For me, given bastos at mali yung mga guys, pero hindi mangyayari lahat yun kung umupo si Melissa sa tamang upuan.

Ganon lang kasimple yun. Umupo ka sa tamang upuan mo, then walang away.

Im not saying na tama yung guys, definitely mali sila (kung totoo man kwento ni Melissa) however, ano ba punot dulo ng away.

Nakakaloka yung rason na pipicturan yung clouds. My goodness. Ang simple simple ng pinagugatan nito. Basic common sense: if it's not your seat, then don't sit in it. The guy paid for that seat, therefore he has all the right to sit there. What was the guy supposed to do? Sit somewhere else and wait for melissa to finish taking photos of the clouds before he can sit in the seat that he paid for? Porket babae at matanda, kelangan pagbigyan kahit mali? She's not even that old. Grabe lang.
I checked melissa's instagram account. Dami din comments ng mga fans nya. Kesyo sina andrew daw ang mali dahil bastos, bakla daw, dapat ginagalang ang matandang babae, etc. Yes, given na naging bastos yung guys, but hindi naman mangyayari yun kung hindi sana umuupo si melissa sa hindi nya upuan. Parang there was a comment pa that said bakit daw basta na lang sya pinababa nung pilot, eh hindi naman daw alam nung pilot kung ano yung nangyari because he was not there. Haaay.

Madami kaninang comments na hindi pabor sa ginawa niya pero dinelete at binlock niya (just like my comment & my account). All I said was "with all due respect, a reserved seat is a reserved seat. You should took your seat instead because the other passenger paid for it." Then in an insant na-block na ako. That only goes to show hindi marunong umintindi ang taong 'to... na gusto niya i-project na madaming sumusuporta at naniniwala sa sinasabi niya kaya walang nega/against comments sa IG nya. The effects of juicing nga naman!

In addition, hindi sya basta-basta pabababain ng pilot kung di sya gumawa ng eksena. Wala nga yung pilot dun, but andun ang mga flight attendants who can attest to what happened.

Tsaka yun nga, bottomline, hindi nya upuan yun. dun sya kung saan sya naka-assign na seat. She may request to borrow or exchange seats pero may right ang other party (in this case, sila Andrew) to refuse her request. Kasi abala naman talaga no.

According to a friend who's working for cebu pac as a first officer, ground staff chismis daw na eto nga si Melissa sat on the wrong seat and the guy couldnt shut up about it (na provoke nga ata). She lost it and hit the guy and the crew. Pinababa siya kasi sinapak niya yung crew, yan dont ever ever do that talaga. Kasi fine may kawaaway kang other passenger on board, they can try to resolve that pero once you hit any of the crew, pulis talaga katapat mo once you land.

I saw this in one of the facebook comments. I don't know if this is true though
"I was on the same flight going to pagadian for some company orientation. I was sitting just two rows after them so i heard everything. the guy ask melissa if he could sit on 1A since it was reserved already. Melissa apparently didn't make any moves. so the guy called the crew,that was the time M.M got pissed. He then insulted the guy. lipat sya then [textspeak!] friend ni M.M assured everyone she will calm down. after 20 min the plane left M.M suddenly made a big scene confronting the guy. dun ko narinig sinabi ng guy get some mouthwash and we can talk again. then she slapped him,inawat sya ng crew, she slapped the crew. nagsisigaw sya sa plane. they are drunk i swear! so there was an announcent that we need to go back bcoz of one unruly passenger. it was discussed that aviation law will charge 500k and 3 years kulong. It was then she pleaded not to freak but it was too late. pabalik na ang plane."

Ang funny lang ng defense ni Denise. I mean, I get it, of course you'd support your Mom. But haler ang daming evidence and witnesses against your Mom. Di babalik ang plane for a customer who's so stubborn na gusto makita ang clouds. Kaloka!

I saw a post but I don't know if they've confirmed it was Amalia saying na one of her apos (from Liezl) asked for 7m to get a condo. Hays magbabang-luksa muna nga sila. I do hope her apos won't reply to this. Be like their dad who's been so quiet.

i guess we're in the minority but I agree with you. Practical view ko sa nangyari, alam na nila na drunk, pinatulan pa nila. These guys party all the time din judging from their social media accounts, they shpuld know how it is. I know it does not justify what she did, starting from showing up drunk, pero why provoke a drunk elderly woman "celebrity" kundi mo nakita na "opportunity" to to be the talk of the town and who knows what kasi merong honorarium to guest on talk shows. it worked both ways nga lang so...

About what denisse and MM said on mesmerized by the clouds, it could be true but that is not the point, lame excuse na lang sya to somehow justify what happened. This could have been handled well by both parties esp. kung mga celebs naman sila. maliit ang mundo ng showbiz plus they have common friends pa pala or even they themselves are "friends". dami tuloy naabala. this pamaran should not play the victim game kasi i think he is not that innocent.

Nakakalowka naman tong si Melissa Mendez. True, it's a big no no to hurt/hit cabin crews.

Ang di ko ma-gets eh bakit kailangan nya pa mag-explain on tv with matching cray-cray eh napaka shallow ng reason. Clouds? Nyek!

Ok fine she was humiliated and it's human nature to defend one self. But sana naman hindi na nya jinustify yung actions nya cause it's just plain wrong. Kahit anong angulo pa. Siya ang pinalayas sa eroplano period.

Instead of blaming other people for her actions it would have been better Kung nag apologize na lang siya especially sa mga pasahero na naabala because of all the hullabaloo  baka makuha pa nya sympathy ko.

Funny noh, how you can really tell who's open-minded and one-sided based on the comments and posts.

I just saw the Melissa Mendez interview on youtube. If I was ready to give her the benefit of the doubt before seeing the interview, Nako - NAWALA lahat ng sympathy ko sa kanya after that interview.

Apart from what most of our Sis have said above (I agree with the ladies here who found her pathetic and embarrassing) one more thing - I really lose respect  for people who play the gender and age card to manipulate some sympathy - such a pathetic PAAWA ploy.

I rolled my eyes when she did the whole melodramatic spiel "Kawawa naman ako, babae LANG ako, matanda na ako, lola na ako, single mother pa ako, buong buhay ko tinatapakan na lang ako...Kawawa naman ako." 

Good grief. 

Why bring up your history of being a single mother and taking care of your kids on your own?! Ano naman ang connect sa nangyari? She kept repeating it over and over again. She really looked OA while doing that.

She should stop playing the gender and age card - no one is buying it. (Oh I forgot she also played the religion card "Christian po ako...." Lahat nalang ng angle ginamit talaga LOL)

If she simply humbled herself and admitted she behaved badly and sincerely apologized and promised to never do anything like that again siguro people would feel a bit sorry pa for her, but justifying your actions AND playing the sympathy card has just annoyed more people. And her daughter's idiotic post - talk about digging yourself a deeper grave.

Ang puno't dulo lang naman kasi ng lahat ng offloading incident na 'yan e paglipat ng upuan. Kaya nga may seat assignment e. I once witnessed a senior citizen insisting that she took the special seat dahil hindi siya comfortable sa seat na binigay sa kanya. However, inabisuhan siya ng FA na hindi talaga pwede as per airline policy dahil una-- may isa na ding nag-request ng upuan na 'yun pero di niya din pinagbigyan dahil may "bayad" nga 'yung upuan. Nagiskandalo 'yung matanda at mura pa ng mura. Nakakainis lang talaga, parang hindi nakapag-aral at ayaw umintindi.

Going back to the topic ("has been" MM)-- mali man ang napagsabihan siyang hahampasin siya ng bag but I don't think a person would say that to you kung wala kang ginawa or sinabing foul na nakakainit na ng ulo. May provocation na nangyari. Hanggang sa dumating sa point na manuntok na nga siya at nadamay pa ang FA.

Hindi porke matanda na or babae ay automatic na dapat irespeto. Lahat ng tao dapat pakitunguhan natin ng maayos, bata man 'yan or ano man ang gender niyan.

Respect is EARNED, one should not automatically expect it of others.
Babae ka nga, ang kapal naman ng mukha mo and you are breaking rules - why expect the other party to give in? Just because babae ka, all the men should give in to you?

In the same way that sympathy shouldn't automatically be given to those who shed the most dramatic tears or have the most melodramatic proclamations on TV.

I personally believe my sympathy should be saved for REAL victims, people who have actually suffered. Hindi yung mga pa OA na pa-victim effect.

And the thing is, itong Melissa Mendez ang humihingi ng favor. When you ask someone for a favor, be ready for the other party to say NO. That's their right.

What I find very revealing is the fact the flight attendants had to intervene and issue her TWO warning cards. Even if the men said inappropriate things back to her - bakit sila hindi nabigyan ng warning man lang?

This reminds me of the macadamia nut rage incident in JFK airport involving the Korean airline owner's daughter.

It is very stupid to tamper with air regulations and fight with airline crew - regardless of who you are.
