^^^Megumii, Jetstar might have different requirements re transiting since Cebu Pacific first flight niyo. Baka palabasin pa rin kayo immigration. Better check with them.

^Glacy nakaka-stress naman iyan. So the transit visa they give is for one journey lang?

Sis we didn't have problem with Aussie kasi yun talaga destination namen, siningit lang namen si NZ kasi kadikit na nga lang but the stress with visa with single entry, gosh nakakaiyak talaga.

Parang sana di nalang kame tumuloy pero andun na, tapos na, alangang hindi kame umuwi diba. Kaya napabili kame uli ng tickets. No choice kame.

Sis irerequire talaga sila to go out and pass by the immigration kasi the Cebu Pacific people won't give the luggages to Jetstar, you have to get it yourself and drop it to Jetstar. Believe me naipit na kame.to the highest level ang stress.

I think so yes, valid for 3days lang eh. Sat na flight nila, better call or email the embassy here. But I highly doubt that they'd release. I even got mad with the Embassy of Australia in NZ because I asked them and they said its ok but come the day I said to them they did not give me correct details and said I did not provide correct details as well. So yon sisihan, in the end walang choice.

Wala pa visa ko. 1 month on the 8th. How do i follow up? Is there an enquiry form and a certain email address i could follow up my application?

glacy_rein is right - talagang lalabas pa ng immigration to collect the luggage from Cebu Pacific, tapos they will need to approach the check in counter again for their next (Jetstar) flight. This was what we did when we flew to Manila from Sydney (ADL to SYD via Qantas, then SYD to MLA via PAL). The luggage was not checked through Manila.

can't give any advise lang about the transit visa because I have no experience...

Thanks for the feedback, sis. Will be applying for a Transit Visa tomorrow morning since I've got no other choice. I also called the embassy and they said the processing time is 3 days and they can just e-mail me the transit visa. I don't mind being stressed out pre-departure (at least I was warned beforehand); I'm just really crossing my fingers our flights will be smooth-sailing onwards. But honestly, if I had more time, I would have applied for a Tourist Visa to be sure nothing would go wrong even though I won't be leaving the airport.

I've gone through the itineraries Cebu Pacific and Jetstar sent me and it does state that we personally have to get our luggage from one aircraft then check it in another one for connecting flights.

@sis glacy_rein, thanks for the help. I have no choice cause my sister needs to be in Auckland next Tuesday for her conference at University of Auckland so we really have no time to apply for a Tourist Visa and just need to settle for Transit Visa and cross our fingers everything will be okay. I also spoke to Australian Embassy representative and they say we don't really need a Transit Visa as long as it's within the 8-hour window time but as they say, you can't really be too sure. If I have to shell out P620 for the processing fee to at least decrease the chances of things going wrong, I'd do it. Sadly, at this point, Transit Visa is all I have left.

@vain_kixie - sis try to email, I emailed them before (sorry I can't find the email anymore) tapos dumating nadin agad within the day yung visa namen nun.

^did you clarify sis if you can re-use the transit visa when going back from Auckland - Sydney and Sydney-Manila?

Okay sige balitaan mo kame regarding Cebu Pacific then transit to Jet Star.

I called them via phone then told them my itinerary first (Manila-Sydney then Sydney-Auckland plus Auckland-Sydney then Sydney-Manila via different airlines) and I asked if I need to posses a specific Australian visa for that, and they replied they can't really advise and it's up to the me. I then told them some people advised me to either get a Transit Visa or a Tourist Visa and they said I don't really need a Tourist Visa if it's just a connecting flight and I won't be staying in Australia for more than 3 days(?) if I remember correctly. I told them I read the description of Transit Visa and we would only be staying at the airport for less than 7 hours, which means I don't really need that kind of visa and they told me as long as I fulfill the requirements, then there would be no problem. However, it really depends with the airline if they would require a Transit Visa or not. Then I asked if I can still make it if I apply for the Transit Visa just to be sure no problems would arise and they say I can still make it and I can opt to have it sent via e-mail if I don't have time to get it personally.

Even the Sydney Airport website is not clear about the transit info. Nakalagay doon ask the airline. This makes me appreciate the website ng Changi; may instructions pa sa iyo re transiting. I've taken a flight to Manila via Scoot with a transit at Changi then transfer to Jetstar, I have to go through immigration too but at least I was not stressed because of their website.

^yes that is why. super hassle talaga. better have that Transit visa kesa ma-stuck kayo. Good thing too that you asked here and I've shared my story.

Goodluck on the application and safe flight on Saturday. (We enjoyed the Hobbiton tour, don't mind the Wellington Rover if you are looking at it, pretty waste of time and money - Sorry if off-topic)

nasa ganyan na talaga processing time nila sis ngayon. yong friend ko na paalis next month sinabihan ko na mag-apply ng maaga, ayun granted kahapon lang. inabot ng 1 month & 1 week yong application nya

When are you flying out? Kami sa 22 na. Booked and paid flight. Cheap lang though kasi via cebu pac. My hubby and baby may visa na (us citizen), yung akin super tagal. Wondering how and where to contact them to follow up.

Sa mga nag lodge online. .pina CTC nyo pa ba docs na ni updload nyo?
And kung may sponsor from Au, signed ba by a JP mga supporting docs ni sponsor?

btw, nabasa ko sa isang forum na kaya mahigpit na sila sa TV dahil marami raw Filipino na pumasok under TV pero hindi na nagsi uwi dyan.

^nong unang apply ko sis pina-notarized ko yong docs ko & pina-sign ko sa JP yong docs ni hubby. pero recently hindi na kasi magastos & hassle pa sa part ni hubby, lahat scanned docs lang pinasa ko & granted pa rin

Oo nga magastos talaga pa notaryo sa Pinas. Dito naman free sana kaso need mag undertime4 ni hubby or kaya mag absent.so ganon din.
buti na approve pa rin visa mo.
paano sis yung Stat Declaration ni husband mo? Pati yan walang sign ng JP?

Naisip ko rin ang written statement ni mother ko na alam ko dapat pa notaryo para maging legal document. ..
btw paano nga pala pag submit ng passport size photo kung online app?

para akong nangangapa sa online palibhasa lahat ng app ko dito mula TV up to spouse visa puro paper lodge sa Makati office nila.

Sabi mas mabilis daw ang result if you lodge it sa VFS kesa sa online.
