We will get ours sa Taguig City Hall. Here is the not so stress requirements nila

-both birth certificates
-both cedula
-both valid IDs
-and a family planning seminar certificate that you’ll be getting from the health office there (Tuesday and Thursday)

Natawa pa ako when we tried to get the family planning Cert on the same day. Yung Health officer kilala ni H2b. tinanong lang ako kung buntis ako. Sabi ko hindi. Sabay Sabi ni htb, "naku mam red alert nga ngayon!". Natawa sila dun sa center. hehe.

How about your Baptismal and Confirmation Certificate... Did you get original from the parish where you were baptist and confirmed? Because Sabi kailangan "for marriage purpose only"

^Yes sis! may nakalagay na "for wedding purposes only". Tapos "6 months validity from date issued".

Shocks I am already within the 6-months-to-go and just realized that we can already start requesting documents! Tama ba, these are the only ones I can request as of now given that we are still more than 5 months but less than 6 months to go?

- Original Birth certificates
- Original Baptismal certificates with notation "For Marriage Purposes only"
- Original Confirmation certificates with notation "For Marriage Purposes only"
- CENOMAR

And then once we have these we apply naman for marriage license once 4 months to go nalang?

^korek sis! Pre cana / discovery weekend is only valid for 6 months too! Kaya pwde na kayong umattend nun. Wala naman requirement to attend that. pre canonical interview din you can do na. In our church, pwde na siya gawin 6 months before the wedding.

May bumabagsak pala sa pre canonical interview. Grounds are : walang work ang husband. ( how are you going to support a family nga naman if wala kang work) , below 25 years old need one parent to go during the interview. Another ground is buntis. Ayaw ng simbahan na magpapakasal dahil buntis - unless matagal na ang relationship. May say din pala sila kung one year palang ang relationship then nabuntis agad ang girl. If pasado sa interview, the priest will sign in front of you at ibibigay sa inyo ang marriage banns - to be posted 3 consecutive sundays on 2 parishes.. One sa parish ni bride, one sa parish ni groom. 

Share ko lang, yung kasabay namin nag pre-cana eh buntis yung girl, kaya medyo may mga sermon sa group namin regarding pre marital sex. hehe. 

Enjoy super magcomplete ng requirements, ours was really last minute. My flight was 6pm paalis ng pinas. 9am eh nasa baranggay kami claiming our ID, then run sa munisipyo to apply. We finished everything at 1145 ng tanghali. It was the nicest feeling i ever feel.. Literal na tinik na nabunot. Ahahaha.  i was thinking pa na kung hindi kami makakaapply eh i have to rebook para maasikaso siya sa hapon. thank God munisipyo is open non at walang bagyo! So ngayon, awaiting nalang kami ng release!! Happy lang!!

We actually already completed our pre-cana seminar at 6.5 months to go hehe pwede na sabi nung parish namin. Nakakakaba yung canonical interview pero sana no grounds not to approve us na hehe matagal na naman kami and i am not pregnant lol

Does anyone know how to request baptismal and confirmation certs from MTQ? Usually ba drop by talaga sa church mo to get them walang online hehe

^Nun nga lang namin nalaman na may hindi nakakapasa sa interview.

Usually sis give them a call and ask them to prepare ahead para pag pumunta ka, pirmado na siya at magbabayad ka nalang. I assume all parishes naman have records by year. Kay fiance kasi tumawag lang mom niya then pick up the next tuesday, (kasi monday off ang priests) then pagpunta dun eh pay na and go. Mine naman was my mama went 9am sa church and asked her to come back at 3pm kasi wala yung pari na pipirma. Pwde raw tumawag sa umaga then pickup sa hapon. Maybe sis you can ask your siblings to claim? Hehe.

Yikes! We'll attend in August this year. For next year wedding pa.
Sabi kasi sa church unahin daw. Siguro depende sa parish.

Depende sa parish nga siguro sis. Kasi dun sa list na binigay sa amin, may nakalagay na "pre cana/ discovery weekend / catholic marriage encounter , valid for 6 months.

msdianne, my parish also told us the sooner the better so we attended pre-cana already kahit more than 6 months pa. So ok lang yan I hope the cuty hall doesnt have that requirement na dapat 6 months before if the church already said ok to do early hehe

I guess different requirements for church and municipality just make sure to check so less hassle.

Hehe yun nalang pala sis msdianne! Iclear mo lang ano ba yung sabi ng parish ninyo. 
Initially nga nagtaka kami bakit need ng munisipyo ng original copy ng Pre cana. E hindi naman lahat ng nag aaply ng marriage license eh church wedding. We submit nalang a scanned copy. D naman nila napansin. Hehe.

omg is this for real sis? scary naman if we fail the canonical interview, 1 year nagprep tapos di naman pala matutuloy ang wedding huhu. looking forward pa naman ako dito. next month na sched namin ng precana and canonical interview. right now, we're in the process of posting banns sa local churches namin for 3 consecutive Sundays. ang mahal pala ha? 300 sa Makati at 600 sa Pasig HAHA.

sis, it will depend on your church ha? cenomar and original/NSO BCs are valid for 6 months:) however, in Paco Chapel naman, they require to secure docs 3 mos before the wedding for baptismal & confirmation cert so di namin sila sinabay kuhain with CENOMAR. better double check with your church's requirements para di masayang effort:)
