sis dolphine I just read it in Martha Stewart's website and also other sites about wedding invites. Those sites strongly suggest against including registry cards in the invitation.  But what we did na lang is included our wedding website in the invitation where they will find information on wedding registries, dress code and hotel accommodations.

me too, sis caleeice I don't find anything wrong with it either :) but we just decided to err on the safe side hehe kase baka may masabi pa ang mga kamag anakan ;D

sis rightback ill PM you the sites para you can view them.

you're welcome sis reese17 although just a disclaimer, I don't have any feedback for SM registry kase we have not signed up for SM hehe ;D

I also read somewhere that it's inappropriate to write on your invitation regarding monetary gifts being preferred than the usual gifts received during weddings. But we won't follow it😉

The reason behind it being unethical daw is you are already presuming that your guest will give gifts. But lahat naman nagbibigay ng gift diba? So might as well receive what you want. Monetary or in kind. I prefer both. Hahaha!

Thanks sisses for the inputs, looks like I wont be dealing with SM as their policy sucks hehe.
In my case we also need very minimal stuff since we'll be moving into a fully furnished condo already so i am thinking just new beddings, basic tableware, towels. But we do like to cook and I think Rustan's will have more appliances suited to our liking... hello KitchenAid! hehe :)

We visited Rustan's this weekend just to look around.. i think the only thing we'll be needing is beddings nga rin. Because our condo is already fully furnished parang hindi sulit for us to do a registry. Hay! Fiance is also more willing to pick out the beddings himself that we dont really need the registry :(

For me confusing also to have several registries indicated in the envelope plus discouraging din SM's policy so it's Rustan's or nothing. I dont want to be picking up stuff after the wedding.

I am torn now what to do--if we put a registry card in the invite, it's going to encourage people to buy us gifts from there (which we dont really need in the first place but were forced to pick). If we dont naman, they might end up giving multiple gifts of the same item like caleeice cited! And many say it's not right to state a cash gift preference... what to do?!

^ Hi sis,

For the registry, you can just put in a very short list. That way, once the list is "used up", they'll just give you money. Or if they end up buying a different one at Rustan's, you can exchange it to something else that you like :)

^That's what we did. We had a really short list for our registry just because we wanted to avoid getting identical items or things that we don't need or won't even use because sayang eh! Note than even though the list was a short one, we still didn't get everything. Most of the gifts we received were still monetary ones. We also got a few items that are not from the registry. Pinamigay lang namin ang iba because we can't/won't be using them so sayang naman. Hope that helps sparklingjewel :)

Is it possible to have different sets of registries? Iniisip ko kasi kung pwede mag group depending sa price eh para syempre yung mas mahal na mga appliances pwede sa sponsors then yung low to mid range sa other guests.

Hi dolphine and caleeice thank you for the advice. Hmm so if short lang yung list and it all gets bought already the premise is that the guest will just give us money OR choose something from the shop that wasnt in our list? So hindi parin pala sya fail-proof hehe kasi baka may same item (not necessarily same brand) in the registry :s

Also won't it be a disappointment that the guests made the trip there only to not end up getting to buy anything kasi ubos na? But i guess this is the best option if we want to minimize the material gifts that we dont really need but are dyahe to ask for cash.

Hi marchbridetobe Actually naisip ko din yan.. so as to have more locations that are more convenient for guests to go to. Rustans kasi 2 locations lang diba? Pero parang overkill na dalawa. Paano icocommunicate (2 inserts sa invite--over!)? If via word of mouth naman confusing as people will say diff things.

Just wanted to share... Kami ni h2b are based overseas and almost all our relatives and friends were asking kung anong preferred gift. So my coordinator suggested it would be helpful to state the wedsite sa invites. But we made it small font lang to be on the safe side coz people might think na required magbigay. But when my relatives and friends saw it comment nila is sana linakihan daw yng font. So it made me realize talaga na people accepted na talaga yng registry and at least may idea sila what to give. No hassle. :)

Hi sis,

Sa Rustan's, anything that is not on your list, you can exchange it to any other item or GC :)

As weird as it may sound, I have 4 registries :) Two of them, is written on the RSVP card, two of them have their own announcement cards :)

As to why I have 4, the only reason is that, I have special things that I saw on those stores. :)

It doesn't mean na I choose a lot of items too. For each store, siguro mga 5 items lang hehe :)

^Ah i see thanks dolphine! Just to avoid duplicates in material gifts siguro we will sign up with at least one registry. Thinking of not getting Rustan's though since parang everything there is expensive even for items we dont really need to have.. We want guests to have more choices of items rather than a few expensive ones. Can anyone provide a list of registries as options and their policies? :) I'll start.

- Rustans (2 branches, Can exchange items not in list; free delivery regardles of purchase point)
- SM (Many branches, Only delivers items bought in the same branch)
- Crate & Barrel (Free delivery of furniture ONLY, other items have to be brought home by guest)
- Dimensione/ Studio Dimensione
- Make Room
- Gourdo's
- Sleepcare (Many branches)
- Alessi (meron ba sila? Love the dining stuff!)
- H&M Home
- Pottery Barn
- West Elm

Hello!

Potterbarn and West Elm - very similar to Rustans as they are under SSI too.

Crate&Barrel - similar to SM :)

In terms of choosing a Registry, it would depend what kind of items you'd want to have. Of course, there's Rustan's but there are other stores too like Make Room, Muji, etc.

Hi Sisses! I am a 2018 bride and I wonder if bridal registry still works. Pinapansin pa ba ito ng guests nyo? And if so, what is the best bridal registry service, based on your experience do you recommend?

Aside from Knots and Pans, are there any other online wedding registries?

Hi girls,

I have some questions about wedding registries here. I'm just curious about the etiquette and the choices you have.

Like how much is the appropriate maximum price of an item I should register?
What items should I register? Which would you prefer? Home items, personal items(like stuff we want to buy for ourselves?) instead of stuff we need at home. Kasi it's a gift right? I'm a bit torn with this one. Haha
