I am planning to pass my online visa application early next week for August 26 flight to Sydney. There's a portion in the application form wherein I am asked who would pay for my expenses.  I need your opinion on this one. I will be staying in my friend's house (friend of a friend) but then the drop-down list to indicate the relationship to that person. The list only includes spouse, relatives and the like. Shall I indicate that I'll be spending for the accommodation instead since friend is not in the list? My worry is that I don't have much in the bank but I have used Japan and South Korea visa (traveled 2014) and valid 10year-US visa.

sis, dapat nag-apply ka ng mas maaga baka kasi alanganin na kung august 26 yong alis mo. usually 1-1.5 month na processing ngayon. mas ok sana kung may sponsor ka para kahit konti lang pera mo sa bank ok lang. pero since wala sa choices yong friend ikaw na nga lang lahat gagastos. ilang araw ka ba sa AU? dagdagan mo na lang muna pera mo sa bank, hiram ka sa friend then after mong makakuha ng bank cert pwede mo ng soli

Hello! Just got back from Sydney. We visited Canberra too. Mas malamig sa Canberra than Sydney. Malamig din sa Sydney lalo kapag gabi and morning. Sobrang nakakatamad lumabas ng bahay. Haha. We also went to Snowy Mountains to experience snow. Lakas ng snow nung punta namin, almost like a blizzard already. I enjoyed naman our vacation despite the cold. Mas okay lang siguro kung di masyado malamig. Haha!

^hehe kaya ayoko talaga ng winter sis kasi sa canberra si hubby mas OA ang lamig. laging autumn yong punta ko don, kahit autumn nagze-zero degrees don. sept balik ako para ma-experience naman spring

Today, their minimum is -2 I think.

If you want less cold weather, don't visit during the winter months. Instead, try visiting late Spring or early Summer. Or early to mid Autumn.

Oo nga eh, I think spring would be really nice. Maganda din daw pumasyal sa mga park kapag Spring coz they decorate it with blooming plants. Ngayon tuyo lang na mga grass. Haha!

Ang lamig talaga sa Canberra, may araw naman nung punta namin pero yung hangin freezing cold talaga. Saka bakit ganon, we went there on a Sunday, and mukhang ghost town. Hahaha! Siguro din dahil winter, ayaw lumabas ng mga tao. We stayed in Canberra for 2 days and visited Parliament House, Aus National University and National Museum.

^ang konti lang talaga sis ng tao don lalo na pag sunday maaga nagsasara mga establishment. yoko din tumira don, buti na-convinced ko si hubby na sa cebu kami mag-settle down. maganda rin sis yong cockington green garden sana pinuntahan nyo. yong floriade flower festival (canberra) & tesselaar tulip festival (melbourne) ang target ko sa spring

Kulang yung time namin sa Canberra kaya ang konti ng napuntahan namin. We traveled from Sydney around lunchtime and arrived in Canberra around 4pm, dropped by Parliament House lang to have a photo tapos alis na kase ang lamig. Haha. Checked in at [textspeak!] University House for the night then traveled to Snowy Mountains the following day. We went back to Canberra two days after, checked in at University House again and went to the National Museum the following day. Kulang nga din time namin sa museum kase we need to travel back to Sydney na. Kakapagod actually. May kasama din kase kaming baby kaya usually tanghali na kami nakaka alis. Hopefully, well be able to visit again soon so we can visit the other places, but not during winter. Haha!

^i see, kulang nga oras tapos pabalik-balik din kayo nakakapagod yon autumn or spring sis sakto lang lamig. yoko din ng summer kasi sobrang init naman, hehe. masarap lang pag nasa gold coast ka daming beach

^Hi rocky, I'd be staying in Sydney for 8days. I attached the hostel booking and roundtrip plane ticket as well. Then I requested for stock certificate , which I'll attach once available.

Do I need to attach the application checklist if the application is passed online?

^hindi na sis, kung mapapansin mo may mga suggested docs don na pwede mong attached as supporting docs

^thank you sis rocky. may nakita ako sa link na enquiry form wherein ifill out ng name birthday and email then may small box for other details daw. doon ko na lang nilagay ang letter ko requesting to follow up status. kasi 38th day ko na still "application receive" pa rin.

morning ako nag send ng enquiry ko. wala pa rin feedback till now.  I will check tomorrow. not sure kung tama ba yun napuntahan ko link

hopefully magreply sila agad sayang ticket namin ni hubby sa 29 na.

^mahirap ngang maghintay sis lalo na next week na pala alis nyo. di mo alam kung mag-iimpake ka or what. nong nag-email ako sa kanila after 1 month, wala akong nareceived na reply then after 1 week saka ko nareceived yong grant letter.

yong friend ni hubby nag-apply para sa pinay gf nya. sinabihan ko na mag-apply na ng visa kung august ang target. eh ang kulet ang binook na ticket july. after a month wala pa rin hanggang sa nong flight na nya. hehe nong tinanong ko tungkol sa visa saka lang nagcheck ng email, ayun granted kinabukasan. kaso nasayang na yong ticket, nagbook na lnag uli sya
