My list of nice to haves but unnecessary; where you can cut cost (at least, that's what we did)
1. Super expensive cakes
our cake was Goldilocks. they have fondant cakes for weddings & it's yummy.
2. Super expensive HMUA
really i don't get this...is the rate of the hmua directly proportional to how beautiful the bride will be? Lol
3. Event Stylist
caterers do styling and arrangement naman kahit simple lang ok na
4. Coordinator/ OTD
my hubby did all the coordinating himself. excited lang
5. Invitation, Souvenir, Bridal Car
DIYs, borrowed car
6. Super expensive Rings
again, the price of the rings don't determine how strong the marriage is going to be, it's the couple wearing them. we got ours at ongpin.
7. Photobooth, candy buffet (?), mobile bar, wedding day gift to each other
we didn't have those.
8. Emcee/ Host
my sis & hubby's cousin - free of course
9. Super expensive wedding gown
i find it impractical to spend sooo much on something only worn once. mine was 12k namahalan pa ako nyan but didn't have a choice cause i was an OFW bride & it's the groom doing everything so OO na lang ako ....& i only saw my gown on the day itself!
It's different sa pinagawa ko, it's VERY simple,
But everybody was complimenting how radiant & beautiful bride i was, (& i was wearing a simple gown & make-up only) ....
My conclusion? The price tags of everything doesn't really matter... At the end of the day, everybody's happy because two people in love got married. it's your union, the marriage, that is what's important.
You're getting married not to impress others..those who have complaints or reklamo are usually not that close sa mga kinasal, anyway. So i hope you budget well prepare more on what's After the wedding.
Good luck B2Bs!
