X grew up in the rugged Brecon Beacons Mountain National Park, In Wales. venturing out into the hills on solo day trips at age seven. Completing his first multi-day trip age twelve in the Beacons. Thus was his decision on a life of adventure. After high school he joined the military, spending ten years of duty in various countries and arenas. It was during these formative years he honed his wilderness skills; Rock climbing, Mountaineering, Skiing, Dog Sledding, Kayaking, Sailing, Survival Skills and Combat/Remote Wilderness Medicine and Rescue. With over fifty years experience travelling, working in fifty plus countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas.
For many years he was an Outward Bound Instructor in Europe, America and Asia. Also as a freelance guide. During the eighties, his adventure lifestyle was almost ended when, after a grueling mountain race, he became paralyzed from the waist down. Hospitalized for nine weeks and eighteen months recovery. X's determination paid off, with a 10k race time of 29 minutes and going on to set a world record for mountain biking, and traversing the French, Spanish and Andorran Pyrennean Alps..History repeated itself in 2007 when, a climbing accident in China, after a gear failure ended in a shattered elbow, broken ribs, pelvis and fractured skull. Nine surgeries and twenty one months recovery. Coining a phrase "Adventure has it's interesting day's"...
Recently, he's filmed/hosted five TV Documentaries here in the Philippines. ....He has lived with the Aetas, Batak and Native American tribe, The Crow. Of late, he completed a 90 Day xxxx Challenge across the (part of the philippines) , with no money, back-up and relaying on his survival skills and kindness of the locals....He Survived 90 Days.
