I had my first ultrasound yesterday, tvs. After ng checkup with dr. Tansinsin of vt maternity, he told us very positive dw at mukhang walang dapat ipag alala sa pregnancy ko kasi walang bleeding at all. Wala rin ako morning sickness.
except lang sa gas pains. When i asked him kung kelan kaya ako manganganak, he said possibly mga oct 27. Pero possible na maiba yun depende sa anong makikita sa ultrasound.we told him gusto namin magpa tvs kasi excited na kami.
sabi nya, kung walang bleeding at walang adverse symptoms, he recommends ultrasound on the 5th month na. But we told him gusto na talaga namin makita.
Yun nga lang may sked ang ultrasound nila 9-12 lang pag saturday. Pwede naman daw ipagawa namin sa iba. Pumunta kami sa medical city, sm marikina-2,100 ang tvs. Namahalan kami kaya naghanap kami sa internet ng iba- we found good shepherd lab sa concepcion, marikina. 500 lang ang tvs.
During my tvs, pinayagan naman husband ko sa loob. Ob-sono din ang gumawa ng tvs. Nagulat ako when she said, "dalawa po ang nakikita ko". Then i said, "ano po ibig nyo sabihin?"
Sabi nya, she can see 2 yolk sacs and 2 fetal poles which means we might be having twins.
"Early twin intrauterine pregnancy of about 6 weeks and 4days age of gestation by crl of the bigger embryo. Monochorionic, diamnionic. Follow up study is recommended to reassess viability. Sonographically normal ovaries and adnexae."
Ang next checkup ko kay dr tansinsin ay april 25. Dun pa lang kami kukuha ulit ng new referral for ultrasound. Hopefully, bale 10th week na nung fetuses by that time, marinig na yun heartbeats nila.
We were told to be positive but there are cases na nawawala yung isa, natutunaw-a condition called the vanishing twin syndrome. Based on my research, it only occurs in only about 20% of all twin pregnancies. So im thinking positive about this, because my twins have 80% of surviving as twins.
We're so happy.
