Hi mgs sis. This is my 2nd pregnancy (got pregnant again after almost 7 years of trying). I'm on my second tri, diagnosed with placenta previa..... Second time din na placenta previa but this one, mas malala naman, mas nakakatakot. Don't want to go into details pero it is more than spotting kahit na naka isoxilan na ako. Kung di pa naging ok ang situation ko after days of meds papa admit na ako siguro, just like nung first pregnancy ko.

Anyhow, I started this thread para makabasa ng inspirational/successful stories na dumaan din sa placenta previa. My only way para mabawasan ang depression/frustration ko. Thanks!

18th week sis, detected by US kasi bleeding ako. Akala ko nga aangat na by 18th weeks, yun pala hindi. Hopefully on my next US 23rd weeks umakyat na.......

pray lang tayo. ako last ultrasound ko 13 weeks wala naka note. yun din binabantayan sa akin na di ako mag previa. wala naman akong bleeding. ano naramdaman mo before ka magbleed.

Wala sis, no cramps or pain. Basta upon pee, ayun meron bleeding.... Checked kay ob, previa nga. Hopefully umakyat after a month pag check sa US....

Hi sis. I was diagnosed with Placenta Previa at 17 weeks kasi may light bleeding ako, no pain or cramps whatsoever din, I was admitted for almost 3 days, was on Isoxilan din. Ang diagnose pa sakin is Placent Previa Totalis, yung as in naka-cover yung placenta sa cervix so di ako ma-IE ni OB kasi baka madali niya sa sobrang baba so baka mag-bleed ako. When I was discharged at the hosp, ayun bed rest but with bathroom privileges. One day lang ako nag-spotting since maadmit ako. Inopen na sakin ng OB ko na pag hindi nagbago eh CS na, pero since 2nd trim pa lang ako there's still a big chance daw na umakyat pa placenta ko.


One month ako walang spotting, come 21 weeks, may pink spotting na naman ako, inobserve ko muna. Pink parin until may lumabas na medyo light bleeding again with small clot, so dun na ko nag-panic, pina-ultrasound agad ako ni OB, low-lying na lang with 0.8 cm away from OS. Baby has a strong heartbeat and good somatic activity. From then on, on and off ang spotting ko, as in bedrest ulit, sa tuwing makakagawa ako ng medyo mabigat na gawain or aalis at pupunta kahit sa malapit lang nagsspotting ako. As I said on and off spotting ko till 25 weeks. Ang hirap. Nakaka-frustrate kasi ang dami ko gusto gawin di ko magawa kasi bawal. Kada may spotting ako naiyak ako kasi natatakot akong baka may mangyari kay baby. Praning na praning ako.

26 weeks naka-attend pa ko ng 75th birthday ng Lola ko and thank God no more spotting. Ayun from 26 weeks di na ko nag-spotting, 28 weeks nakapag-mall pa ko para mag-shopping ng gamit ni baby. 29 weeks another ultrasound, I thought tumaas na kasi no more spotting. Unfortunately, still low-lying, 2.0 cm away from OS. Eh ang kay OB at least 4.5cm para i-try ako mag-normal.


Another ultrasound, BPS ultrasound, at 34 weeks, ang final ultrasound ko in which dun na magde-decide na kung umakyat eh ittrial ako mag-normal but if hindi, it's final, scheduled CS. So ayun, everything went well, perfect score ni baby sa BPS, ok amniotic fluid ko and cephalic na siya, but again di nakisama placenta ko, low lying parin, 3.9cm away from OS.

From that ultrasound, OB decided na sched CS na talaga ko, pinapili niya ko ng date, dapat daw earlier than my due date kasi di daw pwede ako mag-labor, kelangan unahan kasi baka mag-bleed ako. Had my operation at 38 weeks. I delivered a full term healthy baby girl at 7 lbs 2 oz!

Sabi nila and based on my research, prone sa pre-term labor and delivery pag may placenta previa, as well as sobrang bleeding. But with the help of prayers and pag bedrest ayun and lagi ko rin kinakausap si baby na wag magmadali lumabas, ok naman lahat. Umabot kami ng full term, and most importantly healthy si baby, di naman ako nag pre-term labor or whatnot, thank God.

Basta pray lang talaga and rest, follow your OB's orders. Kahit CS ako ok lang basta safe and healthy kami ni baby.

5.3 cm away from OS sis? Nako mas mataas pa yang sayo kesa sakin nuon. Ako 3.9 cm na naging pinakamataas ng placenta ko. Sabi pa sakin ng OB ko kung umabot man lang daw ako ng kahit 4.5 cm eh ittrial niya ko mag-NSD. Pero di umabot eh till 3.9 cm lang ako.

Covering the internal cervical os, sis. Mukhang mas mababa nga yung sakin. Hopefully umakyat naman, bed rest pa din ako on my 2nd week. Tagal pa ng US ko, next month pa. Para sana malaman ko agad kung nag improve man lang or hindi. Thanks sis!

Hi sis kymmiiee, congrats kasi success pa rin ang pregnancy mo. ako naman at 11 weeks nadiagnose. Totalis din yung sa akin. 13th week na ko. Bed rest talaga after ko na-admit sa hospital for 4 days. Through IV dinaan yung Isoxilan. Ngayon naman, 3 oral meds and 1 injection - Proluton depot. One week na walang spotting. Sana magtuluy-tuloy na and sana umakyat ang placenta.

Question lang sis kymmiiee, sinabi ba ng OB mo na kung total bed rest talaga, aakyat pa sana yung placenta, or hindi na talaga? Thanks!

Hello mommies, buti may thread na ganito. Super worried ako lagi kasi on my 4th ultrasound, low lying na ang placenta ko.  I'm now 24 weeks and this is my first pregnancy. In my last 3 US, mataas naman ang placenta, pero sobrang stressful siguro not sure if that was a factor din kasi I drive pa. Sabi ni OB wala naman daw kinalaman yung stress kasi sa implantation daw yun. Super takot ako kasi meron pa akong UTI.  I took muna the meds prescribed for my UTI. Hindi ko muna ininom si isoxilan kasi may nabasa ako na naban na siya sa US. Pero after careful consideration, I'll be taking this na although nakapagbedrest naman na ako. I am experiencing cramps din eh. Super naawa ako kay baby. Tapos yung feeling na parang medyo mababa ko siya nararamdaman hindi pa mataas.  I'm still hoping and praying na sana umakyat pa siya not that I want na magnormal but gusto ko lang safe si baby kasi conditioned na rin ako CS. Ayoko lang siya lumabas ng maaga.

^^ Hi sis, sorry for the late reply. Kahit nag-bedrest ako nun di talaga umakyat, though pag nadetect ng maaga sabi nila malaki pa chance umakyat kasi as the uterus expands nahihila pataas placenta, pero yung akin di nakisama. Ang purpose kasi ng bedrest pag previa ka eh para hindi ma-strain ang placenta kasi prone sa bleeding pag may previa eh.

^ Just follow your OB's orders. Praning din ako nun na baka lumabas siya ng maaga pero dasal lang talaga at di ko iniistress sarili ko at kinakausap ko din si baby na wag atat lumabas. Hehe. Ayun full term naman, healthy baby, 7 months na siya ngayon at ang kulet at active na active

^Okay, sis kymmiiee. Di nga siguro sa haba ng bed rest yun. Sabi rin ng OB ko, normally umaakyat daw placenta pero di niya minention yung 4.5 cm, gaya nung sa'yo. Though possible na dahil maaga pa naman kasi sa ngayon, 14 weeks pa lang ako. Tama ka sis, dasal lang talaga. Thank you sa pagshare ng kwento mo.

^ You're welcome sis. Malaki pa chance niyan umakyat kasi 14 weeks pa lang naman. Basta don't stress yourself and wag na wag magbubuhat ng mabibigat.

I was diagnosed with placenta previa at 13 weeks. Sabi ni OB kanina, complete bed rest daw muna for 2 months. As in bawal lumabas at bawal gumawa sa loob ng bahay. Mahirap pala. High risk na daw kase, 1st pregnancy ko tapos 36 yo na din ako.
Babalik ako after a month. Sana mag ok na

Hello mommies

I was diagnosed din with placenta previa on my 20th week scan and CAS. Placenta previa (not sure kung totalis and breech pa si baby that time. Never akong naka-experience pa ng bleeding so far (despite strenuous activities) and we're really praying na umakyat yung placenta. I'm on my 27th week due on March pa naman pero I've never had another scan after my 20th week, so hindi pa namin alam if umaakyat ba yung placenta ko.

Hi mga sis. Sa latest ultrasound ko, nakalagay placenta located posteriorly totally covering os.
I'm currently at 12wks. Meron ba dito na umakyat ang placenta eventually as the pregnancy progress? May other side effects ba to other than bleeding and C section delivery? Wala naman akong bleeding so still praying na sana magnormal yung location nung placenta.

^ Totally covering? Totalis? Anyway, yes, big chance pa yan umakyat. Don't strain yourself lang.

^ I don't know sis kung same yung meaning non. Yun kasi nilagay nung sono yung totally covering. She mentioned naman na, it's too early na magconclude. nilagay lang daw niya para imonitor on my next ultrasound. Praying na sana nga magnormalize na yung location nya. Thanks for the response sis!!!

Ako since 18 weeks on and off and spotting ko and bed rest. I'm going to my 23rd week now. Initially it was due to yeast infection pero gumaling na at lahat meron pa rin. But it's just light brown spotting minsan nga tan colored pa. Usually 1x or 2x tissue incidents per week. Previous ultrasounds ko taken at 18 and 20 weeks high lying placenta ko. Di na ko nasasanay, para ako mababaliw pag nakakakita ako ng brown blood. Naka 2 beses na ako sa triage ng makati med, and normal naman si baby. Ang finding lang is my yeast/bacterial infection.

Then finally on my 22nd week nung nag nag triage Ako sa makati med due to spotting again, I was found to have placenta previa partialis.

So now, I'm not sure if my light spotting incidents are due to my infection or sa placenta previa ko. Mukhang di pa rin ako masasanay sa light brown spotting. :/ nakaka stress din tumakbo sa triage for emergency. Lol. Bed rest pa rin. I'm seeing my OB next week to discuss my new condition which is the placenta previa. She just wants me to relax and rest this week.

I hope and pray na ma control ko emotions Ko whenever I see a light spotting. Lol.
