Sa given name ba mga sis you right your given name plus mother's maiden name ala  US visa? Or just given name and last name?

Eg: Maria Cristina Cruz Samson

Given Name: Maria Cristina Cruz
OR
Maria Cristina?

^maria cristina lang sis kasi yang cruz ginagamit natin na middle name. pero sila sa AU middle name nila yong second name

^so for AU visa purposes, what should one use as first name: maria cristina or maria cristina cruz?

For US visa, it is maria cristina cruz but I'm not sure with AU visa. I'm also interested to know since I will be applying a visa too.

Yung ginamit namin before is, given name = first name and middle name
Wala naman naging problem sa application. Mas okay kasi isali yung middle name especially kapag masyadong common name ang gamit.

Sa application form I only used my first names (M.A.) and surname. No middle name. If ever Makikita din naman yung middle name sa birth certificate and passport bio page na isa-submit nyo na docs.

After more than 2 months dumating na ang result ng visa application ko. I got denied. Ang reason na binigay dun sa document is something along the lines of the applicant failed to demonstrate significant ties in the Philippines nor would it be reasonable for the applicant to be away from her commitments and responsibilities...therefore no weight is given to asset ownershp, business ties....

I thought perhaps it's because I applied for myself only and leaving my 6-year old kid and hubby behind. Hubby said dapat daw family na [textspeak!] inapply ko baka na-approve pa.

Oh well, better luck next time

Sis @wandergirl their reason is so vague because obviously, may family ka (baby to be exact) na babalikan sa pinas. Baka you can apply again and yes, include your family.

I got my visa after 28 days. And yes, i sited that i will only be there for 1.5 months because I have work to come back to.

Ang tagal lang talaga ng processingg ng visa nila be it na online pa yun ha.

Depends din siguro yung processing time kung kelan nag-apply (low season less load of applicants), country where one lodged the application or profile ng applicant. I got my visa grant after 10 working days. I applied online here in Manila. I read yung isang sis naman got hers the next day but she applied at the country where she was based.

They decision document even said that I have submitted complete documents and have enough funds to support my stay. I also attached a copy of my US visa multiple entry and other travel exit/entry stamp. Still,  declined pa rin.

Medyo kinakabahan tuloy ako kasi plan ko pa naman mag apply ny Canadian visa soon to visit an ailing grandma. So baka ma-refuse din ako waaaaaaa.

Share ko lang din my experience in applying for visa. I applied for Visitors Visa Subclass Sponsored Family for me and my 9 yr old son last Feb for intended stay of 2 weeks with target travel 2nd week of August. I was able to submit the documents almost a week pa after I lodged our visas. I don't know if there is a list somewhere of the required docs but in my case nakita ko lang once I lodged the applications so nagkumahog ako mg scan ng mga documents. Some documents like enrollment cert for my son takes awhile to process and the statutory declaration needs to be notarized pa. Anyway, about a week after I submitted most of the documents, my brother in law in Sydney called me up. Sabi nya the case officer called and told him of the issues regarding my application: 1) my consultancy contract is only until June 2015 so baka daw hinde na ako bumalik; 2) paano daw yung anak ko if August daw yung travel namin marami daw ma mi miss na classes. On 2nd issue, inexplain nya naman daw na yung travel dates namin will coincide with several holidays here in the Phils so less absences for my son. Tapos sabi daw ng case officer, she will make a decision na in 3 days time so I need to submit other documents within 3 days and she will forward it to her superior na. Sa kanya daw ok lang pero baka daw kapag sa superior nya na baka daw i deny.

Anyway, I ended up submitting several other documents like business registration and permits and a letter explaining that my work as a consultant in an international development bank is subject for renewal and also have a business aside from consultancy work. Sabi ko pa, I am hoping this will attest to our intent to travel only to visit my sister and her family, see popular places and travel back to Philippines to carry on with my work and business responsibilities. Almost 3 weeks after sending the additional documents, we received our visas.

Anyway, siguro kung hinde tumawag yung case officer sa BIL ko, our applications would've been denied. Her issues naman makes sense but it also goes to show lang na these case officers really try to scrutinize our intention to visit and try to really look behind each of our circumstances to arrive at a decision. So my advise siguro is to provide enough documents to prove our intention to just visit and not stay.

How long is the visa turnout recently? I'll be submitting my documents this week and we're flying out on July 22. Sana i get the results fast.

My son and my husband got the result of their ETA 601 literally 30 seconds minute after submission. Ang problema ko hindi ko ma view yung eta ng husband ko. Ive tried a gazillion times so kinakabahan ako baka may maling detail akong na input sa eta niya. I tried emailing eta.contaxt@sita.aero asking for help pero no reply more than a week na. Any other email addresses i can contact them with?

Oo nga eh, medyo nagulat din ako na tumatawag pala sila. Naisip ko baka dahil family sponsorship. Tapos nakakatawa na pati yung absences ng anak ko sa school naiisip pa nila. Hahaha

^apply ka uli sis subclass 600 na lang para di mahigpit. invitation letter lang, driver's license, COE, payslip, bank statement & credit card statement submit mo from your sponsor
