SSS and PhilHealth.

Hello mga sis,

I am 1 month pregnant. Member ako ng asawa ko sa SSS and PhilHealth nya. Need ko paba magapply? Or makukuha ko full maternity benefits dahil dependent nya ako?

Nagsearch nako sa mga threads about SSS and PhilHealth pero wala ako makita regarding this matter.

regarding SSS you need to have your own contribution as a Member to enjoy the Benefits. Sa Philhealth ata  hindi na if youa re already his dependent

^^ Sa Philhealth if you're already your husband's dependent you can avail of the benefits basta may at least 3 or 6 months ata na contribution prior to the month of giving birth. Kapag SSS, sadly, no. You need to have your own account and own contributions para maka-avail ng SSS maternity benefits.

Hi may question lang po ako. What if you found out di pala hinuhulugan ng employer mo ang sss for 1yr ? Pero 8weeks palang ng malaman na buntis ako then pinagpasa nila ako ng MAT1 pero according sa sss 1yr nang di nahuhulugan. Pag kausap naman ang HR sabi meron. anong pwedeng gawin?

^ Hi Sis, I personally experience this na hindi hinulugan ng employer ng sss. Right now I am not qualified to file Mat1 because of this. I went back and forth to my employer and even to sss to know who's at fault. Luckily, we have a family friend lawyer who is helping me. Sis, it is a crime for your employer not to remit your contributions. We gathered evidence that they deducted from my salary and did not remit to sss on time. Now, I suffer. We will submit a complain to sss and they will investigate and file a legal case against the company dahil even big companies daw madaming kaso na hindi nagbabayad ng taxes ng employees nila.

So now, I changed from employed to voluntary just so I can avail the Mat Benefit. My EDD is July 17,2015, so as per Sss i only need 3 contribution to qualify (Jan-March), but i can pay 6 months contribution to maximize the Mat Benefit. Kaya ganun nalang ang gagawin ko since im running out of time.

For Philhealth, ang Mat Benefit nila and Newborn Care Package meron din, kelangan lang updated hulog mo 6 months before manganak, if dependent ka ata you still have to get the MDR form and other forms na iprpresent mo pag manganganak na.

Pag voluntary din po ba may makukuha din? And depende padin sa contribution kung magkano po diba? Btw - medyo naguguluhan ako sa SSS. Yung maternity benefit na makukuha ko if ever, toward dun sa panganganak ko and may makukuha din po ba parang maternity leave benefits for 2 months after delivery?

^ MDR sis, I'm not sure pero sa Philhealth ata mismo kinukuha yun. Pero yung certificate of contributions mo tsaka yung isang form, I forgot if CF1 ba yun, basta yung may pirma ng employer sa employer makukuha yun, ask it from the HR of your hubby's employer. Alam na nila yun.

Voluntary? Philhealth ba? Yes may makukuha basta meron kang at least 6 months na contribution prior to giving birth and kumpleto requirements mo. And ang deduction sa Philhealth as far as I know eh fixed unlike sa SSS na depende sa contributions ang makukuha mong benefit. Philhealth deduction kapag NSD eh less than 10k ata. Kapag CS eh 19k tapos 1750 kay baby.

Regarding SSS basta may contribution ka at least 3 months prior to your semester of contingency eh eligible ka. Basta before giving birth eh magsubmit ka ng Mat 1 as early as possible. Kapag employed ka, employer ang mag-aadvance ng benefit mo at pag voluntary basta approved ang application mo at complete requirements makakakuha ka, yung iba 5 weeks after magfile ng requirements after giving birth eh nakuha na check nila.

Sis, sa SSS yung maternity benefit is once lang - supposedly kasi yan yung "compensation" mo kasi naka-leave ka after manganak. Kaya mas malaki nakukuha pag CS kasi mas mahaba din ang maternity leave ng CS. If you're employed, your employer MAY advance the amount to you para magamit po sa pagpanganak. If you're a voluntary member, after mo pa manganak makukuha to, once you submit your MAT2.

for the sss, how soon can you apply / notify sss about the pregnancy?

Yung sa SSS ko, nung may. HB na si baby nagpasubmit nako sa SSS na candidate for maternity benefit.. Pag nanganak na may form na fill up then submit uli.. Dun mo lang kasi malalaman kung Normal or CS ka.. Mabilis lang ata maclaim yun..

^^ 5k ata? Not sure. Basta not more than 10k.

^ At least 60 days of conception, but not later than the day of delivery. I filed mine when I was 4 months pregnant.

Ask ko lang kung pwede isubmit yung tatak ng munisipyo for birth cert instead na NSO pag nagsubmit na ng Mat 1 & 2 para maifile na yung reimbursement ko? Thank you

^same question. titignan lang ba nila yung may tatak ng local civil registrar then get the photocopy of it?

for CS, may dagdag pa silang hinihingi which is Operating Room Report or Surgical Memorandum duly certified ng hospital. Ang hassle nga, kasi I inquired sa hospital today tapos next week pa daw makukuha and may fee na 200 pesos. Kababalik ko pa lang from work. Had I known, sana nung naka ML pa ko inasikaso ko na. Akala ko kasi MAT 1 and MAT 2 lang eh.

Certified true copy/authenticated copy. Kahit photocopy lang basta may tatak and dry seal from the local civil registrar.

^ Yup pag CS meron nga, ako nga aside from the Operating Room Record hiningian pa ko ng medical certificate and discharge summary (both from the hospital din). And oh don't forget your Obstetrical History form. Hinahanap din yun.

Grabe andaming hinihingi pag CS buti sana kung libre yun.. Dun sa pag aanakan ko (CHMC) 150 yun bawat isa. Syempre hihingin sa SSS yung original, so pag kelangan mo ng extra copy another 150 nanaman..

kaloka, nakarequest na husband ko nung operating room report, di ko lang sure kung pati yung obstetrical history form eh isinama ng hospital though inindicate naman dun sa request na for SSS purposes. kelangan ko pa pala i-check ulit.

^ Sis yung Obstetrical History Form eh ikaw kukuha nun, search mo na lang sa net, download ka then print. Ikaw magpapapirma nun sa OB mo pag naprint mo na.

Is it true na atleast 6 months lang contri before your due? If so, makakahabol pa pala ko salamat naman. Im due on Jan 2016, pero tom ko pa lang iinquire pano mag voluntary. 2011 ata yung last job ko.
