^FMJ was a smart and really good defensive fighter. Talagang inaral nya ang fight style ni pacquiao pero pacquiao seems to have underestimated FMJ, sabi nga nung sa yahoo blog, you just can't fight FMJ on a straight line.... i'm quite certain MP is contemplating really hard now about his retirement. Not really a good way to retire nga lang bec of the bad fights he's been getting lately.

I just can't stop laughing at the bitter fans, MP lost fair and square pero proud pa rin sila hahaha

^ I guess, just let those 'bitter' fans. Let them have their moment. Floyd didn't agree to this fight to lose. He totally controlled Manny in almost all aspects. We didn't see the mighty "left" of Manny, and Floyd's defense was superb. If those "hugs" and "runs" was Floyd's plan to win, then sorry si Manny, it totally worked. Need lang siguro ma-inform ng Pinoys na parte ng boxing yan. LOL

Walang masama if Pinoys are still proud of Manny. Ganun mag-work ang "patriotism" ng Pinoy.

^and you got people talking that manny is no longer at his prime kaya sya natalo blah,blah,blah that he wasn't throwing enough punches or he wasn't focused at all - sa loob loob ko naman, how on earth could manny afford to lose focus on the most important fight of his career di ba? ano yan may LQ na naman ba sila ni jinkee?

This fight clearly showed that manny didn't up his game, same style pa rin sya sa flurries nya pero FMJ on the other hand took the time to really learn and adjust to MP's style and it showed. Kala siguro ni MP madadaan nya sa puntos ang panalo this time but clearly it wasn't the case anymore.

And oh look, people still congratulating manny for his efforts - wow, as if pampalubag loob does anything anymore. Sure MP is thankful for the support that he's gotten but deep inside, the lost is eating him from the inside. And he sure as hell ain't showing his confident smile no more. 

"Sa puso ng mga pinoy, si MP pa rin ang panalo" - that's the typical false sense of pinoy pride BS at work right there. Tuwing laban na lang ni MP pinupusta ang pagka pinoy kaya ayun pag natalo hindi magkamayaw sa pagka ampalaya, sisigaw na lang na kesyo nadaya sya at sabay walk out na nag-ngitngit ng inis

if his superior defense includes running away and hugging his opponent, then I agree, defensive nga sya Sabi nga nila, if hindi mo matatalo ang kalaban mo, takbuhan mo. So yes, in that way Mayweather was "smart" and his defense was "superb".

Ang boksing kasi hindi lang puro suntukan, gamitan din ng utak at diskarte, kasama na dun ang depensa at footwork. You don't just throw punches, you also get into your opponent's head by tiring them and countering them in order to beat them - that's how the sport is played.

Yung hugging na yun is called clinching, and you utilize that to stop your opponent's advances, again that is PART of the game. Bradley did that before to MP to stop his flurries and it worked, not surprised that floyd implemented that as well.

At the end of the day, people, the fans, expected more from this "fight of the century". It didn't deserve to be called that. I personally would feel ripped off if I had to pay thousands of dollars to see one of the boxers dance around the ring. Strategy or not, it was not what people wanted. Even my husband who knew from the get go that Mayweather will win (MP fan though) didn't expect this match to be so boring. He didn't expect him to be THAT defensive that he hardly really did anything.

Fight of the century... right...
