I just got my saYa today. I had my RS replaced with a saYa. hindi ko matutunan gamitin saka ang haba haha. ngayon it feels like fitted lang sakin yung saYa. it's supposed to fit the wearer diba? not the baby. sana pwede to. otherwise ewan if pwede ko pa ipareplace as this is my 2nd replacement na from babymama heheh

ok lang yan mommy, sa wearer nga talaga fit kasi para makakilos ka ng kumportable. pero make sure din kumportable si lo habang nakasakay. kung ok naman sya walang problema. mag-eenjoy ka dyan mommy kasi ako 17mos na si lo yan pa din gamit ko. bitbit ko sya kahit saan. masakit lang sa likod kasi minsan 4hrs ko sya karga hehe

Yay, new thread!

Been watching youtube lately, kasi gusto ko matuto nang ibang carries using woven wrap. Sa ngayon, isa lang alam ko, fwcc. Hehe.. gusto ko din matuto ng back-carry.

Lately, sobrang init na so mas ginagamit ko ang Boba Air kesa sa SaYa. Though I still love my SaYa vtb kaya bitbit ko pa din lagi, ginagamit ko pag indoors na kami at may aircon na..

si hubby, Ergo gamit nya, for his exclusive use lang yun kasi ayaw namin yung adjust-adjust pa ng straps if gagamitin ko yun..

^ sis, for bigger babies, IMO, mas ok ang two-shoulder carriers, mas even ang distribution ng weight..

Re SaYa, some Moms said na yung VTB e lumalaylay eventually pag mabigat si baby. Yung SSK is less stretchy so less din paglawlaw. Although personally, about 9kg si baby, ok pa naman kami sa VTB.. I bought a stabilizer na din, in case nga maglawlaw na sya, para me added support if ever.

^ naku sis, madaming options: hybrds like SaYa/KTan, stretchy wraps (Moby, Boba, etc), woven wrap (me mga local brands like Izzy Breezy, QB, etc), SSCs (brands like Ergo, Tula, Boba, etc), mei tai. As to what's best, it depends on the person. Hiyangan din kasi ang carriers..

pa-member ka sa Babywearing Philippines sa FB. Minsan me meet-ups, other members bring their carriers so other moms can try it. Para malaman which works for them. Madami din dun information na pwede mo maging guide.

that's probably because heavy na baby mo sis. Saya is stretchy kasi diba so mag sa-sag sya sa heavier babies.

I've learned about proper babywearing I think 5 months ago when I joined babywearing philippines. I immediately disposed my picolo SSC na narrow based and bought a wrap. I thought I'd stop there, kaya I chose wrap kasi magagamit until end of babywearing days. But now I have 2 wraps, 2 mei tais, 2 ring slings, and a tula I love all of them!

My baby kasi likes to sit up na and di ko na kaya na karga all the time. So far okay naman cya. I can move freely with both hands and pwede na ko gumala mag-isa while carrying her. Problem ko kasi pag aalis di ko maclose/open ng gate namin pag karga si baby.

^ Piccolo kasi yata is a narrow-based carrier - yung naka-dangle ang legs ni baby. Kaya di sya advisable. Though an NBC carrier actually does not cause hip dysplasia, it does aggravate an existing condition. And it is uncomfortable for baby, especially after some time.

And when buying carriers, especially SSCs (soft structured carriers), be mindful of the quality of the buckles, straps, stitches, etc. Imagine if bigla masira ang buckles nyan, o mapigtas ang tahi. Baka hindi nya pala kayanin ang bigay or likot ni baby.. one Mommy shared sa Babywearing Philippines na she witnessed an incident sa isang mall na nahulog ang baby kasi naputol yung strap nung carrier na suot ng Mommy (buckled na Disney carrier yata yun..). Buti na lang daw nahawakan ng Mommy with one hand yung baby so hindi nalaglag sa floor..

That's one reason why recommended SSCs are generally pricey (Ergo, Tula, Boba, etc). Safety-tested ang buckles and other parts, and me quality control. Mas magiging kampante tayong parents na safe si baby while in the carrier.

Just got my Saya! Very easy to use and mukhang enjoy si baby. I plan to bring her kasi with me when I have to report for work for 2-3 days at the end of the month. Wala pa kasi kaming yaya and I don't think my mom can handle a whole day with her pa. I have a Bebeta SSC but very limited ang galaw ko sa newborn carry nila.

Just wondering, aside from Tula, may iba pa po bang carrier na de-buckle? Yun adjustable pero hindi de-tali. Not really fond sa mga pagtali-tali. :/

I have Baby K'Tan. Okay naman siya, madaming options on how to wear baby. pero ayaw ng baby ko, kaya ang ginawa ko, pinaghiwalay ko yung dalawang loop then ginagamit na lang namin as support when carrying baby, and not as carrier talaga. Nakakangalay din kasi magkarga.

I have another carrier, Infantino yung brand pero parang ayaw ko nun kasi narrow-based siya. Si hubby lang nagpumilit bumili nun kasi di daw mukhang bulky. Gusto ko pa din yung k'tan, sana magustuhan na din ni baby eventually.

Sa ngayon, puro stroller at karga pa lang kami pag umaalis.

Madami sis. Some of the reputable SSC brands are: Ergo, Boba, Beco, etc..

400? nag sale sis? Hindi recommended yung narrow based nila kasi gaya din ng sabi ni sis bagaholic_chewy, dangling ang legs. Any carrier na narrow based, not recommended talaga kasi it can worsen hip dysplasia (if existing). If wala namang hip dysplasia, very uncomfortable pa rin for the baby and the wearer, and it does not support the natural position of the baby's spine (curved like letter C) and legs (spread wide in an M position). Para mas madaling maka relate, imagine riding a motorcycle na naka dangle lang ang legs mo, walang patungan ng paa. Ganyan din ka uncomfortable ang baby sa NBC.

Though Picolo has mei tai, yung may tali tali. I have that one too. It's really nice and comfortable. Pero there was an issue na nakalagay sa ad nila sa baby company website na up to 12 lbs lang ang weight limit. Although some moms speculate na it's 12 kgs and not 12 lbs and probably typo lang yung ad, hindi naman kinonfirm ni baby company yun with us. We were requesting for clarifications actually, to no avail. Pag pupunta ka naman sa mall, ang sasabihin ng SA, up to 12-15kgs yun. Wala naman nakalagay sa box, kaya since hindi nag confirm si baby company, assume na lang natin na up to 12 lbs lang talaga.

nabasa ko din yung post na yun sis! very scary! paakyat pa sila ng hagdan nung nangyari yun. So please be mindful talaga in buying baby carriers kasi safety din ni baby ang nakasalalay. Lalo na yung super nipis ng straps and buckles. Nakakatakot! May actual case talaga na namatay yung baby dahil nahulog I think sa UK yun. And tingnan nyo din ang weight capacity. Meron akong nakitang isang mom sa St. Lukes, hindi sya marunong gumamit ng carrier, tapos yung baby nya newborn pa as in super kalalabas lang. Masyadong malaki sa kanya yung carrier (NBC din) and super nakaktakot na baka lumusot sa gilid yung baby at malaglag or ma suffocate kasi masyado pa syang maliit.

I had the NBC picolo before diba. Mukhang okay ang straps and buckles, malalaki and mukhang matibay. But still, baka hindi rin sya dumaan sa quality at safety check so I still won't recommend it. Actually tinry ko sya ulit recently, aba, sobrang nabigatan ako sa baby ko. Na appreciate ko ang comfort na nabibigay ng tamang pag wear sa baby kasi sa carriers ko ngayon, very comfy kami, almost weightless. Mararamdaman ko lang na mabigat sya after 3 hours or so.

I love love my Sayas pero feeling ko sumisikip habang lumalaki si baby. I know this shouldn't be the case and should fit the wearer. Kayo mga sis, until when nyo nagamit ang Saya kay baby? My LO is 5 months old now-- 68cm long and 7.5 kg. heavy.

^ well, it's supposed to be snug anyway.. para mas secure si baby... my daughter is 9.5mos, 9kg. Ok pa naman SaYa Versatek ko. Though di ko na everyday nagagamit latelu kasi mainit ang panahon, I switched muna to Boba Air for outdoor use kasi mas presko.

^ true, snug naman dapat. It's a workout lang to wear sometimes pag bagong laba. I'm thinking of selling them but might reserve them pag malamig na uli.

^ yeah, medyo effort nga to wear the other shoulder dahil snug (I usually wear one shoulder first, the other side nasa waist ko lang. Then put baby in. Then wear other shoulder. Adjust-adjust.). At least hindi pa naman nagsa-sag yung tela, for now..

 That's why I chose versatek din, kasi stretchy kahit papano. Yung ssk kasi e konting stretch lang, feeling ko mas mahirap isuot. Hehe..

Ang init lang talaga lately. So naaawa ako kay baby if nag-SaYa vtb ako when we're walking around the neighborhood pag hapon ..
