^I'm leaving for Bangkok next week myself. Looking forward to another food trip and some shopping. Magdadala na lang ako ng mosquito repellent as an added precaution.

going back to bangkok this Sunday, my third time  

kaso itong mga kasama ko gusto na mag back out.  we got our package from Shadow travel.  we will be staying in Baiyoke Sky (my second time).  ang reason nitong mga kasama ko eh because of the recent bombings in the north of thailand.  tapos andyan ang rason na may zika virus na daw dun.  napiipikon na ako kasi ang dami daming rason na nakikita para ipa cancel ang trip.  kako it's a package tour, i don't think it would be easy to have it rebooked at change destination pa ha.

tama ba na ipa cancel na lang ang byahe namin?  nagbitiw na nga ako ng salita sa isa sa kanila na kung ayaw nila eh maski ako mag isa bya byahe papuntang bangkok 

Sis, wag mo na ipacancel. Sayang naman. Solo travel ka na lang. Safe naman dun. Basta, bayad nila ang portion nila.

Next month will be our BKK family tour. Sa Shadows din ako nagpabook para hassle free.

^ nakita ko nga sis madami sa bangkok na airbnb... Pero tignan mo fine print sis a, minsan yun price pang certain number of ax lang, then may mga cleaning fee, etc

Kami sa January still mag hotel, gusto ng mga kasama ko may food. He he. Pero if ever tipid namin mga 6k Sana for 5 nights. Oh well

 - ok naman i-hand carry. Wala naMan Kasi nagchecheck dito before ka pumasok ng Pinas unlike other countries. Nag-hand carry kame ng lanzones :-)

Kakauwi lang namin from Thailand. Super enjoy kame sa Elephant bath! Careful na lang mga sisses if magpapaalit kayo sa mga Foreign exhange, be sure na bilangin and i-compute nyo yung pera nyo before umalis.

Sa baiyoke suite kame nag-stay. 1st 2 days namin, sa tour with tong kame nagpapabook. Then na-try namin yung sa baba ng hotel nag papa-service din and way cheaper. 1,500 baht lang papuntang Samphran Elephant Zoo/Rose Garden which is 2 hours from Hotel ha. Sya na din kinuha namin papuntang floating market naman. Kay tong kasi 4k baht. Difference lang is Innova lang sasakyan nya kay tong naman is Van na malaki pero kung kasya naman kayo sa Innova di ba. 7 pax kasya sa Innova and sa kanya daw yung sasakyan kay mura.

May mura palang lanzones sa train market kung pupunta kayo dun, 3kilos for 70Baht nakabili ako.
Next sa pratunam night market mura din, pinakamura yung 25baht per kilo.

^I got to check-in 7 kilos longkong plus bags and boxes of tamarind and another 3 kilos longkong sa carry on.  Cheapest we bought the longkong for was 50tbh, expensive naman at Otokor market at 160tbh. Missing all the sweet fruits there!

^when did you buy the lanzones? Bakit ang mahal ng turing sa yo? I was just at Or Tor Kor last weekend and I got ours at THB60. Sayang nga kasi yung food market beside Novotel Suvarnabhumi was selling at THB40 lang. Wanted to take home a lot but madaling naubos when I went back for lunch.

May mga sis ba tayo sa Bangkok ngayon? Kamusta ang mourning period? Punta kami dun sa November 3. Nabasa ko lang sa google, open na naman daw yun mga temple, kaso sarado daw mga bar at club? Plano pa naman namin magparty.

^Just came back a couple of days ago, understandably the Thais are still in mourning. Most of them are also in mourning clothes (black, white or dark colors). The pipe in music at their trains, malls and other public areas are all solemn. The government has decreed a one-year mourning period. Yung mga entertainment places/events i.e. bars, clubs, concerts to observe a one-month toned down activity but most of them nagsarado na lang. So, with the Thais losing their much-loved and popular king don't expect to party anytime soon. Mag-shopping na lang kayo.

may announcement that we can only wear black, white, gray.
if you will wear other colors, be sure it's muted. nothing too bright or loud.
saka pag muted colors usually naglalagay ng black ribbon.

generally, ok naman na sa mga malls and touristy places. pero mapapansin pa din na malungkot yun mood.

Amazing naman ang pagmamahal nila sa hari, mas interesado tuloy ako sa culture nila.
Magpapa-massage at shopping na lang kami aside sa temple visits. Sa Cambodia na lang kami magpa-party.

Hopefully I'll be back end of November for some Christmas shopping. I am hoping there will be a lot of good deals. Wag din sana masyado mag-uulan.

Ang saya pala talaga ng food trip sa Bangkok! Buhay na ako sa food trip lang. Nag-try din kami ng food trip sa Khaosan Road, yun mga exotic like silk worms, grasshoppers, ok naman. Ang saya lang.

Nataon din pala na may free food around Grand Palace nun nagpunta kami. Para daw sa mourners. Since ang babait nila, pati mga foreigners inaabutan. Nakakatuwa lang kasi maayos sila sa pila, walang kalat, sana ganto din sa Pilipinas.

Anyway, babalik ako dito for sure!

mga sissies, since may long layover (6 hours) ako sa Suvarnabhumi Airport going to Philippines, pwede kayang lumabas ng airport and mag-roam around? need pa po ba ng visa for that short term tour? thanx in advance po sa mga sasagot.
