Mga bagay na pwede tipirin sa kasal

Kami naman nag usap na wag na kami mag bigayan ng regalo sa kasal kasi magmumukhang scripted eh hindi kami marunong umarte. Hahaha.. Pero ako meron ako ginagawang journal ng everyday thing na ginagawa niya for me na super naappreciate ko. Kasama ko pa siya nung bumili ako ng notebook. Akala niya journal for office ko lang. Hindi niya alam para sa kaniya yun. Hahahhaa.. And I want it to be captured in video.

Same tayo sis. May title pa ko sa journal ko lol. Since last year kinocompile ko na sya. Di ko pa sure if ibibigay ko sya before or after ng wedding. Kung before kasi hindi naman nya din mababasa agad.

Ano girls POV niyo sa gown if 2 beses isusuot? We will have a traditional wedding this May. Naka Muslim gown ako nun, iniisip ko if yun na rin isuot ko sa wedding namin sa October para tipid na. Kaya lang naisip ko makikita ng guests na uulitin ko yun gown kasi ippresent namin sa wedding yun SDE ng May wedding namin.

1. Flowers : I went for Dangwa Florist . 14k all-in yung nagastos ko for this. church and entou na yun
2. Bridal car: c/o my package with my caterer (Ibarra's Garden)

7. Bridal Shoes: 1k lang..sale sa mall (gibi)
8. Makeup c/o Anne Garcia> biruin nyu 8k with airbrush makeup plus 2 heads na yun.Pero superb yung naging work nya

^^ sis blackgreen if i had 2 weddings ill definitely wear 2 gowns. siguro ill splurge on the other one then tipid nalang yung isa, kahit divi or rtw na mura. sayang kasi yung chance to wear a wedding gown twice. but that's just me if you're not comfortable spending on two gowns, i think that's okay too. dont worry too much about what other people would think of your gown, as long as they see you happy wearing it, carry lang.

i'm planning to wear the same gown and accessories for our 2 wedding celebrations. i like the idea that there's a continuity in the celebrations through my gown and accessories. i'll also be using my bouquet and shoes thrice, i used them during our civil wedding and i'll also use them in our church wedding and then our little celebration in my husband's hometown.

Thanks mga sis! Yun gown lang talaga iniisip ko. Pag isipan ko mabuti. Tsaka depende pa yun kung magustuhan ko yun hitsura ng gown ko sa 1st wedding, family ni h2b kasi nagpagawa nun hiningian lang ako ng sukat so di ko alam kung magugustuhan ko.

hi mga sis. im just a newbie on this site so medyo nangangapa pa ako..

Im getting married na kasi this june, just a civil wedding, very simple lang [textspeak!] gusto namin and just want to ask lang sana kung ano pinaka affordable  na restaurant within rizal area , around 20-30k lang kasi budget namin for reception.

to answer the original post:

Me naka tipid ako sa floral decoration ko sa church kasi nung time na kinasala ako yun yung month of Mama Mary kaya daming flowers sa church. And ganda ganda ng Manaoag church that time. Specially the altar kung saan naka upo kami ni hubby kay super tipid ganda sa picture and video. Na swertehan namin. And sinabi sakin ng church na no need mag lagay ng flowers at that time.

this is my list of things na pwedi tipidin sa mga kasal.
1. INVITATION: Simple invitation will do pero dapat hindi tacky ha.
2. Wedding cake: if you don't have plan na ipakain sa mga guest yung cake nyo, ok lang kahit di special basta maganda ang looks at mukang malaki lang habol mo eh OK na. Pag masarap kasi ang cake mo eh doon nag mamahal.
3. Wedding souvenirs: Its a NO NO mag bigay ng souvenirs namay picture kayo... They will not keep it kahit na bestfriends pa kayo. Aminin girls! So go for something that they can used or pweding e display na pweding mura lang. Sample: MUG with a nice qoutes/message without your face ha. Or an angel figurine. Kahit hindi Catholics will definitely appreciate it. Dami nyan sa Divisoria.
4. Gowns ng Maids and Flower girls: Well im talking about the garments but not the design. Maraming Magandang design at pagkakatahi pero cheap lang ang tela nya. 
5. Venue: Well this one kasi depende sa location mo. Sample: If sa province ka at limited ang choices mo of venue, sa caterer at mag aayos ng venue ka mag kakatalo.

List of This na di pweding tipirin:
1. Make up artist.... no further explanation needed. Pero marami naman make up artist na nag bibigay ng resonable price lalo na package it with a video coverage.
2. Video and picture coverage: Eto ang pa ulit ulit mo titignan at papanooring at eto ang magiging memory lane mo kaya be sure na maganda at marunong at experts talaga yung kukunin mo dito. Di pwedi ang mga amature. Be sure na may list of sequence ka ng dapat at gusto mong makuha at ma record. Dina na kasi mauulit eto...dapat sure ka that sorry.
3. Food: They will remember you pag di masarap ang food sa kasal mo tandaan moyan. Obvious na nag tipid ka pag food ang tinipid mo. It a NO NO NO!
4. GIFT SA MGA NINONG and NINANG: Of course naman. They will always cherish you pag nag bigay ka ng something special for them. They will not forget you PROMISED!
5. GIFT SA PARENTS NYO... Eto ba anamn eh titipirin mo...Magulang moyan!

i heard a similar story as yours sis.. there was this couple  na ikakasal din tapos nagkataon shooting sa church starring coco martin and julia montes, and wedding din nila sa isang teleserye so hindi na inalis ang mga flowers kaya super ganda ng church decorations and styling nila, i forgot where i read that pero it really happened.

I remember it na.. hindi ko pala ito nabasa, nakwento sa akin ng friend ko.  "walang hanggan" na teleserye. i have a colleague who got married in dec 2012 sa san agustin church.. parang nag iinquire ata sila non sa church then may ongoing wedding, ang ganda daw sobra ng styling then they were told na kakatapos lang ng shooting sakto may wedding after hindi na tinanggal yung mga flowers. edi sobrang ganda talaga. yun talagang tipid at swerte pa hahaha!!

Eto yung mga natipid ko during my wedding last year:

1. Invitation - dapat DIY lang to pero wala akong ka art-art sa katawan kaya di ko ma push ang gusto kong DIY haha. Nakahanap kami ng supplier sa recto... 3500 lang lahat ng invites kasama na shipping fee. email lang kami nag uusap. sinesend lang yung samples sa email. Simple lang naman yung invite namin kaya siguro madali lang naman gawin at di ganon kamahal.

2. Cake - One layer lang yung cake at pinacustomized lang namin yung cake topper. Instead na 3-layer cake, isa lang with 100 pcs of cupcakes. Mas kinuha pa ng mga guests yung cupcake. Yung cake mga oldies lang kumain at di pa naubos.

3. Shoes - binili ko during sale, at yung pwedeng gamitin after kasal.

4. Gown - kumuha ako ng design na gusto ko at pinatahi ko sa family friend na mananahi talaga ng gown. 30K lang lahat.

5. Flowers - nakatipid ako kasi kasama na to sa venue.. sila na nagprovide ng flowers from their own garden.

6. Mobile bar - wala kami nito so laking tipid... nagdala lang kami ng hard drinks, no beer... para mas mabilis tamaan ang guests haha.

Marami pa akong matitipid kasi sinagot ng ibang friends ko yung ibang stuff like photobooth na gift ng kapatid ko, giveaways regalo naman ng isang friend, bridal car naman c/o SIL.
Dahil sa mga natipid ko, kaya nagka budget ako for styling na mid-range lang... para sa couple's backdrop & mga konting accents lang...

couple's seat - inarkila ko lang yung chair and table,ako na bahala sa abubot na puro origami lang . eh yung origami nagagaw ko habang nanonood ng series.Iguana skiless lang ang peg ko : one eye sa tv, one eye sa paper

invitation - Hindi ko ito DIY, pero kinontian ko ..dahil  hindi naman lahat na-appreciate ang invitation na ginawa, tingin lang sa date/time at design tas wala na

shoes - simple shoes lang pinili  ko, worth 300 pesos at nilagyan ko lang ng konting accesories, so unique na sya

mga tinipid namin sa kasal:

lahat ng freebies ng caterer, inavail namin. which means hindi na kami naging choosy sa:
1) cake
2) bridal car
3) emcee
4) table cards
5) styling (medyo basis pero maganda pa rin kinalabasan

hindi na rin kami nageffort pagdating sa mga stuff na kelangan sa church like:
1) soloist and pianist (mas okay ang live as opposed to usb/cd and cheaper as opposed to hiring a choir)
2) flowers (sa totoo lang, hindi naman sha napapansin)

wala kaming live band kasi morning wedding naman kami. nakasave lang lahat ng playlist sa mga cds/usb. ang live entertainment lang namin is nung may pinakanta kaming friend.

wala rin kaming drapes which would have cost us around 12k. blessing in disguise na hindi na kami inallow ng venue to have a super early ingress.

wala kaming souvenirs. photobooth lang meron kami. parang wala naman kaming narinig sa guests. basta okay ang food, happy sila.

still contemplating kung titipirin namin sa kasal:

1) choir/strings/live band - we want to get this particular band for the reception but they can't play sa church so we have to get a separate choir or strings for that. it will be cheaper to just get strings that can play both sa church and reception.

2) lights and sounds - kind of related to #1. if we dont get a band, we don't need high end band equipment riders from our L&S supplier.

3) rings - we want to get platinum rings since its more bagay to the design that we want. it can be cheaper to get white gold rings instead.

4) bridal car - there's a "vintage" car included in our caterer's package.

for these 4 items alone, we can already save 100k. wants vs needs lang talaga.

After weeks of deliberation, we have finally decided na tipirin ang mga sumusunod
1. decorations sa reception - we will go for non floral decors. We'll be spending 5K vs. 35K ng floral decors. Maiuuwi pa namin after wedding. 
2. bridal car - di na masyado importante. as long as maihahatid kami sa church, pwede na
3. shoes - mura lang. di na kailangan i-personalize
4. mood light - we were able to save 5K for this.
5. souvenirs - no need. simple photobooth pwede na.

3) rings - we want to get platinum rings since its more bagay to the design that we want. it can be cheaper to get white gold rings instead.

Sis, you might want to think about this and consult with an expert. Platinum rings are much harder than gold. If you want or need to have your rings adjusted or modified in the future, I was told many jewellers refuse to do this with platinum. Gold is actually softer and easier to work with.

Just something to think about again, better still to ask an expert before making your decision.

^ thanks for the tip sis! we asked a couple of jewelers sa bridal fair and sabi nga platinum rings can only be adjusted mga half inch ata. usually imported din ang platinum rings so mas mahirap icustomize yung design unlike gold. ang dami nga namin friends from bulacan na nagooffer ng white gold rings, pero d pa kami makapagcommit.
