For the past few days, hindi mareconcile ng isip ko how could a 15 year old girl commit suicide; anong klaseng depression ba pwdeng pagdaanan at that stage, etc.? Nakakasad she didn't have enough courage na sabihin what she was going through when she was alive.

Imo one of the problems with teenagers nowadays, they expect to be understood without having to explain themselves. Ang labo di ba? Yes i am speaking from experience, as we've recently discovered that my 13 year old sister has been cutting herself for 2 years na and she wouldn't tell us why. You can just imagine how frustrating that is, ang hirap makipag-deal sa mga bata ngayon sa totoo lang.

bothered ako sa sinabi ni Julia na "i wish you would've noticed" - of course the parents would blame themselves. ang sakit nun. Depression is a private and personal matter. People usually hide it. So how would the parents know na may tinatago na pala siyang ganun? Maybe they don't even know about the artworks.

@sis pandalicious, self-harming or cutting oneself is a way for the depressed to release their emotional pain. i've cut myself when i was just 13 years old. and i know others who did the same when they were just teenagers. baka yung sister mo ayaw mag-open up because she's afraid no one will understand her. be patient. check mo if she's being bullied at school, or if she's surrounded by friends naman. she needs love.

I'm sure Julia had her reasons that we will never know now but I have to agree with some of you sisses na ang hirap na intindihin ng kids nowadays cus they expect you to reach out to them without them doing their part. For some reason, andameng kids who are full of hatred and anger. Again, it's the social media I blame, at the same time, maybe kulang yung time ng child and parent. It's so difficult to be a parent nowadays.

^^ yes sis, sabi nya nga she cut herself when she's sad (what makes her sad, she wouldn't say). She have friends naman, ang ingay nga nila pag magkakasama. She's part of the "popular" crowd pa nga sa school niya. When we ask her kung alam ng friends niya ginagawa niya, alam daw at pinagsasabihan nga siya na tumigil. Dinala na siya ng mom ko sa psychiatrist, change of environment nga ang nirecommend.

^ako din sis i blame the social media, ang daming kung ano-anong natututunan, ang dami din bullies.

with all the news happening to teens in showbiz, i hope ABS and GMA require these kids to undergo a regular consultations with doctors.

topic namin to ni hubby these past few days, our eldest is 7 pa lang pero parang matanda na mag-isip, and we have no idea what happens in school, kung ano lang yun kinukwento nya yun lang ang alam namin. how can you protect your child ba?

we are considering homeschooling and getting a family psych.
i'm just so paranoid. i cannot imagine this things happening to my kids.

Ang mahirap pa ngayon, kids are exposed to gadgets that give them the access to social media tapos ang makikita yang pwet ni Justin Bieber ^ o pag-lick ni Arianna Grande sa donut sa isang store. Sa fb lang dami kong nakikita na mga anak nila na 1 yr old pa lang yata nag-a-iPad na, na hindi talaga nakakatuwa. Minsan gusto kong sabihan yung parents na, okay lang kayo? Pero syempre ang hirap makialam sila yung mga magulang.
