Our venue charges P350 per head for 2 hours, unlimited beer, wine, aerated drinks and 2 types of cocktails. Wala pang food - if we want food it goes up to P450 a head and the food is only peanuts and chips. Is that reasonable?

I'm still canvassing prices if we do merienda. If it will be cheaper. Kasi we have to rent the church hall - not yet sure how much that will be. Pero we want to serve street food like fishballs, ice cream and gulaman.

My H2B gave me na the full amount for the wedding. I'm looking at the money in the bank and nanghihinayang akong gastusin. I keep on thinking downpayment na for another condo unit yung amount.

^^ayun pa pala, mobile bar. We DIYed ours. Bumili lang kami ng local beer and some hard drinks para sa mga older guests. I think less than 5k nagastos namin dito, overflowing na.

^How many guests did you have Sis Simang? 5k for a DIY mobile bar is so sulit! Isang keg lang yan ng beer at 50L.

Di ko gets bakit kailangan ng mobile bar... don't you serve alcohol during reception?

Kasi ang plan ko is to just keep on serving wine through the evening kahit during the dancing.

^Sis meron kasi guests na prefer ang beers or cocktail drinks. hehe. Although for me, i'll be serving one bottle of wine per table for the toast and then yung draft beer na. Mostly naman yung men hindi nagwwine.

We're serving beer din during dinner and after. So alcohol is to be served with dinner.

Tagal ko ng di nakaka attend ng wedding sa Pilipinas.

Kami naman, we have Mobile Bar for the guests (lalo na yung mga guests na ka-age namin, they prefer beer and cocktail). But opulent wine will be served for the ones in VIP table (and the oldies).

Dito kami nakatipid:. Total Price of 19000 for Gowns: 3 SS, 3 BM, 1 MOH, 3 Flowergirls and 1 Mother.

^re: alcohol...a bottle of wine for the toast lang. daytime ang wedding namin and also di rin kami mahilig uminom so aside from the toast, hindi kami nagserve ng alcohol. but free flowing naman ang raspberry tea tsaka coffee.

^ We have a daytime wedding too and I was wondering if it's alright nga to not serve alcohol. Personally kasi I don't enjoy drinking, but I was worried na baka our guests might be expecting booze (although do people really want to be drunk in the middle of the day?).

I think if afternoon wedding ok lang. Maybe champagne and sangria/cocktails na lang.

We are only serving wine and beer. Wala ng spirits. Mahal kasi masyado if we serve spirits pa. If they want spirits, they can order at the bar and pay for it.

^I'll also be providing wine for the toast lang. Hahah. ang then planning on 1-2 bottles of beer each or 1 50L keg ng SMB if available siya. 5 hours lang yung venue namin so ayoko magprovide ng amraming drinks.baka magtagal sila hahaahah

Isa sa nilet go namin is strings which we are happy we did. Hindi naman sya ganon ka big impact and we enjoyed pa din the music. I just made a complete playlist and endorsed it sa coord. Yung budget don napunta sa lechon at dessert buffet. 😁

1. Wedding gown - paid 4k for this; local seamstress, pinagaya ko lang yung design na gusto ko.
2. Shoes - divi; php500
3. Rings - Ongpin; forgot how much exactly but less than 10k
4. Photo - we only got service (15k), no prints/albums. Album namin ako na nag layout sa photobook, paid 1.7k for it.
5. Invitation - ako naglayout, bought some props in dangwa; sa office pa ko nagprint. lol. kami ni husband ang nag-assemble lahat.
6. Souvenirs - wala kaming souvenirs for the guests. For the sponsors, my parents paid for their souvenirs.
7. Groomsmen outfit - kanya kanya. Bowtie and suspenders lang prinovide namin.
8. Bridesmaids' dresses - 800 each for their maxi skirt; rtw lace top from divi; strappy flats from an IG shop
9. Cake - one layer 8" lemon cake; 3 dozens of jco donuts
10. Bridal car - sa ate ko
11. LCD projector - sa office ng tatay ko :P
12. Prenup - DIY everything. venue and food lang ginastos namin. No stylist, no HMUA, just us and the photographers.
13. No stylist din. We relied on our caterer and lights supplier. Since outdoor reception kami very important for us ang lights, and we weren't disappointed. Ganda ng purple lights sa mga puno by the pool

Your wedding will be my reference for mine someday! :) Hindi halatang tipid!

Mga pwede tipirin base on our experience

1. Cake - ours were from Goldilocks (was very pretty & yummy)
2. Shoes - bought mine at SM
3. Barong Tagalogs - bought them sa Batangas (forgot na exactly where)
4. HMU - hired the one who?s working at the salon sa kanto namin (and was well recommended)
5. Rings - bought ours sa Ongpin
6. Souvenirs - DIY
7. Invitation - recto (?)
8. Bridal car - nothing fancy
9. Host - didn?t hire a professional
10. NO mobile bar, photobooth, prenup pics, event stylist, wedding/otd coordinator.

That?s what i can remember so far.
Enjoy the process but don?t stress too much on details na hindi naman mapapansin or even remember after the wedding after 1, 5, 10, 15, 25, 35, 50 years! 😄

Cheers B2Bs!!!

It all boils down naman on what your budget is and what you're willing to spend and splurge on. Iba-iba naman tayo ng mga non negotiables. Medyo ngayon lang kasi may pinterest, instagram kaya nagkakaroon ng madaming wants na hindi naman need, bride-envy, unrealistic expectations and yung mentality na "once lang ako ikakasal" kaya all out na. Bottom line and the most important part of it all naman is the union in front of God. All else are wants but not needs.
That being said, sa amin naman, when naging kami I kinda knew he was it so I started saving up for it and didnt have big ticket purchases. And sya rin naman pala did the same so when he proposed, we had stable jobs and kinda ready na din with our savings. Pero syempre may max budget/allotment pa rin per supplier rin kasi costs can easily balloon if not budgeted.

Stuff we chose to spend on:
Food/catering (hungry guests and bad food lead to irate guests and irate guests will only remember the bad experience they had sa wedding)
Photography, videography (important ang documentation ng day)
venue, emcee

Stuff we chose to scrimp on:
Dress (sorta high end but not top tier however still does good work and good work ethics)
Florist/event stylist (local flowers only...exagg yung difference if imported flowers gamit and not really environmentally friendly if mag iimport pa...plus di naman nakakain yung flowers)
Invitations
Guests (meaning hindi sya town fiesta ie less guests, less gastos and of course invite only those important to us)
Coordinator (i didnt get full coordination so effort with the errands even if we work full time but kaya naman)
Bridal car rental (a gift)
Mobile bar (again a gift)
HMUA (a friend of mine who does make up professionally and gift din nya yung services nya)
Cake (as guests, does anyone actually remember the wedding cake?)
Souvenirs (sa totoo lang nakatambak lang mga keepsake na wedding souvenirs from previous wedding i attended. As a guest, I prefer consumable items like food or toiletries and will be giving away such)

What we did without:
Prenup stylist (prenup still not done yet but we have a schedule na. I'll be styling myself and my fiancee with stuff we have in our closet. Also, couturier was kind enough to lend me a dress at no extra cost)

In a sea of beautiful and extravagant weddings, it can sometimes be so tempting to want to be at par with the trends. I found that challenging when my fiance and I were on the early part of planning for our wedding, lalo na I work in the industry as well as a supplier. Parang there's that pressure na you have to get this and that but we reminded ourselves of why we're getting married--it isn't to show off but because we are committing our lives together to the Lord and in the presence of those who are near and dear to us, those who have become part talaga of our relationship.

So far, ito yung mga natipid namin ni fiance:
1) Bridal Gown - I am not a fan of spending six digits on a single gown that I can only wear for one event and end up in storage at aamagin. Gusto ko yung the more na magamit ko siya, the better. I'm grateful that my designer Johanna Bespoke specializes in multi-wear gowns.
2) Souvenirs - I like DIY! Although ma-trabaho, it makes it more meaningful and special. Just takes a lot of creativity and knowing where to source your materials.
3) Cake - we just availed of the inclusion in our caterer package. We don't need a big cake naman.
4) Styling - While it's very nice to have a beautifully-styled venue, we both realized that it's not the flowers or the decorations that should be the focus but our wedding day. We're just happy that the package we got from our caterer included na the styling and it looks nice and neat naman. Not bongga, but elegant.
5) Invitations - Let's face it Girltalkers--what do you do with invitations once the event is done? :) Ako kasi na-sstore lang and it becomes kalat. :( Buti na lang fiance also feels the same way. We're doing digital invites na lang. :)
6) Groom's Attire - same din with me. He wants to be able to wear it multiple times and not just a one time big time event.
7) Entourage Attire - If bride is wearing a multi-wear gown, I of course encourage my entourage to wear something they can wear more than 3-5 times! :D

So far that's it. Hope I was able to help out. Thanks for sharing din girls.

Hindi na din pala kami nag-bridal car! Ceremony and reception will be in the same place naman. I thought nga "Yeah it would be nice to have a bridal car photo..." pero kung photo at photo lang din, aba we'll just borrow a nice car and take a photo! Haha!

We also didn't splurge on pre-nup photos. We realized we have a lifetime to make beautiful memories together and for me that's more special. :)
