^Additional tips mga sissies kung morning ang wedding mo let's say 10am dapat magfull breakfast meal ka para may energy ka the whole day kasi for sure 4am ang call time nun and based on my experience di nyo maeenjoy ang food (naka-3 subo lang yata ako) since busy kayo sa photo ops with guests saka sa wedding program.
^for correction my wedding was 9:30am my call time was 3:30am.

hi sis anneshirley! average time daw ng hair and makeup for the bride is 2 hours. hope our sissies here can confirm. yung friend ko na former bride didn't know na ganito katagal so pinauna niya pa yung sister niya. when its time for her turn tuloy kinulang na siya sa time for pictorial.

hi sis xsugar! ang advise samin ng emcee for 10am wedding, 12nn daw talaga start ng cocktail. then actual program is 1pm to 3pm. after this pwede pa daw mag pictorial ulit para mas maganda yung lighting :)

HMUA call time is 5 to 6 hours before ceremony depending on the number of heads. Enough na yun for pictorial and travel unless super layo ng locations.
The bride will always be first dapat alam ng supplier yun.

I love this thread! So helpful :) Mga sis, would you recommend giving boutonnieres pa to ninongs and male secondary sponsors? I'm trying to see if I can cut back on costs eh... And for the prenup, do you think I HAVE to get a prenup stylist? Kelangan ba siya? Did you girls hire one pa for your prenup? I've seen some prenup photos kasi na parang okay naman without a prenup stylist... Thanks in advance for your replies! :)

not necessarily sis. kung creative ka naman, at may time to make props and gumawa ng mood board. pwede ng hindi. as for me, we had our first prenup abroad, ako lang nag isip ng theme and everything. eh ngayon, ayaw ko na mastress ng ganun so kumuha na ko for our second prenup sa pinas na. ayaw ko na mastress pa since 2weeks before ng wedding palang ako makakauwi.  :)

I shared my photographer dilemma with my gay office mate. He told me that I should follow my intuition regarding suppliers.

Past brides, I would love to hear (actually more like NEED to hear hehe) your thoughts on this. :)

Re boutonniére, you can also consider: are the men wearing Barong or coat? Kasi if the former medyo baka maging hassle ang pag-pin especially if piña. Besides most Barong Tagalogs are already beautifully embroidered.

If barong and you're insistent on having boutonniéres, better get the ones with magnets. Kasi masisira ng pins un pina fabric. Like what sis skela96c, maganda na un embroidery ng barong. Saan ba dapat un focus pagnakita un groom, nasa barong ba na nakasuot or nasa boutonniére na nakakabit sa barong?

Pansin ko, and trend ngayon is very much cluttered. Nawawala un focus. Example, un invitation, sobrang daming design to the point na hindi na napansin masyado un name ng couple and details. Dapat pag titingnan mo un invitation, un name ng couple un unang mapapansin. Not the design. Unless nalang na that's the look you're going for.

thanks for confirming sis ece. nagdadalawang isip talaga ko for prenup stylist eh... puro wedding planning lang din naman ginagawa ko ngayon, might as well ako nalang magdesign ng set namin. good luck to me! ang ganda naman ng prenup niyo abroad sis. i would love one kung pwede lang!

sis skela96c, yes if barong daw no need na for boutonniére. but the men in my entourage will be wearing suits. bare ba yung dating if wala silang boutonniére? ninongs and male secondary sponsors lang naman yung plano kong hindi bigyan eh...

sevangelista the men will be wearing suits

^sis no need to get a prenup stylist  kung cost efficiency ang iniisip mo.research ka lang sa pinterest ang daming ideas ang makikita mo at depende din kasi yan sa wedding theme nyo e. kami hindi na kumuha ng stylist saka yung props namin diy lang namin. nagpa-make up lang din ako sa isang salon before shoot (ako na lang nagretouch after) then palit palit lang damit mga tatlong beses. depende din kasi yun sis kung saan ang location ng prenup nyo.

thanks for that sis imprincessfiona, good to know there are fellow brides who skipped the prenup stylist :) we're having the prenup within metro manila lang kasi we don't want to go far din naman. i'm considering din something like what you did in regards to the prenup makeup. balak ko i-schedule yung trial makeup for the wedding on the day of the prenup shoot para 2 birds with 1 stone.

for boutonniéres, we had barong for our wedding the coordinator advised us not to have na kasi ang hirap nga daw ikabit and nasisira ang tela. everything looked ok naman, we had quirky socks for the groomsmen and the groom. even the father of the bride and groom work cute socks, father in law wore the one with bear and my dad wore the one with nintendos.

as of stylist, i was so grateful with ours; our busy schedules no longer permits us to do all the decors and props. and it was convenient for we no longer need to clean up. she was also very helpful with our clothing style. stylist is very helpful for time constraints and if you want to just appear on your shoot and don't mind anything else. for us i was very happy to have one on set. the make up artist and stylist was already part of the photographers package.

For me sa prenup shoots, less is more. More than the props and outfits worn I personally prefer the emotions (specially candid oned) captured in the photos. Look at JC&Bianca's engagement shoot. Pizza lang yata ang props hehe.

looking back, parang masyado akong magulong bride. for the most part, di ko alam ano ba talaga gusto ko. hahaha. tapos nagaasikaso ako ng kasal, may kinikimkim akong galit sa fiance ko kaya parang pilit na pilit. wala sa puso. so maganda siguro if you already have a picture of what you want for that day and dont cross things off your list without asking around first if it's really possible with your budget. :)

Hey barbeecue! I don't think naman a stylist is necessary for prenup shoots, I'm going through the ones in Bride & Breakfast (sample here http://brideandbreakfast.ph/2015/05/26/city-tale/) and although the couples do look very put-together I think as long naman as you (and/or your fiancee) knows your sense of style (individual/couple) no need na for props - just use what's out there on the street :)

Oh and not sure din (fiancee and I didn't opt for a prenup na), but maybe you can bring naman a set of clothes and the photographers can let you know what looks good on the camera and with the setting? The other brides here naman can help confirm this :)

hmmm. as an alternative, if you don't want to provide boutonnieres anymore, you can ask them to wear same tie color.  Ü

Former brides, may I ask for your feedback on your wedding shoes? What did you get-- heels (stiletto, thick, kitten?), flats, wedges? Did you end up changing shoes before the reception?

I love wearing heels kasi but since it's a garden wedding, the paved aisle isn't totally flat so I'm afraid to trip (it's happened before...) but wedges don't feel as "bridal". Same with flats.

What brand/s do you ladies recommend? I read a post in Bride & Breakfast about Melissa shoes but ang mahal nung swarovski-studded shoes (15k up!!!) and the rest don't really look like they're for *THE DAY* haha.

Thanks in advance :)
