have you ever experienced that thing na you finished this four year course yet nerealize mo hindi pala yun [textspeak!] gusto mo na work? dilemma

Maraming ganyan sis.. at marami din naman naging successful sa career na iba sa tinapos nilang profession. I suggest gamitin mo muna ang natapos mo para magkaron ka ng experience. Then kapag may opportunity sa gusto mong field then go ahead. Mas maganda parin yong masaya ka sa ginagawa mo.

With the career I have now, I ended up not using maybe half of the subjects I took in college (mostly math-related).  But I just told myself that it builds character!

Marami nang ganyan. Meron din naman they'd feel they found the right path pero marerealize after a year or two na hindi din pala yun ang gusto. Minsan kasi feeling natin hindi na natin naiaapply whatever it is that we've learned in college pero hindi naman. Minsan nasa perspective lang.

As of the moment, I don't think I hate my work. Kasi very related naman sa natapos ko yung work ko ngayon. But it seems, there's is a problem. Ewan ko ba. Ganyan din ako noon, until now kasi parang lost pa din ako.

Just for perspective sis, I can tell you na hindi ka nag iisa. Marami talagang ganyan especially sa BPO industry, and definitely hindi yan ang factor na magdedecide sa future mo. Mas importante siguro na i-figure out mo kung ano yung gusto mo i-pursue.

make the most of it. find a happy balance, or make a happy memory out of it. When you change jobs, you're still not certain, so it always goes to "how are you gonna live a good life for today, in this job, in this office?" :-)

I like what I studied in college but I was not able to find a job related to it so I worked on something else. I just make the most out of life. The universe placed me where I am for a reason. Ang mahalaga, productive ang bawat araw.

This is so true.. the good thing is atleast narealize mo sis na hindi pala yun yung gusto mo.. this gives you to power to choose to take a different direction.

I finished Computer Engineering mga sis but I'm a call center agent (No means of degrading call center agents). I actually love being an agent. super napa-paractice ko yung pagkamadaldal ko. My urge to speak lol. What I hate right now, is that I'm not happy with the company anymore. I need to find a company that offers career growth and fun environment.

Honestly, halos hindi mo magagamit ang pinag-aralan mo sa real world.  Fate will wash you ashore sa kung ano talaga agn para sayo.  I wasted my chances sa first job ko, pero right now masaya naman ako kung nasaan ako.  I just took several detours along the way.

Your first job after you graduate will rarely be your career. Use it as a means of getting experience in the real world. My first "job" was in hardware and I hated it. I even told myself I'll never be in hardware again. Fast forward to 5 years, I'm in hardware yet again but I love it now.

Sit back and enjoy the ride.

Ang suggestion ko lang is don't worry about it. Explore other options, even if it's not aligned with your college course. Hindi ikaw ang magiging unang malayo sa course nila! One more thing: don't be idle. Even if it means trying out a call center job or trying a work from home gig. You still need to develop your skills and portfolio.

Hate is a strong word. If you realized that you don't like your course, then start finding out what you really want to do and prepare for it. Hindi lang naman ikaw ang ganyan.

Try to look for the positive din. I believe kasi things happen for a reason talaga so probably there was also a reason that you studied that course. Character building? Life-long friends? There's always a good side to situations.

I don't think I even got to use a fourth of what I studied lol. As in wala talaga ata. 'Di ka nag-iisa.

In the past 10 yrs, I've loved & loathed every minute of my working life. Normal lang yan. It gets easier. Not because it actually gets easier- it's just that you get better at handling your frustrations.
