sis fluffyfluff, based on what i read here common problem sa caterers na masarap yung food pag food tasting lang. pagdating daw ng wedding, mediocre quality nalang or sometimes not good at all talaga. i've yet to resolve how to go about it. siguro kausapin nalang ng maigi yung AE? di ko rin alam... anyway, try niyo muna yung ibang caterers accredited by gazebo royale or hanging gardens. don't book the first one agad kasi baka may ibang mas masarap pa dyan. kami ni h2b naka 5 food tastings with caterers before we decided which one we want at our wedding. the last caterer we had a food tasting with had the best tasting food, hands down talaga. other b2bs umaabot ng 10 food tastings.

re: coolers. hindi ko alam if sa gazebo royale or rented siya sis. most probably from gazebo royale na siya kasi usually venues that don't have a/c automatically offer other cooling options, for a fee. parang sa fernwood since walang a/c, they offer evaporative coolers for rent at 1,500 each.

Ang fragile mo naman sis Naku ka, wedding planning requires you to do errands here and there pa naman. It's fun tho and once in a lifetime lang

We love, love, love Passion Cooks sis They were the fifth and last caterer we tried. Mas sulit sa styling ang K by Cunanan pero mas nasarapan kami sa food ng Passion Cooks. Super talaga Hindi nga lang sila accredited sa venue namin so may corkage but worth it yung sarap ng food nila and panalo rin customer service, so friendly and accommodating. Through email or text, they reply within a few hours.

Sad to say sis, hindi namin nagustuhan yung Josiah's. It wasn't a good fit para samin ni h2b. Hindi kami nasarapan at all. Tsaka nung pumunta kami nung food tasting nila, ang konti lang ng freebies compared to the other caterers we tried like Juan Carlo or Shekinah. Mas marami and mas magaganda pa yung freebies ng Shekinah and mas nagustuhan pa namin yung food nila (compared to Josiah's). But try Josiah's for yourself sis para ma-experience niyo rin. You might see it differently and baka mas okay na freebies yung ma-offer nila sa food tasting na mapuntahan niyo. Mababait din naman yung AEs nila. Mas mabait kesa AEs ng Juan Carlo (from my experience).

Mas gumaganda stylings ng Passion Cooks lately compared sa K by Cunanan, pero ang maganda sa dalawang caterers na yan quality talaga lahat pati waiters mababait and wala kang itulak kabigin. In terms of food and stylings ng Josiahs hindi ko talaga sila magustuhan, lalo na yung food walang masarap kundi yung chicken barbeque nila. Mas masarap ang food ng Hizons kesa sa Josiahs sa totoo lang. Better get Hizons na lang if tight budget. Pero sa lahat ng caterers na natikman ko, pinakamasarap ang food ng Centertable Catering.

Sakto lang sis, kakainquire ko lang sa Passion Cooks kahapon and I'm just waiting for their reply Ang ganda ng mga styling nila lately na hindi ko mapilitan sarili kong magtanong hehe willing ako mag bayad ng corkage fee kung masarap naman talaga ang food at ok ang styling.
I'll ask Josiah and Shekinah nalang din kelan FT nila and wish ko lang ok health ko nun:)

Sis noveetwenty3, ang ganda ng designs ng Passion Cooks lately noh? Hizon's yung caterer namin nung birthday ng dad ko and ok naman sila. Flexible naman sila with us and super nice nung AE namin noon, pero gusto namin sana mag try ng iba Wala sa mga shortlisted venues namin ang may partner with center table eh, sayang, pero check ko nadin sila Kung reasonable price naman na and masarap talaga food then okay lang magdagdag. Magpapakain nalang ako, siguraduhin ko nalang na masarap na hehe Thanks sa input!

Sis deedeedee, yes Dusit allowed us to pay the downpayment in order to block the date, then next year na other half. Hinabol ko yung price lock cause they mentioned they might increase within this year. Pero sis i know that for some hotels di talaga pwede magreserve as early as now, like sa fairmont/raffles, when i inquired buong ballroom a&b ang pwede ireserve which costs a million in total then they told me to check again 3rd qtr.of the year. Makati shang din when i inquired last feb.- too early padaw. Eh december wedding kami so gusto talaga namin mablock yung date namin. abang kana lang sis. Like end of august try to make kulit baka sakali.

sis juwie's right, fluffyfluff. passion cooks is my caterer and i SUPER LOVE talaga their food but their standard styling is too basic. if you're the type of bride who wants all the bells and whistles for the overall look of her wedding, you won't be happy with passion cooks' styling unless you upgrade. ito yung sinasabi ko na mas sulit styling ng k by cunanan. yung basic styling ng k by cunanan, upgraded na sa passion cooks. we've set aside a styling budget and i'm collecting pegs na para ms maja and ms bonnie can give me an estimate of how much the upgraded styling will cost. ang gusto ko rin sa passion cooks, ms maja (the owner) personally handles all weddings. feeling ko alaga talaga ko kasi yung owner na umaasikaso sakin. they'll work within your budget naman. they can copy any look naman daw, all for a fee of course. i have a copy of their standard backdrops, standard centerpieces, wedding menu and mix and match menu. pm me your email ad and i'll send it to you.

Hi mhaymhay0519, a coordinator is a big help. If you get the full package, they'll do everything for you. If you're hands on naman sa wedding, a semi-full or an OTD will work just fine. Find a coordinator na maasikaso, has a reliable team and a good reputation. Marami kang mahahanap na coordinator feedback dito. I think there's a thread here on coordinators. Have fun!

^ Hi sis barbeecue! Yes we are going to get the full package. Sa hometown ng h2b ko ang wedding namin so dun kame kukuha ng coordinator. Tapos kame naman naka base dito sa manila. Kya we decided to get a coordinator. 180k yung rate nila for full coordination. Okay lang ba yung price na yun for full package? nag research din naman ako sa coordinator na yun and satisfied naman yung mga previus clients

Newbie here as well sisters. Thank you for this thread ang dami kong natutunan. We never had any FT yet nor booked venue or church yet and our wedding is on Feb2016 na. Good luck talaga. Hopefully, before this June ends  plantsado na venue and church and even the caterer. Happy preps everyone!
