Hi sissies! I'm a newbie here in GT but I've been lurking to different posts here for a couple of weeks already.  I am a March 2016 bride and we chose Fernwood Gardens as our venue. Any Fernwood Gardens brides here? (both previously and prospectively). Share naman ng experiences nyo and suppliers details. Thank you and Happy preps mga sissies!

hi sis! im not a fernwood bride but i've attended a wedding here and another friend is planning a wedding in this venue.

based on experience, mainit sa fernwood. it was a summer wedding and gabi yung reception. sobrang init. the guests were all pawis. bride had to apologize to everyone pero wala naman magagawa. we still stayed though. inconvenient lang kasi natatanggal na mga makeup and paypay galore. aside from that, the venue was really beautiful. hindi na kailangan ng stylist. her caterer was KbyC but she had to pay extra kasi hindi accredited.

my friend naman who's planning a wedding here said tatadtarin niya ng aircon para hindi mainitin ang guests

ceremony started at 3 or 4pm ata then reception followed. yes may kasabay siyang wedding but we didn't hear them naman. mind you sis ha, they did have air coolers. when most of the guests left, tinutok namin yung 3 air coolers sa table namin pero sobrang init pa rin! i dont know but maybe there's something about the weather that day.

This was one of the venues we were looking at initially, garden venue na malapit kc hanap namin. Pero buti nalang nakapunta kami na may event dun, nalaman namin na super init! As in sweating, dripping, uncomfortably humid, di pa kami nakagown and suit niyan. Wala kasing aircon and they can only offer extra air coolers (for a fee). We considered tadtadrin ng air coolers pero if we placed about 15-20 then kita na sya sa lahat ng pictures.. not acceptable. Also didn't like how it looked at night esp sa amateur pictures ng mga guests, mukhang gubat kasi. Maganda sya sa morning though, green talaga, pero i didnt wanna make my guests uncomfortable, if they are they wont notice na how nice the place is. December wedding ako but someone told me kahit December mainit dun. Maybe you can look at aircon rentals (totoong aircon na not air coolers, kasi kulang talaga yun saka nakakasipon for guests).
Meron silang accredited caterers pero the weird thing is mas mahal yung prices nung caterers na yun by about 100-200php/head compared to if you had a different venue and same menu. Limited rin ang layout options kasi may venues sila na irregularly shaped kaya kailangan round tables, or may mga poste sa gitna that block view. Masikip sya for 200 or more guests.

If there's anything we liked about this place, mura kasi niya. Haha. But we eventually moved the wedding to Tagaytay, to a real garden so we didnt have to worry about the heat. We also calculated the menu difference and decided to put it towards a better venue.

Nakapunta ako Fernbrook after, the place (the entrance palang) is so grand and way better considering the formal attire of guests for a wedding kasi aircon sya.

^hi sis sparklingjewel ahh ako naman bet ko yung night shots na nakikita ko sa fb page nila. ang enchanting tignan nung place.. about humidity naman, march next year ang wedding namin and evening reception so di pa naman siguro kasukdulan ng init. haha. pero may friend ako na dun din ang wedding venue sa december so makakapag benchmark ako kung ano pa dapat gawin para maimprove. di ko nga din bet yung layout ng ibang venue nila kasi may nakaharang kaya dun kami sa fernwood 1, dun sa may mahabang stairs para maluwag tignan at may grand entrance.

about sa price, I don't think mura sya considering na venue only costs 100k plus na ang dami pang add-ons kasi venue alone lang talaga yun. good thing nakakuha kami ng 10% discount pero ang mahal pa din.. iniisip ko nga sana nag tagaytay wedding na lang kami baka mas nakamura pa.. pero solve na din ako dahil di na mahihirapan yung mga guests ko since ang ceremony and reception ay nasa iisang venue at covered pa.. alam mo naman ang weather kasi ngayon sobrang unpredictable kahit summer umuulan. hehe.

and base naman sa mga feedbacks from real fernwood brides sa w@w, positive naman mostly so medyo panatag naman ako. ang issue ko lang ngayon dun is yung sa chapel, di daw kasi pwede ang personal vows pero good thing na pwede naman magdala ng preferred mong officiating priest kaya maghahanap pa kami.

^Really sis pano naging 100k venue only? When i inquired Sept last year it was only 60k for the most expensive venue na, thats why i said it was cheap. So hindi na pala. I think 100k is too much for what it offers, honestly and yes considering all the add-ons you still need (such as air coolers) na unnecessary naman in other venues. Sobra naman sila magtaas. But with the extra budget we got from the menu difference and what was supposed to be put towards air coolers, makaka-afford na kami ng 100k venue.
Be careful nalang sa ventilation talaga kasi the event we went to was mga October and yes it was still sweaty and sticky, sa lagay na yun konti lang ng tao pa sa venue.

^100k plus including vat sis. but since we got a 10% discount, mga 90 plus na lang inc. vat.. oo nga grabe magtaas ang wedding services in just a span of ilang months lang :/ yes sis, will take note of that ventilation issue talaga kaya nga evening reception pinili namin though ang laki sana ng tipid kung morning..

yes sis, wala silang chapel for now pero they are working on it na daw. waiting nalang ng approval from the bishop.

Hi sis, share ko lang.. Fernwood Gardens Tagaytay is now open na. I saw some wedding setup na around their facebook and some weddings blogs na may pictures of setup. The last time I call their office, may ginagawa pang some place inside the venue, as of now, yan palang ata yung gawa and available for weddings.

Fernwood Tagaytay bride here. They told me most if not all of the construction will be done by end of March 2016 since someone will be renting all the venues.  But they've had events there already. I hope everything will be complete when I get married last sat. of November :-p

Yes sis! I was there last December, near Christmas. Ginagawa pa, but a lot nicer than when I first went there a month previous.  I was with my future in laws last November, and kahit not complete yet, impressive because they really liked it.

^shopaholic - went there 2 days ago and gawa na yung vivaldi hall. I'm excited na... they told me that the whole place will be finished by april 2016. though may add ons pa rin daw na idadagdag since ilang hectares palang ang nagagamit nila.

Sis ayouweinlove, I saw the photos from the weddings held there last weekend. Maganda Na! Nag book ka na ba? But the rates are a lot higher now than when we booked.
