Piece of advice, it won't hurt to have an earlier call time especially if you have an out of town wedding. You must always anticipate traffic! It's better to end up with lots of extra time than run out of it.  :)

Kakaloka naman yung experience ninyo sis! But you're right; traffic is a big consideration in weddings. It was actually the main consideration in ours kaya we decided to have the wedding in a place where the reception is near, the church is near and the hotel is also within the area.

hi mga brides !
ask ko lang. kasi may concern ako sa wedding gowns. it's a bit awkward to ask pero sige, ask ko na rin.

paano kayo nag cr during the time na suot ninyo gowns ninyo? mine kasi will be a ballgown dress.

worry ko na  mahirapan ako ma-wiwi. Worry ko din na may period ako on my wedding day. :( hay.... pano kaya? pano ninyo nadiskartehan?

I actually had to go to the toilet in my gown  :) My mom and the close-in coordinator held up my gown for me. Ok naman  :) if you have to go, you have to go

^Additional tips mga sissies kung morning ang wedding mo let's say 10am dapat magfull breakfast meal ka para may energy ka the whole day kasi for sure 4am ang call time nun and based on my experience di nyo maeenjoy ang food (naka-3 subo lang yata ako) since busy kayo sa photo ops with guests saka sa wedding program.

Alam mo sis, actually kami 10 am yung wedding naming. The HMUA team arrived by 3 AM but I was too nervy na to eat anything. My coordinators were saying I should eat kasi may mga instances na may nahihimatay sa gutom either groom or bride dahil di kumain prior to the wedding.

so happy to find this thread. just had my wedding last feb., i enjoyed the moment, just let everything happen... my photographers caption was "her cheerfulness was contagious" on her instagram post, its because i decided to just let go... sa too much let go, all my pics was bungisngis. It is also very important to choose the right suppliers; no regrets with ours.

my should haves were; should have focused more on details, be vocal on what you like and doesn't like. my example would be the bouquets, we had a friend who insisted she'll give it to us as a gift and she'll have it delivered, it ended up not connecting much with the theme and a very heavy, i mean extremely heavy bridal bouquet. i ended up calling for emergency back up bouquet from our florist; until now i laugh at the horrified faces of my photographer and coordinator, they were the ones who got upset. nagkabaliktad kami, i was the one who just laughed lang and assured them its no big deal. but i felt happy naman with the suppliers reaction because it meant that they care, hindi lang s'ya another wedding for them.

all in all i have nothing to complain; sometimes the things that did not go as planned are the memorable and funny ones. the important thing is when we look back, all we could remember is how much fun we had.

its mind setting, i had a crappy day before the wedding, maybe because i panicked realizing the last minute errands. slept late since my gown was delivered at 3am. but when i woke up on the "THE DAY" no matter how short my sleep was, my mood just switch and decided to seize the day.

tanong ko lang. if maibabalik ang wedding preps, anong aspect sa kasal ang sana ay natipid ninyo?

Hire a trusted coordinator na alam what you want and how you want things done.

Sila talaga yung aasahan mo. Your moh or bridesmaids baka mabusy din sa pagaayos ng sarili nila and di mo sila masisi minsan mas magseselfie pa yan. Ang coords, aalalay talaga sayo (little things like aabutan ka ng tubig kahit di mo namamalayan na uhaw na uhaw ka na pala, or oil blotting paper from nowhere, ganyan).  For me i let go of everything once umupo ako sa make up chair. Inasa ko talaga lahat sa coordinator. And i say sulit every cent na binayad ko and more.

Invite people who really want to be at your wedding. For us we invited only 120pax and  107 came. Not bad. Pansin namin yung mga di pumunta sila yung "ininvite natin si X so idamay na din natin siya", yung mga after thought ba. So pakiramdaman nyo din yung invitees if eager ba talaga sila pumunta. Your real friends would be there come hell or high water. walang lame excuses na last minute biglang sumakit ang ulo.

Think of your guests when conceptualizing the reception. what would they enjoy? Kasi minsan may peg tayong reception na hindi swak sa crowd. Like for us, we had fisball stalls and 90s chicheria served. Nagpabingo kami while they're waiting for us. May live band na pwede rokeoke. Since ganon ang vibe ng friends namin (at kami din), it was a success. They enjoyed it. pero if it was a different crowd, naku, im sure maraming kilay ang tumaas.

Be camera conscious. everybody would want to take a foto of you (stolen or otherwise).  i saw some of our fotos and yung iba parang kita na ngala ngala ko sa kakatawa. Kadiri. Lol!

Another thing we did which could help you too: a week before the wedding, we put all our pending payments to suppliers in separate envelopes. Each labelled with amount and supplier name. And then one envelope for our emergency fund (roughly 10% of our budget).

para lang hindi na namin iisipin sa frenzy ng wedding preps at dun pa magbilang bilang. These were turned over to my coordinator morning of wedding day.

For December brides, be mindful of the traffic especially if your wedding is before Christmas. My hotel and church were already in the same area (as in pwede lakarin), but the ceremony started 30mins late coz traffic was horrible pa so late si bridal car. I would've walked to church na lang but it rained that day din. Good thing we brought our own priest, and my coord was able to talk to the church officials To move the wedding. Tell your coord to set the call time 1 hour earlier.

Also whatever happens on the wedding day, just smile and laugh it off. Coz if you are stressed or pissed on your wedding day, makikita sa photos and videos and sayang lang you spent that much for your p/v

I love this thread, thank you!!!

Dear bzbee and angelholics, I'm gonna have a morning wedding din pero super clueless pa rin schedule-wise. Question for you dears: kailangan ba super aga ang start ng hair and make up? How long does it usually take to finish? :/
