Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue

Hi sissies! any of you following this tradition? haven't given any thought about this until now. i'm just curious about what you'll have as your Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue.

For love of traditions, yes we'll do that by next year.

For me:
Something old & borrowed - my mom's jewelries and my own for accessories
Something new - generally the whole attire is new
Something blue - the garter (unless I decide on putting blue accents on my shoes)

hi bzbee, this is actually an american tradition but we're following it since my husband's american

here are mine:
1) something old - my shoes and bouquet; i've already used them during my civil wedding and they'll be about a year old on my church wedding day
2) something new - my wedding dress
3) something borrowed - my father's hanky...i used to take my father's hankies when i was younger and use them...so no difference on my wedding day and i don't care if it's not dainty and white and lacey 
4) something blue - on my bouquet, there's one ribbon rose where i have embroidered our initials in blue thread, that's my something blue

Here are my list:

1.something old & borrowed - gold bracelet from mom
2.something new - wedding gown and chuck taylor shoes
3.something blue - underwear (hahaha wala me maisip kasi moss green ang motif ko )

Hi sissies! What's your something borrowed?

Do you think okay lang ba hiramin ko yung long veil ng friend ko na recently lang kinasal? May design kasi yung edges nun sa kanya. May veil na kasama yung gown ko pero plain lang...the regular one. I need to add 4k daw according sa bridal shop if i want to upgrade dun sa may design.

I do not see any problem with it sis as long as papahiramin ka ng friend mo. And unless may relative ka na kokontra kung may pinaniniwalaan silang pamahiin about it.

^thanks sis stylus! Hmmm... nasa pinas pa si friend pag di na sya busy tatanungin ko kung wala sila pamahiin dun at kung pwde mahiram?haha... sa side ko, okay lang di ko na sabihin sa kanila na hiniram ko the long veil...haha

Hey Girls,

My Something Old- Would be my engagement ring (It makes it more special if it was an heirloom)
My Something New- Would be my wedding rings (Wedding since it is a new beginning for me and my h2b)
My Something Borrowed- Would be my wedding dress (i'm very practical, I don't want to spend so much on something imma for just a day or a few hours lang, come to think of it)
My Something blue- Would be my SHOES!!!! Blue Manolos ala Sex and the City!

Question: I want my wedding ring to be set with diamonds however my H2B wants something plain lang. I want my diamonds. Okay lang ba if we don't match?

^ Yes sis. It's okay. There are a number of us here whose wedding rings don't match. Me and my husband's one of them. I've got 2 5-stone rings which are stacked on my engagement ring, my husband's ring is a plain, wide band.

^Same here sis. Mine has 5 cut diamond while hubby's plain lang. Bihira ako makakita ng wedding bands sa lalaki na may diamonds.
