I love decorating. My fave TV show and I watch this almost daily is anything on HGTV. We just recently re-decorated our house, and got good compliments for it from our visitors.

One trick that I like is buying furniture with double purpose. Like an ottoman that can serve as storage. Same thing with a side table. The head chair for our dining table is barely used, we have a small eat-in kitchen, so I put it in the TV room and serves as an accent chair, then put it back in the kitchen if we have guests staying for lunch/dinner.

Also like to play around with decor. I buy those that I can use in any room. Like a candle holder that can be placed on top of the fireplace mantle, but can be used also as a decor for the dining table, etc.

As for de-cluttering, we (actually hubby) threw a lot of things during our recent renovation.  For bulky things like comforters, I bought those plastic vacuum bags so there is less space for storage.

We have a project I am excited to decorate - small space only.

We will be decluttering again soon before moving to our new house this summer.
I super love the Konmari method of decluttering! Has anybody else tried it?

DIY Decorating
Gusto ko gawin 'to kasi we got a unit na and halos wala pang laman. Ayoko rin gumastos kami ng sobra kaya i'm trying my best to budget kasi kaya lang kami nagmove e para sa dog ko na isa. Anyway, i'm checking pinterest for DIYs and i want to start sa bedroom since doon kami most of the time (andoon kasi aircon haha!) Gusto ko medyo zen type of bedroom, So most likely beige white and brown gusto ko design ng room ko. Mas expensive kaya if do DIYs for the designs sa bedroom or bili na lang ako directly ng wall designs? Ty!

^the cheapest way to update or decorate any room is by painting it.
choose a paint color first based on your design preference and use that as a starting point to decorate. As for big furniture like your bed, know if you want a head board only which you attach on the wall, or buy a full bed frame.

Where can I buy tables/ cabinets and the likes na assemble na lang parang ikea? Or baka may ma recomend kayo gumagawa diy na mga ganito okay with me also. TIA!

For decluttering, I get my inspiration from Marie Kondo's The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up series  and Fumio Sasaki's Goodbye, Things: The New Japanese Minimalism.

Girls, what do you do with gifts and presents that you dont actually need? Do you regift them or aimply give them away? To whom?
Sometimes you turn back. Sometimes you walk away. And sometimes, you find the place you're meant to be, & you stay there.

I do both.
Just recently, I got a throw blanket from our Christmas secret santa gift exchange in the office which I do not particularly like because of the print so I just plan to re-gift or give it to somebody.

I try to use the gifts as much as possible. But if nagsawa na ako after using it, I give it away - either to relatives back home or to salvation army/similar orgs.

Re: decluttering

Atat na atat na ko magdeclutter but im currently preggy so need ko pa din itong maternity clothes na bigay sakin na di ko feel. Sayang din kasi. Im based in Sydney now ang hirap pa naman magbenta clothes/shoes/bags online unlike when I was in Pinas.

Also, sa mommies diyan, do you keep your children's art work?

^gifts that are totally out of my radar, I give away.
As for my kids work, I kept some. His artwork like paintings, like the one he did for Christmas, I display (kahit na medyo hindi kagandahan lol). I kept all the card he made for me and his dad for different occasions. There are some other school stuffs I kept, everything else I threw away.

Where do you send clothes that you don't use anymore? Clothes na pang work, gowns, dresses for formal events, etc.
