Problems you encounter while preparing for your wedding (Part 7)

4 months to go!
I have issues with our guest we have planned initially to only have 130 guest. Actually 100 but nagpasobra kami to 150 to reach 130. Out of the 150 we now have 125 confirmed guest and  kahit weekeday yung the 25 baka magconfirm pa. Maybe my estimate of 140 guest+ 10 kids total is 150. Our venue is only for 130 the most comfortable seat. But due to the confirmed guest we may need to change venue. Anyway my venue is splendido. We really wanted to have intimate wedding lang. Kaso heard here in GT na magbuffer.  Sobrang dumami naman ang buffer. Anybody who tried tent on the parque al lago? One issue is madilim talaga dun sa place another is additional cost of course. But place of the venue is very cheap nagpamahal lang ata sa splendido is their food.

^lots-0, okay pa yan sis.. expect from 1 week until the day before the wedding, when you do your final rounds of rsvp, guests will start to decline especially for weekday weddings. yan ang numero unong sakit sa ulo-- guests say yes pag matagal pa then pag malapit na dun sila biglang NO. we booked for 232 guests and on the day, 203 {adult count}and roughly 17 kids yata ang dumating {instead of the originally booked na 10} . We had a Tuesday wedding btw. 4 out of 203 adults gatecrashers pa. haha! anyway, ubos naman ang food so that's okay na rin.

^agree with sis belle. from 150 to 125 na nag yes 94 lang dumating sakin. bayad yung 150pax ko so na covered nalang yung suppliers meal.

We just called our church to inquire for the schedule of pre cana seminar and canonical interview because our wedding is on feb 21 na. Biglang sabi ng church secretary na kaka receive lang daw nila ng church schedule at lent season na daw pala yun. Pwede daw ba namin i-move ang wedding ng feb 20?!? Hehe. Kung kaming 2 lang ni h2b pwede pa. Kaso syempre lahat ng suppliers pati venue booked ng feb 21. Most of the relatives coming from the province and abroad feb 20 pa dadating. Haist. Stress.

^^ as per my coord, yan nga daw ang i-stress samin pag malapit na ang big day, GUEST LIST! Dahil madaming pasaway na guests. Tsktsk.

^ sis stylus, grabe, does they even understand ano yung sinasabi nila? Move ng date kung kelan more than a month nalang? Pag ganyan, parang medyo impossible na e, I think? Baka naman na-overlook nila yung schedule. Just stick with the original plan, mag-matigas kayo if possible. Hahaha! Tingin ko they can adjust naman without adjusting the wedding date itself.

^ wow, sis stylus! the secretary seems a bit unreasonable - how on earth can you ask a couple to move their wedding date with just over a month to go. i agree with sis pogi02, you stick to your plan. you guys have already booked the church on this date long before and they can't just make you change the date.

^^ sis lots-o, sis belle_v2g is right, a lot of people will decline in the days leading up to the wedding, some people will even just not show up. i'm kind of bummed by my friends who did not show up on my wedding - even though they rsvp-ed and they even just lived in my really small hometown. i admit that it hurt a bit but when i reflected on it, it also gave me a greater appreciation for our friends and relatives who travelled great distances just to celebrate with us. for us, we didn't have gate crashers, but out of 150 confirmed guests, only 130 showed up. still, it was a great celebration and all the food was eaten. every single individual cake on the table was also eaten or taken home

^true. Si h2b nakipag usap eh. Bilis pa naman tumaas boses nun. Narinig ko na lang sabi nya "di na pwede nabigay na lahat ng invitations" hehe. Sabi ng secretary titingnan daw kung ano magagawang paraan. Hay. Kaya post ako kagad dito to calm down. Pero di ko maimagine na hindi feb 21 ang wedding ko! Naka set na lahat sa isip ko na sunday yun. Lahat walang pasok. Pati hotel namin syempre areglado na feb 20 check in. :-)

^grabe naman yun sis haha. yung pre cana kung di nila magawan ng sched pwede mag san agustin nalang kayo tapos yung canon interview nalang problemahin nila. saglit lang naman interview di tatagal ng 1 hour.

^may sched na pre cana sis. Next tuesday. Canonical interview next sunday. Pero yung wedding namin pwede daw ba iadvance ng 1 day. Haha

^ok lang sila? hahaha! ano ba yun! kung ako yun baka nasabi ko ok lang basta kayo magbabayad ng lahat ng nagastos namin kasi nakaset na yun madami changes kahit 1 day haha

sis imprincessfiona 10 kids are below 6 and below. pag ganun ba considered kids meal na?

I agree with sis pogi02 kelangan firm ka especially malapit na wedding. Kami din we are supposed to get married 2015 but we moved to 2016 due to some issue from weekend na december naging april weekday. We just paid some penalties to some suppliers. Yun din pala some they charge postponement fee you need to consider din yun. i can feel your stress sis. Grabe naman secretary yan kami din mag san augustin na kasi mabilis nga daw dun.

^omg, did they even consider how inconvenient the request is? asking the couple to change date instead of thinking of other possible solution to solve the problem. no good. 

ah yes, sis 120515, i still can remember the listed guests who did not show up on the day and i know exactly who the gatecrashers were.

Ayun na nga. Saka march 20 kami una nagpasched nung june. Di daw pwede kasi holyweek na. March 13 na lang daw. Sunday before march 20. Ginawa na lang naming feb 21. Ngayon lent season na daw yun. Pupuntahan ko later para kunin marriage banns. Discuss ko na rin yung issue sa date.

Tama lang naman sis stylus na magtaas ng boses yung H2B mo. Kung ako siguro nasa shoes mo, malamang na-bridezilla ako ng wala sa oras. Nakuuu! Hahaha! Hindi pwedeng kayo yung mag-adjust sa fault/overlooking nila, dapat sila ang gumawa ng paraan. Nakakaloka yan sis!

Sis imprincessfiona meron sa amin kids menu. Bawal kasi outside food ok lang naman 350 yung kids menu nung sa amin. 7-12 pala yung range nilafor the kids menu. below 6 is free na.

hahaha. Oo nga talagang susubaybayan ko din yan. Ako i have problems with my mom, may other family na kasi siya eh so she might not attend my wedding.May dad naman nasa US he just got his greencard so hindi talaga siya makakauwi valid reason naman nataon lang din.  Only my brother will be there for me. I invited my mom so many times pero i got rejected so many times ayoko nalang umasa. Ako one invite lang pagayaw di wag pero surprisingly most of my good friends will be there only those people i want to see on my wedding yung ininvite namin. Ayoko na stressin yung sarili ko sa part na yun anyway sabi ni hubby its our day.
