Just got back from HK. Daming sale, shopping galore! Hoarded makeup sa Bonjour, I found cheaper items here than Sasa. Etude House items are less than HKD90, travel size Shiseido and Laneige around HKD50-60, tapos may nabili pa ako Shiseido blotting powder HKD19 lang haha eto 'yung hinoard ko talaga.

Sa CityGate naman, the Nike, Adidas and NB stores found along TST and Mongkok are almost the same prices din sa outlet kaya 'di ko ito masyado pinansin but in 10th Avenue much much cheaper talaga. Melissa flats are around HKD270-360, Toms shoes HKD270-500, New Balance HKD300-500, Crocs for adults HKD290, and Lacoste shoes HKD250 lang. I also saw some Geox and Rockport shoes on sale din but I didn't check na kasi mostly casual shoes lang hanap ko.

Sulit na sulit talaga ko sa shopping haha.

Ok ba na mag hop on hop off na lang kami? Wala kaming itinerary as in except for macau on 1st (whole) day then on 2nd day sa big buddha, yun lang. E kung mag hop on hop off kaya kami? Madaanan kaya namin yung mga places to see talaga? We're after sight seeing. Walang space for shopping at tinamad ang magaling kong asawa magdala ng checked baggage

Not sure lang abt sa hop on-hop off kasi puro MTR kami hehe.

^ We got the quadruple room for HKD600 and felt like we got more than what we paid for. I was expecting super liit na room but keri naman. Rooms were cleaned and towels were changed every day. Meron din TV, telephone, toilet paper, hair dryer, shampoo, liquid soap, and mugs for drinks. Super helpful the water dispenser with hot/cold water, refill na lang kami ng refill before going out kasi ang mahal nang bottled water sa HK.

The best part for me was pagbaba ng GC, Bonjour and Sasa na.

I booked empire hotel too. Nag hahanap din ako ng reviews about sakanila. Hopefully okay naman.

^medyo ang daming nega reviews sa empire hotel. nasa list ko din siya dati inalis ko tuloy. Finally booked a hotel. I will be staying at Butterfly in Morrison near causeway bay station. Pero August pa travel namin. excited lang ako magbook dahil summer vacation ng karamihan.

^Share sis ng nega reviews hehe para may idea lang ako. Pwede ko pa kasi i cancel ang booking. haha! Nag basa naman ako ng reviews sa booking dot com so far okay naman may mga minimal nega reviews pero keri na siguro.

^check mo sis sa trip advisor. more on madumi daw kasi yung reviews eh. i usually rely on tripadvisor on reviews kaysa sa agoda and booking.

mga sis 8:25 am flight namin from hongkong to manila. sa cosmic guesthouse kami stay. so dapat mga 2-3 hours before flight nasa airport na kami. anung pwede namin sakyan ng ganito kaaga to make sure na hindi kami maiiwan ng flight? thanks.

^ AFAIK the MTR starts operating 6AM.

^oh my, ano kaya pwede ko alternative? punta ng airport a night before? or magbook na lang ng other flight pauwi? please help me mga sisses.

^ Sis feeling ko okay lang sa 6AM trip nakasakay na kayo, basta make sure nasa station na kayo before 6 para sakay na kayo agad. From TST to airport around 20 mins lang naman by MTR. We were at the HKIA three hours before our flight but the check in counters were still closed, nagbukas sila 2 hrs before our flight na. You could web check-in naman para pagdating sa counter short queue lang. Mahirap nga lang medyo nagmamadali lalo if you have kids with you.

Anyway I'm sure there are taxis that early. Ask your guesthouse also baka they can provide you an airport shuttle.

Re MTR, don't be confused with the regular MTR trains and the Airport Express trains. The MTRs don't go direct to the airport ha. The nearest MTR stop to the airport is Tung Chung where the City Gate outlets are located. While the Airport Express as the name implies goes direct. Sa TST yung nearest AEL station is Kowloon. Meron mga free shuttle buses that pick up passengers at selected stops around the city to take you to the AEL station. Or you can take the regular MTR from TST and connect to the AEL at Tsing Yi.

IamKrish, Empire Hotel Causeway Bay ba? That's where my cousin and I stayed last April. My sister and her husband also stayed there.

Don't expect too much but I booked that hotel because it was one of the cheapest 4 star hotels sa area. Standard is not for a 4 star hotel anyway, it should be 3. Paligid ng hotel is hindi parang Ortigas or Makati CBD, more like Taft Avenue Manila or Pasay or sa mga loob ng cities in Metro Manila maybe but less busy. Madami restaurants in the area. Close to Tin Hau MTR and the first stop sa Airport free shuttle bus.

Okay naman if you just want a place to rest and sleep. Maliit ang room, parang sa Singapore and Japan 4 star hotels. Meron free mobile phone.

@sis chinablue - by 4AM sis nag-aabang na kami ng A21 bus going to HKIA from Nathan Road fronting Mirador Mansion, sa may Emperor sis ang bus stop ng A21 bus going to HKIA. Around 45 minutes ang byahe, by 5AM nsa HKIA na kami.

^first trip yata ng A21 yan, not sure though, last January 10 AM something flight namin pabalik Manila and 4 AM pa lang nag-abang na kami ng A21 bus going to HKIA. we allotted ample time to roam HKIA kasi since ang laki ng airport and dami pwedeng makita. Hehe! Night before your return trip sis check nyo na yung A21 bus stop sa kabilang kalye ng Mirador fronting Emperor.
