Which is better? PLAYEN OR CRIB

hello mga mommies I want to prepare nursery room for our baby Nagddalawang isip pa ako kung anong bbilhin ko.. Crib or playpen? any suggestions? thanks in advance!

Im due next month , playpen un binili ko kase magagamit till toddler at may 2nd layer kase for my newborn.yun crib kase nag alangan si hubby baka raw masuot ni baby un kamay o paa nya mabalian pa.

I bought playpen din 5200 sya less 10% kasi sale sya sa landmark nung binili ko.. Ashworthy yung brand.. Kasi mas mura sya.. Pag crib need mo pa mag buy ng may mattress..

Tsaka sabi nung isang sis ko.. Katakot ang crib pag tumatayo na ang baby kasi baka mauntog yung ulo or yung teeth nya... Pati raw ako iiyak!!

Both. playpen and crib both serves different purpose. Both din may pros and cons.

Playpen pros
- all in one, may changing pad, infant sleeper, and can be used as playpen
- soft din since tela sya pag bigger baby na
- pwede ibenta after but resale value will be much lower.
Cons
- most of the time not sturdy. Napupunit yung tela pag hindi na kaya weight ni baby, pwede lumusot paa nya sa mga gilid pag nag lalaro, the sleeper is light and tela also which is not advisable BUT you can use a sturdy foam or mattress

Crib pros
- sturdy, long time use, high resale value (if u got good ones), low maintenance, level adjustable
-can be converted to toddler beds
Cons
- most of the time expensive if you get in malls and not at your local karpintero
- need to buy other accessories like bumperpads
- need to buy think mattress that is infant safe (4 inches thick is advisable must not be too soft that the baby is not well supported)



If you can get both that will be great since iba yung purpose nila both naman magagamit mo in due time. Tho for me I got a big wooden harlow crib from baby company. I got for sale and it can be converted to toddler bed and can be used until baby is 3 years old. It is originally priced at 11,999 and got it for 5,500 bec of mom card holder sale and mall sale. Good buy actually. then bought a uratex mattress 4" think water and oil proof, hypoallergenic and infant safe at 1,800 originally priced at 2,400.

for our daughter's nursery, she has a crib and sa labas yung playpen. The latter, we only used when she was younger than a year. Her crib can be converted to a toddler bed and then a day bed so we splurged kasi nga she can use it naman for a looongg time.

I bought 2 cribs for my baby, 1 sa bedroom (2nd flr).. 1 sa sala.  Sa Tambunting ko binili and both are foldable and pwedeng i-adjust ang height ng higaan.  Gawin ko na lang playpen pag medyo lumaki na si baby with decors and all

Got both.

Graco playpen sa sala, bought the one with reversible bassinet/changing pad. Gamit na gamit nung newborn sya. Niligpit na namin nung around 9mos si baby kasi ayaw na magpaiwan sa playpen nung nag-start na sya mag-walk-walk. We put rubber mats na lang sa floor, then harang yung mga sofa so naging playpen na nya buong sala, mas malawak naiikutan nya.

Wooden crib naman sa bedroom namin. Yung nabababa/natataas ang 1 side. Nasa tabi ng bed namin. Nung baby sya, dun namin nilalapag pag natutulog na sa gabi, then kinukuha na lang to breastfeed. 2 levels din. Nung tumatayo na, binaba na namin sa lowest level then sakto ka-level na sya ng mattress namin so parang toddler bed na, extension ng adult bed. Mag-14mos na sya now, palipat-lipat lang sya from the crib to gitna namin ni hubby, to crib - depends sa mood nya. Side-lying lang kami when breastfeeding during the night. Very convenient.
