Hello!
I just wanted to create this thread for all the sisters out there who are Born-Again. I just got baptized last January. I hope this thread will allow us to share our personal experiences and stories together.

Being Born again is not a religion. It's being born in the spirit. Having a relationship with God.

^I agree.  This is not a religion but a state of christianity.  you have been born again, as I quote in 2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

I am a Born Again Christian. Will be forever grateful for the gift of Salvation and Eternal Life. This is our own decision when we let Jesus enter our hearts and changed us for the better.

I studied in a all girls exclusive school Catholic school, my parents and sisters are Catholics, but it seems to me I am more looking for a closer relationship with God not the type of praising na memorize ang mga pag kasunod sunod na gagawin sa simbahan, then have to worship statue, hindi ako comfortable kahit nung Catholic pa ako.

When I met my boyfriend dati now hubby sinasama ako sa church nila Baptist and this is the kind of relationship that I want to have with God.  Prayer is really praying and talking to your Father and the salvation is the best thing i learned and receive from Christianity more than anything else.

Naka attend na ko before my friend brought me in their church. Ang holy ng place nakakaiyak. Ramdam mo talaga yung presence ni God.

Hi mga sis nice to be here..If there's one thing in my life that I will never regret and will be forever grateful was, becoming a born again .Nung hindi ko pa naiintindihan dati what's it like being a born again I have to admit that jinujudge ko talaga mga kakilala kong christians tipong puro lord lord , till I had a turning point in my life na feeling ko dead end na and all I can do is seek God lahat nag 360 degrees turn.. Little did I know that I was spirituality hungry, scarce and when I opened my heart mind and everything lahat sinurrender ko sa kanya everything went well sa buhay ko without me having any effort na ausin buhay ko... And even now nasa super rough challenge ako and testing ni God i know in His time magiging ok din lahat in Jesus name ☺

I accepted Jesus as my savior dahil sabi Niya sa John 14:6 - I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but by Me.

sabi rin Niya sa John 3:3 - except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God. bale na born again ako sa spiritu at katotohanan ng papasukin ko si Jesus sa buhay ko. by religion I am catholic and by faith, I am follower of Jesus.

It's not the religion exactly but our relationship with Jesus. We are not deserving, we are sinners in nature. Though we are sinners, Jesus sacrificed himself on the cross to save us. He didn't chose one, He chose us ALL. We just have to accept His gift of salvation by accepting as personal Lord and Savior.

I remember the story of a Samaritan woman. Samaritans do not associate with Jews as they despise Samaritans. But she is not just a simple Samaritan, she was rejected by her own race, many would think that she is immoral, an unmarried woman who had five husbands and living with the sixth who is not her husband too.

from John 14:
Jesus said to her, “You are right when you say you have no husband. 18 The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true.”

Jesus approached, talked and taught her. At that time, no Jew will do that but Jesus did.
No condemnation but salvation. Jesus wants to establish a relation to us, we just have to welcome and accept Him.

Catholic ako before pero marami ako questions like yung mga santo, bakit need ko mag confess sa pari etc.

2003 i attended JIL worship service dun na open at nagstart mga tanong ko sa religion.  December 2015 until now every sunday JIL na ako nag service di pa ako na baptism may sched pa lang na inaayos pero I accepted Jesus Christ as my savior and ang pinakamahalaga yung personal relationship with God.  No religion can save you yun ang paniniwala ko.

Once na na accept mo Sya gusto mo lahat ng family member even friends mo isama mo for salvation nila.  True na walang Christians na sobrang bait o walang kasalanan.  Kaibahan lang may conviction na ng Holy Spirit pag nakakagawa ka ng mali o gagawa ka pa lang ng mali.

True sis hindi ibig sabihin that you are always going to church every sunday and prayer meeting this does not mean that you never sin.

Always remember that church is not a museum for saints but a hospital for sinners.

I am a Catholic but have attended Born Again fellowships, read Born Again books and blogs, have relatives and friends who are Born Again, i find that parehas naman ang tinuturo whether Catholic or Born Again.😀 I don't find them substantially different when it comes to teachings kasi same Bible albeit may additional chapters sa Catholic version.

Worshipping statues is not a Catholic doctrine. If anyone does this, mali yan and we should correct our fellow Catholics. Statues are present as symbols lang, but not to be worshipped. Ang mahirap kasi sa majority of Catholics, ginagaya natin ang ginagawa ng iba (usually ng mas matatanda) and presume na ito ang official doctrine ng Catholic Church which is hindi naman. Madami sa matatanda did not receive formal education regarding Catholic teachings, hindi din nagattend ng catechism or read the bible. And ginagaya lang nila nakikita sa iba, tapos they pass these practices down to their children. Yun mga priests din kulang ng instructions sa atin kaya madami hindi na-cocorrect. Yun lang po.😀

thank you sa tips sis purple_tips. ito ang isa sa best explanation about Catholics na hindi naiintindihan ng ibang religion. I admit madami talagang pagkukulang ang simbahan sa pagpapaliwanag sa mga brethren lalo na nun unang panahon kaya nadala pa din hanggang sa ngayon yung mga maling practices. pero if you go deeper sa tunay na katuruan ng katoliko halos walang pinagkaiba yun sa ibang mga Christian religion.

sana sis yung mga question mo na yan tinanong mo sa parish priest kasi higit kanino pa man sa mga pastors, leader ng chrush etc. sila ang makakasagot sa tanong mo.
