Canteen Concessionnaire

Mga sis, anyone here who owns/ operates a canteen? Or even yun nagdidistribute lang sa offices?

I'm planning and thinking of doing this perk hindi ako yung mismo magluluto. May mgacgusto lang ako matulungan kasi. TIA sa mga sasagot.

Check if there is an existing fast food or canteen already servicing a building -- where you intend to distribute food.   Kung meron na -- mahihirapan ka  to get past the guards to distribute food --  the building administration is bound to protect the canteen in the building.

Project sites are good to look at - if  just starting pa Lang in this business.  Negotiate with the construction company for free space , water and electricity for lower priced meals for its laborers.   Be sure pag Sabado -- asa tabi ang collector mo as each laborer gets paid.

You can operate canteens where there are lots of laborers/ low tier employees, or heavy pedestrian traffic.   It's tiring but good business sa mga ganito:  money down.

the best place for this  is near a university you can add a copy center and internet shop to cater to students. i am into this biz right now  we also have a store....grabe ang lakas ng load, softdrinks, cigarettes and candies sa  mga students. they like spag, burgers, pizza, frappe, chips...alam mo naman mga students yan ang mga type na food. kailangan lang marami kang tables ang chairs kasi mahilig silang tumambay. they go to school early to meet up with friends tambay sa canteen mo tapos eat ng ahit ng ano tapos pasok sa class balik na naman sa canteen tatambay kakain iinom ng drinks mag smoke. i am surprised, nowadays ang dami na nag smoke mapa girl o boy. off topic but really good biz ito.

Buhayin ko ang thread na to. I'm planning to do canteen din sana. I wonder how much total capital ang kailangan, and what about the helpers? How much pay nila. Thanks

Capital depends anong products ang isell.. usually pag inside schools, they prefer franchises or mga matagal na nagbebenta ng foods. Mahirap pumasok sa canteens inside schools. Pag outside naman, less than 50k makakastart ka na.. dati kinuha ko nagbabantay mga part time students..
hindi ako familiar sa mga canteens sa office buidings..

I just want to share canteen concessionaire is a thriving business in call center industry. Imagine all the buildings in a call center company has pantry in each floor. The company provides everything that a concessionaire needs from microwave to kitchen sink  to tables and chairs water dispensers. Though they don't allow cooking inside the building kaya mga concessionaire sa pantry dinedeliver na lang mga food na nasa aluminum tray. Tapos kayo na mag provide ng plates and utensils. Sa isang company napasukan ko round the clock ang concessionaire yung iba naman every 6 months daw nagpapalit ng concessionaire. May iba naman nag start mag open at 8pm until 6am. Tapos 2 lang ang staff na nag maman ng pantry isang taga serve at isang dishwasher. self-service naman kaya hindi na kailangan ng waiter. Well sa iba merong busboy kapag malaki ang pantry talaga. Depende din kasi sa account kaya may mga sched na ganon depende din talaga sa account. I'm sure may bidding mga ganyan magpapasa lang kayo ng proposal or quotation. Saka competitive din ang pricing nila. For each meal dapat 50p to 60p lang rice and 1 viand na yon saka ang serving nila mas marami  kaysa sa mga carinderia. Tapos you can sell sandwiches and other snacks like chips and fruits for desserts. Kahit naman nakapaligid ang mga fast food and resto sa mga call centers, madalas prefer ng mga call center employees sa pantry kasi tinatamad lumabas o kaya nagtitipid kaya nagpapantry kami. Ang iba naman press for time sa dami ng work kaya sa pantry kami kumakain talaga. Usually sa HR nagpapass ng proposal for canteen concessionaire kaya inquire na lang kayo. Sa Northgate in Alabang lahat ng buildings dun call center lahat may mga pantry so inquire na lang kayo. HTH
