hi mga sis! ilan na na-attend-an niyong bridal fair this year? curious lang, hehe 
kame 4 pa lang, sa una lang kame excited at na-overwhelm sa dami ng suppliers at mga freebies and discounts na offer nila, nun mga next parang nagsawa na ko kase pare-pareho halos mga andun sa bridal fair, pero excited pa din sa mga perks plus nanalo kame sa raffle once, hehe..

^ako wala sis. i attended one here overseas para lang maexperience ko. on our arrival in MNL this 17th, 2 ang bridal fair, i'm not sure if i have time pa to check though. i have suppliers na binook ng coordinator ko for me sa mga previous bridal fairs that's why naka avail pa ko ng promos and discounts.

I only attended one and it was really fun, pero at some point naging overwhelming din siya. You can easily feel pressured to book because of all the discounts and promos. Although, one OTD I talked to said, marketing strategy lang daw nila yung discounts. Suppliers usually mark up their rates then tell you that you can avail of discounts when you book right then and there.

I found that true when one particular supplier kept emailing me to say na extended yung bridal fair promo nila. Mga 3 beses niyang inextend yung "promo" for me. I still didn't book

That's the thing with bridal fairs. andaming promos and freebies and discounts that sometimes there are brides who forget to check quality of service and reviews first, book nalang kaagad. And then end up regretting na napressure sila magbook after doing research. Never ever get pressured to book. Kung di sure or di ka pa nakapag-explore ng several options, wag nalang muna magbook. Please do note that while there are sikat and reputable suppliers there, madami ring baguhan dun (kaya sila nandun they need more clients) so doing extra research won't hurt. And it's true LingMVL, minsan kaya perpetual ang bridal fair rate nila kasi di naman talaga discounted yun. Hehe they pay anywhere from 20-30k per booth, so kailangan nila bawiin sa volume ng clients booked talaga and minsan they are desperate enough to offer kung ano-anong come on just to get you to book.

I think I've attended 3-4 fairs this year but minimal lang booked namin, majority of the more important suppliers i still booked outside of the fair, kasi most of them rin hindi naman nagpaparticipate sa fairs.

We went to 2 bridal fairs this year. Pero usually when I go may ibobook na na supplier. Bridal fairs tend to be exhausting and overwhelming at times. Usually I would do research muna and email suppliers. If there's a bridal fair coming up usually sila naman naqgsasabi na dun ko sila ibook. And also I think it can also be a good venue to meet with your potential suppliers and feel if ok sila ka-work.

And yes agree that some suppliers would mark up their prices and offer discounts. I've read somewhere na yung freebies di rin nadedeliver. And may suppliers talaga who kept calling and emailing me like months after. nakakabad mood lang when it happens and i'm busy at work.

hi sis jhoni, that's the first thing i noticed!! ang layo nga ng church sa reception but that's okay if you will provide transpo to guests. I thought nga na malayo na yung church ko kasi 30 min lalo pag traffic. what time is your wedding sis?

jhoni, nagulat din ako sa church and reception distance. pero keri naman siguro yan depends nga on the day and time. maybe you can also suggest routes for your guests since they may have different options naman. and allot enough time lang in between the church and reception.

Hi everyone. Valentines' Bride here... so far Church, Reception, P/V pa lang nabubook ko..

I keep on looking for reviews of Patio Victoria (our reception venue) but I rarely see reviews especially sa foods. I also sent some e-mails to them because I wanted to clarify some things in the package, hindi kasi ako nagbook nun since I am based in SG, and until now, wala pa ring sumasagot sa e-mails ko.

Sa Church naman, syempre oks na oks ang San Agustin, kaya I'm calling those February 14 brides, if you want, we can share the upgrade of floral decoration, pede daw un from what I have read here in Girltalk..

Sa P/V, I booked Rule of THirds by JR Salonga, so far, wala pa kong bad reviews na nababasa bout sa kanya.

OTD Coordinator - I've already talked to Sheena of SMA, and i'm just waiting for the draft of our contract before paying the Downpayment.

Hay..exciting pala ang magprepare for your wedding, stressful but fun...

Hi sis, my wedding's on Jan 2016. Mga minor na lang kulang ko, though yung gown (i think hindi minor) undecided pa din ako kung kanino ko papagawa. Medyo nag stop ako mag search for suppliers this month, coz fiance is in a 2-month business trip eh, sabi ko pag balik nya na lang in June ako mag reresume. Haha! Hope you enjoy supplier hunting sa bridal fair. I've attended a number of bridal fairs na din pero wala ako nabook na anything hehe, tingin tingin lang.

Sisses Marsala2016 & JanaGirl - Hi sisses! Sorry sa late reply, just got back from vacation/teambuilding with my colleagues. Yung previous P/V po kasi namin ok sa fair, dami freebies. Makikita nyo sila agad sa fairs kasi sa harapan sila parati. Parang too good to be true yung package. So book ko sila WITHOUT reasearch. Imagine Php35000 complete na lahat, nakakatakam for most B2Bs di ba?! When I checked their FB page, di ito fully updated ng recent projects nila. May prenup video pa dun ng couple na shot MTV style sa isang old doo-wop song na sobrang labo at dilim ng kuha. Umitim yung couple sa video, nalungkot ako for them. Sa pictures ok naman pero may kulang talaga e. Tapos may clause pa sila na for prenup shoots, kailangan sunduin namin sila. OMG they'll be coming from Project 8 tapos sabihin natin the shoot will be held at Pasig, o di ba sobrang layo? Ubos oras, sumakit na ulo ko kakaisip nun.

Sis Jhoni - Ang layo ng church sa reception. Hmm pero kung yan talaga gusto nyo, why not? Di ba? Sis if you're considering CJ Jimenez (yehey pareho tayo) paBook mo na agad. Nagpost siya sa FB last night na 3 slots na lang daw ang free nya, not sure if for 2015 or 2016 since ako 2016 pa wedding ko but I booked her, pinakauna sa lahat ng suppliers ko. Yung rates pa nya na nakuha ko is 3000-5000 cheaper sa rates nila ngayon. She has team B na headed by Steph Ching & ok din gawa nya. Medyo OP nga ako sa usapan ng makeup artists dito kasi karamihan ng brides dito na nababasa ko recommend nila sina Eds Go, Nini Marquez(?) or Ten Franco. Kung di lang over sa budget namin, gusto ko sana si Mariah Camaya Santos. Sa galing nya, (transformation makeup!) he made me doubt CJ so I had to unsubscribe from him sa FB. Yung 2 heads kasi ni Mariah (bride & groom) mas mahal pa sa package E ni CJ e almost complete na yun, with prenup styling & makeup na kasama. Nakakabakla ng damdamin at decision pero ayoko rin magmukhang ibang tao. So definitely, alam ko na talaga kay Ms. CJ na ako.

Aww sis djctapalla23, nakaka sad naman yung experience with your previous P/V. Kaya dapat talaga careful tayo sa pagpili sa bridal fairs. Kami ang ginagawa namin ni H2B, pumupunta kami sa bridal fair on their first day. Then pag may nakita kaming okay, we don't book right then and there. Nire research muna namin sa bahay, then pag okay naman ang reviews nila, bumabalik kami sa fair the following day. Yun eh kung may time pa kami. If not, we just message them and nakikipag meet na lang kami sa kanila. Overwhelming talaga ang mga offers pag bridal fair, yung iba too good to be true. Haha! Anyway, sana you've found na your P/V na okay and sakto sa taste mo sis.
