Hi everyone! I just signed up. I was browsing kasi reviews for BiyaheKo and the previous thread popped up.

I just started my home-based travel agency. I am looking kasi to partner with all-in one booking portals. Has anyone tried BiyaheKo? Please share your experience with them. Thanks!

Hi Sis. Welcome to the travel industry!
So far, wala pa naman akong kakilalang nagre reklamo with Biyahe Ko.  Try VIA.com for flights. It also offers booking for others such as hotels, packages, buses, etc. I suggest you also register with TA Centre (of Asiatravel.com pero ito naman for the public) and Bedsonline.  Yung TA Centre may flights din pero usually mas mahal. At least back-up for you since libre lang naman to be accredited.

Pero sis kung land arrangements, mas ok pa rin to go direct to tour operators. Mas ma-maximize mo kita mo tsaka in case of any problem or concern, diretso ka agad sa source.  Some tour operators also invite agents to their fam tours, usually pag may production na, and that's either free or minimal cost for you lang to travel.

Tapos kung accommodations lang i-book mo, go straight to the hotels and resorts. Request for contracted rates.  They'll just require you to send your permits.

I just finished attending seminars last week. I already have a certificate which I can use for when I apply for DOT accreditation. I plan to start this January. For now, I'll gather rates from hotels etc. lang muna and start looking for an IATA agency to tie up with.

i'm new here and have learned a lot regarding this kind of business from this and the other thread, but right now, i am just starting to work on the learning part. i tried to schedule on TRC for the Travel Agency Seminar that they have but unfortunately they said no one has signed up for it so they have to cancel it.

are there anyone here interested on taking up the Travel Agency Course too? if you do, please try and contact them and tell them that you're interested in taking up the Course so we could have a schedule earlier than next month. they said they could proceed with the sched if they get at least 3 persons to sign up.

it's really weird though since i've contacted most of the available Travel Agency Seminars going on and all of them are fully booked but on TRC, they don't have any takers. as far as i know, they're trainings were praised by other readers of this forum.

anyways, if you guys have any other suggestions about Trainings i could take, i would really appreciate it. i already tried and failed to get a schedule with: Asia Pacific, FETA, BusinessCoach... SMB theres an available spot i think but i'm worried about it being only like 5 hours long and costing like P20k. has anyone ever tried taking SMB seminars? if you have, tell me how is it please~

I suggest you attend TRC's seminar instead of attending seminars by travel agencies. You cannot use their certificate when applying for DOT accreditation. The speaker for TRC's seminar is a DOT-accredited speaker. When you finish the course in TRC (two modules) and his private course (two modules), you can get a travel business course certificate. And since he is DOT-accredited, you can use that certificate when you apply for DOT-accreditation.

My concern right now is if our city will allow me to run my travel agency as a home-based one.

^^hi newbie here. I've read a lot of good feedback of having TA. Please share what are possible problems TA might encounter. I have notes of what you've shared in putting up TA from thread 1 and here as well. Thank you for sharing your stories. I'm also planning to have one.

Hi!  Also a newbie here!  I'm trying to get into the Travel Agency business as well and this thread has helped A LOT!  I'd want to get my feet wet and would want to start it as sideline muna by January next year.

Question lang for those with online agency, hindi pa ba saturated yung market?

Also, has anyone tried attending yung trainings of Travel Depot?

I attended the Travel Depot seminar today. Consultant agencies sila. Is you want to be an affiliate you need to pay 300K. Namahalan ako Pero mag kakaron ka daw ng direct contact sa mga tour operators and GDS. Please help naman if meron pa ibang way on how to put the tracel agency. Ang worry ko kasi pano maka kuha ng mga direct suppliers:( IATA tie-up. etc.

Hi mga sis... Pabuhay naman po ng thread na ito.. Ang daming information kong nakukuha regarding setting up own travel agency...Ang tagal na rin nitong thread at sana nga mga naging successful na lahat ng mga nag business... Well, nag rereserach din po ako to start my own travel agency.. kahit ticketing muna..home based...As in start from scratch..wala pong mga business permits...kasi gusto ko muna ma sure lahat..

Nabasa ko yung VIA.,,Can anyone share po ng experience nila sa VIA...dun po sa email na sinend nila sa akin is 5k for activation and 1k for marketing kit...yun lang po ba ang babayaran dun? wala na po bang ibang sisingilin? limited din kasi yung pang puhunan ko...

or else po baka me mai suggest kayo sa kagaya ko na mag iistart pa lang ng travel business...

Hi girls! I'm also planning to put up an online travel agency. I have questions po.

1. Any feedback on SMB Travel? They offer travel agency business package.

2. How about Legend Express Travel? Same like SMB kaso ok ba service nila?

3. Un Summerset Travel nag offer din sa FB na business package na direct daw sa mga operators, hindi ka sub agent. Any feedback?

4. un Via Express na 10k package for travel agency, ok ba to?

Sisses, buhayin natin tong thread.. malapit na ko ma convince mag tayo ng travel agency. ang problema lang is hindi ko alam san ako mag seseminar.. yun worth it at may matutunan talaga.
