Application received lang nakalagay. May 13 na alis namen, we booked the tickets during PAL's sale last year. Hindi tuloy kame maka book ng hotel kase sabi ko kay hubby hintay muna namin visa namin.

just received an email from the aussie embasy saying visa granted with a pdf file attached. is this the actual visa already? the email says just to keep the letter for reference

^Yes. They no longer issue sticker/label visas.

nag file ako sis nung 2nd-3rd week of march and got it granted on the last week of march

Mga sis. Just wanna know kung bakit ok lang sa iba na magbook ng tickets kahit wala pang visa? What if hindi na grant ang visa?

^I assume they're willing to take the risk. If you notice most got their tickets on sale, too good to pass up. Or they're just confident they'll get the visa anyway.

^^ we got it on sale nga kaya my tickets na kame before we request for visa hehe. Tapos feeling namin ma-approve kame since we have US/schengen din. Thank God approved naman haha

Alright.. Kasi I applied subclass 600 (tourist visa) for my parents. I'm still waiting for the visa grant kaya kahit nakakita ako ng seat sale, di ko pa mabili. Hehe, mahirap na. yung mga nag apply ng tourist visa dito pinag medical pa ba kayo?

You will only be required to undergo medical exam if you are staying for more than 3 months.

I applied for 6 months for my parents kasi. While the parents of my other friends who recently arrived here didn't need to have health assessments because of the shorter stay. Just waiting for the approval now. Hoping for a positive outcome.

wow. dami pala pasyalan dito sa sydney. i already tried circular quay, darlibg harbour, watsons and rose bay.

its almost winter and ask po ako advice. dapat ba talaga nakaboots pag winter? di naman nagssnow sa sydney e. tapos where po maganda bumili ng winter jackets? coats ba dapat or jacket lang?

sa lamig kase ngayon naka pajamas nako pero nakasweatshirt pako matulog and socks. ang lamig na kase.

^good quality winter coats and jackets will cost you a fortune. you can shop in Myer or David Jones and you'll find really nice but expensive brands. If you are after those winter coats na within the $50-$150 mark, you can try Valley Girl, Cotton On or Sports Girl. Ok din naman quality and will provide enough warmth. Otherwise, op shop is the place to go. Boots aren't really necessary.

Agree with the heatech of Uniqlo. That's what hubby wears every time he flies there during the winter months. Plus he also has his North Face Thermoball jacket, the super light synthetic insulated jackets. Ginawin din kasi sya kaya he needs really warm jackets.
