Having Foreigner husband but settling here in the Philippines

I hope I am in the right thread.

I am married to a foreigner and he wants to settle here in the Philippines, I live a good life here that is why my hubby doesn't like to take it away from me hence the need to survive for him here is big..

Questions:
1. How can he find work here? is it even possible?
2. Is there a need to file "visa" for him to stay here?
3. If we start a business is it better to have it under my name only or us together?

1) yes, it is possible to find work (siyempre it will all boil down sa eligibility ni hubby). if he has a resident visa, he can apply as a "local". That was the case for my husband. Before we met and eventually got married, he had a working visa sponsored by a company here in MNL. Months after getting married, we filed for his resident visa. His working visa then was due for renewal so we might as well fix his RV. Plus, if we didnt fix his RV, in the future if he wants to find a better job, it is harder to find a local company willing to go thru the process (and expenses) of getting a foreigner a working visa. Maraming legalities involved like the company will have to justify the need to hire a foreigner over a local. Having an RV allowed my husband to be hired as a local, which eventually allowed him to get SSS, pag-ibig, philhealth. Yun lang nga, as a local hire, expect the salary will be in local standards. Suwerte if one can get a full expat benefit.

2) yes of course. After your husband's tourist visa expires (which is normally the initial visa a foreigner gets upon entry in the country), you must extend it or file for another type of visa. Since he is married to a Filipina, he can file for a resident visa. You can check the Bureau of Immigration website for the process and the requirements. Hindi naman ganun katagal yung process, madami lang official documents and affidavits needed. And you'll have to appear before a commissioner of the immigration for an interview to prove that your marriage is a valid marriage and not just a marriage of convenience. there are lot cases daw that the spouse doesn't even know the real name or the birthday of the other party or even the names of their in-laws. When you are granted a probationary/temporary visa, you can eventually apply for a permanent one after x-years but this will depend on the bilateral agreement between the Philippines and your husband's home country. My husband's home country does not have a reciprocity agreement with the Philippine government with regards to permanent residency status so we have to renew his temporary resident visa every x-years. Aside from the permanent visa, you'll also have to file the ACR Annual Report yearly. I suggest you seek the help of a lawyer who specializes in immigration so he can assist you, whether thru the whole process or at least guide you on the documents needed. That's what we did during our initial filing, a lawyer guided us on the process and the drafting of the affidavits but we did all the footwork with Immigration. Then for the succeeding renewals, we did it by ourselves. The people from Immigration are helpful naman and there's a help desk at their office in Intramuros

So is it much better to enter Philippines together rather than him alone?

Plan kasi namen na magkita nalang sa hongkong or somewhere tapos sabay na umuwi, pero hindi ko pa carry ang surname nya sa passport ko pero may NSO marriage certificate na kame. Magpapakasal din kame sa church by March 2016 and tentative na uwi nya ay December 2015, ok na kaya na mag-apply ng RV pagkadating nya dito? 

and ano yung ACR??

I dont think it will matter if he comes here alone or with you. But to be sure, consult a lawyer this early or inquire with immigration. We have different circumstances kasi. And we initially applied back 2007 and there were a lot changes since then. Also, at least you can also prepare the documents. Your husband will need to prepare some documents and affidavits too coming from his home country.

ACR is alien certificate of registration. to correct my earlier statement...this is not renewed yearly. what needs to be done on a yearly basis is the Annual report.

^its okay na ako na muna magtanong sa immigration? from the link that you shared kaya asikasuhn without Attorney's assistance, bale I asked nadin kasi and sabe "yes we do that sa office" which ofcourse means eh extra pay din sa kanila diba?

In my previous post, I mentioned that there is a help desk in Immigration where you can ask re the process. Wala kasi nyan during the time when we first filed for the TRV (years before that guy in the link I shared with you). So we decided to ask help from the same lawyer who handled the working visa of my husband. we only asked him for a briefing on the general guidelines then asked a different lawyer help with the drafting of the affidavits. The actual filing in immigration, my husband and I did it without the lawyer's help.

Hello TS better sabay kayo ni hubby mo bunalik sa Pinas para makakuha sya ng one year visa since he is married to a Filipino citizen.Dalhin mo lang MC nyo.
at make sure yan ang ma issue  ng immig personnel ..
kapag hindI kayo magkasama umuwi ang ma issue lang sa husband.mo ay iyong regular 21-day  (or 1 month na ba ngayon?)

Hello TS hindi ako sure. May ibang tawag sa program na yan hindi ko lang matandaan. .
Ang maganda lang kase is makaka tipid kayo sa filing ng extension.
Husband ko (bf ko pa lang noon)  nag file ng extension  sa main office. Ang hassle sa biyahe etc.
BTW in case na hindi ka pa aware may mga satellite office ang immigration. Like sa case namin noon sa Manila kame nagpupunta until nalaman namin meron pala sa Robinson's Damarinas which is malapti lang sa amin. Since then doon na kame nagpapa extend..
so try to check maybe sa immig website kung may malapit sa area mo sa Pinas..
from where ang husband mo sis?
