Hi Sis. After DTI, apply ka for business permit from city hall.  Then after that, makakapag tie-up ka although there are many agencies (especially IATA) na nire-require din na ipakita mo BIR registration.   Saang city magiging located ang agency mo?

Travel agencies get contracted rates from tour operators for these services.  Mas mababa ito sa published rates na nakikita ng public.

ahhh...ok. so if a travel agency will create a tour package, the agency will contact the tour operators, si tour operators na yung bahala sa mga land arrangements, and itineraries?

hotel accommodation + airfare + tour package (based on tour operator's rate + agency's mark-up) = total amount of package

Depende sa agency or sa situation, sis.  It can be different things depende kung ano ang kailangan ng client or kung ano ang gustong paraan ng agency.  In our case, we apply different ways depende kung ano ang makapag bibigay ng best value for the client.  May mga client kasi beyond the usual packages na nakikita ang gusto.

Some of the ways agencies do it:

*Full Package from Supplier (airfare, accommodation, transfers, tours) + Agency Mark-up

*Full Package from Supplier + Commission from Tour Operator

*Airfare (c/o agency's GDS or partner airline or IATA partner) + Land Arrangement from Tour Operator (accommodation, transfers, tours) + Agency Mark-up

*Airfare + Land Arrangement by the Agency itself (this is for agencies that are also tour operators) + Mark-up

Airfare + Land Arrangement from Booking Systems that can only be accessed by legit agencies + Agency Mark-up

hi sis. yung kumpleto ang permits: DTI Registration, Mayor's Permit, BIR Registration.  madami kasi DTI lang kukunin and then i-claim nila na "legit" na sila. kailangan complete. there are some places (e.g. Palawan) that requires all agencies to be accredited by DOT.

I like this especially nasa palawan kami daming turista dumadayo dito may mga tour and travel agency din dito maliliit lang office nila pwedeng pwede kong gawin to.. kaso wala akong idea.. gusto ko umattend ng seminar kung meron magpapaseminar dito..

Magsstart ako training dito sa SMB sa october.. I hope all goes well mukhang ok yung business package. Kaso sabi skin hindi sila IATA agency and affiliate lang daw mngyyre sakin.. Tanong ko lang pag ganon ba pano ako makikipagtie-up sa IATA agency? Pero meron naman sila ibbgay na access para makita ko airline fares, hotel booking and meron din daw domestic and international tour packages, pati nso, visa and passport processing covered daw sa seminar.. Reading the other thread and this one about sa pagtayo ng travel agency ang dami palang aasikasuhin.. Medyo kinabahan tuloy Ako. May nakapagtraining na ba dito sa SMB?

mga sis pag may nagpa book ng tickets sainyo paano presentation ng tickets sa client? para hindi nila makita yung amount? example may nagpa book sa akin via online lang ako magbook ng tiket nila, ano ibibigay ko sa kanila yung galing lang din sa airline company or copy the Itinerary tapos paste ko sa company letterhead lang?  thanks

mas maganda kung meron ka sariling letterhead for the tickets. copy paste lang naman yun. at the same time naipropromote mo pa yung agency mo.

mas mainam mag focus sa tour packaging.

I attended a seminar madami ako natutunan and I want to start na since my mga booking na ko pero garbe na initial to puta up hay 238k wow

Got my DTI na rin then next is mayors permit I started to email na for affiliate sa malalaking travel agency then my naserach din ako supplier or tour operator local in PP. Training din ako sa SMB since para sa mga join tours pwede ko offer sa client. Then gusto ko rin gumawa ng sarili tour package ko base sa local tour operator ng place

Binasa ko yung previous thread and parang mas naging interested akong mag-put up ng travel agency. Pero siguro I will start lang muna with ticketing services baka kasi ma-overwhelm ako tsaka I plan to attend seminars lang muna para at least dagdag knowledge. Hirap naman kasi if di ko alam pinapasukan ko, diba? I'll research lang muna and feed my brain with necessary information about this business pero sa mga sis dyan na may travel agency, share din naman ng tips para sa mga katulad kong interested. ^^

Ok lang naman ilagay ulit yung logo ng airlines below yung letterhead nyo. Pero yung ibang agencies kase yung details ng flight na lang nakalagay. Yun naman importante kase dun.
