Cancelling booking with suppliers

Has anyone experienced having second thoughts about booking a supplier?

I booked kasi my OTD and florist (both from the same company) but would now like to cancel. Ang kasing inconsistencies kaya worried na kami.

The thing is, nakalagay sa contract na pinadala nila we can only cancel 1 WEEK AFTER THE BOOKING. It doesn't say naman what will happen if we cancel after a week has passed. Plus, we haven't signed the contract. Really, all we did was make the booking.

May habol pa ba sila sa amin nun? Should we be afraid of getting sued?

regardless of the timeline and reason, you always have the right to cancel a booking with any supplier. yun lang sis, mafoforfeit ang downpayment mo in most cases. pero if you are worried about getting sued, i don't think so. kaw na din nagsabi walang pinirmahan kayo sa contract. i don't think din suppliers will bother to sue you din, baka wala pa sa kalingkingan ng attorney fees ang magagastos nila vs the amount ng booking mo with them. once lang ang kasal sis, better be certain and confident with your suppliers as early as possible kesa magkaroon regrets later.

Thanks, avane! Medyo na-stress lang kami with that clause that we can only cancel within 7 days. It just sounds weird, lalo na kapag wala pang pirmahan ng contract.

I'm thinking they must've experienced other clients who canceled after contract-signing. Baka yun ang ibig sabihin nila. That actually makes more sense.

no prob, sis! siguro ang ibig nila sabihin e pwede mo pa makuha yung reservation fee pag kinancel within 7 days. pero dapat don pa lang makikita mo na if malinaw kausap ang supplier haha. when I had my wedding, all my supplier contracts were very detailed regarding cancellation clauses. pero bottomline, worry not pag magcchange ka ng supplier.  if for your peace of mind naman kapalit e why not.

And THAT'S exactly why we're cancelling. They have those little confusing things that you're really never sure what they mean. Kailangan tawagan para i-clarify. Wala pang pirma sa OTD and we already had them revise it once. Sa florist naman, we had it revised 4x!

No problem with cancelling basta be ready if non refundable talaga ang DP. It happened to us with our Dec 2013 wedding, not just one but 3 suppliers actually yung isa nga venue pa eh. Ang saklap kasi sayang ang pera pero hindi na namin pinagsisihan kasi nakabawas talaga sa supposed stress. I meant stressful na nga diba kaya mo gusto icancel so we just saved ourselves from future stress na mas malala pa if ever. Hindi mabibili ng pera yung pagiging kampante mo eh, so ang maaadvise ko if youre in doubt ngayon palang follow your instinct. Kung mababalik ko nga lang sana hindi ako nagpanic booking lol but no regrets

No problem in cancelling your contract with them sis yun lang karamihan non refundable. It happened to me sa florist mo good thing 2k lang yun downpayment. Hindi ko sya tinuloy kasi ang dami nya bad feedback. i message them sa fb at text about cancelling their contract. A day before my wedding they called us asking what time idedeliver flowers the next day. Sabi ko huh? Eh di ba cancelled na? Sumagot pa nga kayo ng ok e. Binabaan na ko hehe

yup sis, you can cancel your booking with any supplier anytime. Yun nga lang, your dp will be forfeited, sayang din. Pero mas oks na ganun kesa hindi sila magperform ng maayos during your wedding day.

yes sis you may cancel your booking with them..when in doubt dapat talaga that why with some supplier pag medyo tempting yung offer we ask if we can pencil book them for at least a week or more before deciding that way di masayang ang dp naming:) try mo din sis mag pencil book muna most of the suppliers agree naman, without the fee.

Hi mga sis, ask ko lang if possible dn ba magcancel ng booking with a caterer? Since nakapackage ako sa venue so [textspeak!] pa nman kami downpayment..

Yes sis. You can cancel any supplier naman pero if they asked why, tell them too what the real reason is mas maappreciate nila.

Having doubts about one of my suppliers! Thinking of cancelling my booking but 10k is 10k. Plus I don't think H2B will agree without much persuasion. Hay, what to do.

Can you use the 10k for something else juwie? That's what I did with my 10k too with printcafe naman.. they allowed me to use it for other items. What is this supplier ba na you want to cancel?

Be honest with your supplier as to why you're cancelling para at least may idea sila bakit at magimprove naman sana.

Also check the contract in case there is a clause for cancelling.. Normally, it's forfeited DP/payments pero meron din minsan gusto full payment due to whatever.

hayyy..i can relate..isa sa stress ko itong pagpapacancel ng mga suppliers..our coordinator has her own florist, singers etc..we already paid the dp for flowers for 2k lang naman pero di ko talaga matanggap na ang bulaklak sa kasal namin ay aabot ng 50k to think na sa Baguio ang kasal namin at December pa which is season ng maraming flowers diba? namamahalan lang talaga ako sa flowers kaya gusto kong ipacancel yung pagpapabook namin..may pinirmahan kami na document eh..hindi ko lang alam kung contract na yun o acknowledgement na nakareceive siya (our coordinator) ng 2k na dp for the flowers..gusto ko na lang icancel at maghanap ng iba na mura pero maganda..ang mahirap lang, family friend ni h2b yung coordinator kaya pinagtatalunan talaga namin yung pagpapa cancel sa flowers na yun..i tried to haggle with the amount of the flowers but no response ang coord namin.. haayyyy..

^Try doing research on wedding floral arrangement packages, then present them to your husband nang makita niya how exorbitant 50k is! For flowers?!?

At the very least, it might make him think twice about the expense.

50k for flowers in Baguio is too much for me. To think na, nasa Baguio na kayo ha. Dun galing halos lahat ng flowers na bumabagsak sa Dangwa. Sis, it's your wedding. Do whatever you want with your own money. Just my two cents.

sis LingMVL gusto ko nga sana icancel na lang kasi hanggang ngayon hindi nagrereply yung coordinator kung pwedeng bawasan...nakaka stress! ayoko kasi na may nagtitake advantage sa h2b ko..kasi super bait talaga..mahirap lang ipilit yung gusto ko kasi foster mother ni h2b yung coordinator namin..naghanap na ako ng mas mura na florist..meron naman na akong mga options..nasabi ko na din kay h2b at gusto lang niya ay pabawasan yung amount at hindi totally icancel yung flowers..
