike 10x worst than this incident but can't disclose sa GT since its that sensitive) so I was not in the mood for anymore crap.
